Watch this movie! It's been 20 years but still just so good! It is filled with comedy, action, emotions, and a great story! A wild wild ride back to the wild wild west. Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson are geniuses.

The story is nothing to crow about but Wilson and Chan are an appealing enemies-to-buddies pair in this silly western. Their chemistry and the largely inventive fights make this a pleasant way to waste of a few hours. Chan gets a lot of laughs from his physical while Wilson gets a lot of laughs from his dopey surfer dude schtick. This has the second best drunk horse in Western history behind Cat Ballou.

This is a really cool movie. A really, really good movie. Jackie's back with Owen Wilson as his mismatched partner this time. They're a great duo, nearly as good as Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. Lucy Liu is in this too and shes very hot. I'm not going to waste anybody's time with my review so I'm going to put it in my own words: Great movie.
Overall the movie has some good action sequences and it is very funny. I loved it from beginning to end. Rating 10 out of 10.

Imperial guardsman (Jackie Chan) in China must get to 1880s America to rescue the princess from a greedy expatriate; he accidentally gets associated with an outlaw and is soon implicated as one himself.
Predictable, but balances comfortably between Kung Fu action and comedy (The Indian marriage, the obedient horse, and the hilariously sarcastic bounty hunter played by Xander Berkeley) Anachronisms out-of-the-way (this is only fluff) the only blemish of the movie is Owen Wilson. No comic timing or personality and too into himself.

Not such a big surprise having a Chinese man in the Wild West, the Chinese did build the railways there, provided laundry services and cooks, so having a Gong Fu artiste roaming the west is not so far fetched.
This is a fun movie, Chen Long gets up to his fantastic tricks with his Gong Fu stunt team, there is nothing new with this action, Jackie has done it lots of times before, but it's not boring, and very clever.
Owen Wilson does his usual dodgy nut nice/ well intended poor mans entrepreneur/playboy, again not new.
The chemistry between the two works well, with Lucy Liu providing the pretty girl, to brighten up proceedings, we all know they are going to win the day, but that is not a problem, it's the action and fun along the way that makes the film, they are not pretending to make a classic, and they don't need to be shakespearean quality in the acting stakes, just do what they usually do, and what everyone expects, and they do that well.

"Shanghai Noon" could be called an "action-kung-fu-western-comedy". It is an interesting hybrid but it really isn`t any original. Still, originality never was a big part of Jackie Chan`s movies, the fun-element was. "Shanghai Noon" has got bags of great martial-art, and plenty of humour. I actually thought this was a more enjoyable movie than "Rush Hour", but Jackie Chan in Hollywood still isn`t the same as in the good old days. "Shanghai Noon" was the first of Jackie Chan`s films I saw at the cinema, and as all Jackie Chan-fans know, the stunts that went wrong can be seen when the film is over, and this is always a lot of fun. This is a must-see for Jackie Chan-fans. People looking for a serious romantic drama or something like that should avoid it, because you wouldn`t like it. 8/10
