SCREWBALLS is very much a typical teen sex comedy of the 1980s, inspired by the likes of PORKY'S and made on a relatively low budget. As usual, a bunch of male characters are extermely horny and trying to get off with every girl in the school, although part of the plot follows their vendetta against a prom queen. The emphasis is very much on bare female flesh and men spying on girls, but the humour isn't too bad at times and a precursor to the likes of AMERICAN PIE. Some of the characters, such as the geeky Howie, are fitfully amusing too. No classic, but it passes the time if you like the genre.

This movie is simply funny and easy going. Very light T&A movie with lots of teen sexual references. Nothing too deep but probably the father of American Pie.

i didn't find anything special about this alleged sex comedy.i think i laughed twice throughout the movie.the whole thing is really random and incoherent in my opinion.but it wasn't the worst movie i've ever seen or the worst of the genre,for that matter.it isn't very memorable though.in a day or two,i'll have forgotten most of the movie.i thought the soundtrack was pretty lame also.there are a fair amount of naked breasts in the movie,but that alone doesn't make it worth watching,in my books.it's touted as a raunchy sex comedy,in fact 'the raunchiest sex comedy of the 80's' but i didn't think it was raunchy at all.for me,Screwballs is a 3/10

This movie is the Canadian version of "Porky's", only sexier. The cast is set quite similar to "Porky's". With one exception. These guys have got to be slick, or else. In the beginning, everyone who trusted this princess got busted "on the spot"! What a pity. However, revenge is always in the mix, and these guys are very persistent in getting even. Some of these cast members are new to me, the plot is quite similar to "Porky's". Except the bowling alley. Everyone gets to participate in "Strip Bowling". It was real funny when the dorky guy got a bowling ball stuck on his "thing". Talking about singing soprano! Everything else trying to get it off was more drastic than helping, except when the ladies got him hot, and then STRIKE! Talk about he scores, HAHAHA! Able to get the last laugh on the culprit, this movie ended in a flash! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you like "Porky's", you'll love "Screwballs" just as well. Rating 3 out of 5 stars!

It's the 60's at Taft and Adams (T&A) High School. The boys are sex obsessed. Five boys get detention for sexual misconducts. Purity Busch is responsible for the demise of some of them. The boys vow to get back at the impossible Busch. This Canadian high school sex romp tries to follow the great success of Porky's. The production is lower level. It certainly doesn't have anything as iconic as the shower scene. It's a poor attempt at a money grab. Some of the pranks are confused. It does precede Revenge of the Nerds. The difference is that the guys are not really friends. There is no character work here. It's just an excuse of T&A, mostly T. I'm guessing the local strippers got some extra work. The only joke that worked is the name of the high school. It's so on the nose that it's funny. Otherwise, non of it is funny. This is weak.

A movie that could only be made in the early 80's. It has a very USA "Up All Night with Rhonda Shear" vibe to it except with a lot more nudity. It's very much Porky's redheaded step child as the entire plot is 5 high school guys trying to see a high school virgin named Purity's *. A mission that no man has yet to accomplish. Yes that is the plot. There's a scene where they go strip bowling and the stereotypical typical nerd gets his member stuck in one of the holes. A couple girls get him all worked up and he "shoots" the ball down the lane for a strike. Why did I give this movie 3 stars again?
