"Pain is the price we pay for love"
After watching 'Saptha Sagaradache Ello, I don't have just one emotion. It's mix of feelings, I guess. I typically avoid intense love story movies, even though I'm a sucker for love stories, because they often come with too much pain, and I'd rather not carry that with me. However, my all-time favourite romantic movie is '96' which is also quite intense.
The beauty of 'Saptha Sagaradache Ello' lies in the Manu-Priya pair. I don't think anyone can portray Rakshith Shetty or Rukmini Vasant on screen as effectively as they did. I felt the emotions they conveyed on screen; they made such a lovely pair. Throughout the film, I kept telling myself not to dwell on their separation. Their eyes were attractive and emotional at the same time, making us connect deeply with them. I can't get over their chemistry, and I don't want to forget this pair.
Regarding the music, Charan Raj intensified the scenes with his background music. He has a skill for heightening emotions to their peak. Just Loved it. One of my favourite songs from the film was 'Horata.' Rakshith Shetty & Rukmini Vasant performed superbly, and their chemistry,
especially through their eyes, was a treat to
watch. If I could ask the writer-director Hemant Rao one thing, it would be why this pair had to have such a sad ending. Why couldn't they return to a normal life? I know it's all fictional, but a part of me wishes for them to be together in the end. I really want them to be together, although it seems unlikely.
In the second half of the film, two scenes between Priya and her mother were particularly emotional, for me Rukimi vasanth's performances peaked here. The parallel scene in the climax, where they were parting ways but still shared the same pain,
was moving. Likewise there are so many more
scenes to tell about.
The movie left me with deep pain 💔. Love can bring immense pain, and enduring suffering for it is a form of love too. Film has too many metaphors, as we dig we get too many of them and their story and pain is just like deep of a sea. This film should touch many hearts.

Please don't watch "Sapta Sagaradache Ello: Side A" by looking at the reviews and box office collection, this is just a hype, and this is one of the worst films of 2023.
To begin with, the movie is so slow from the first scene itself, that the audience should contemplate regarding why did they even come to watch this Film. Until the climax, the movie remains slow like a turtle. Only in the Climax there is some engagement so that the audience will come to watch Side B or the Second Part of the Film. The plot revolves around Manu who is in love with Priya, and in order to buy a house near the beach to stay happily with his lover, Manu takes the car accident blame, which was done by the brother-in-law of his employer hence he lands up in jail. The employer tells Manu that he will bail him out, but then there is a twist in the tale as Manu's employer dies from heart-attack. The employer's wife does not keep up the promise, hence Manu has to remain in jail. The entire second half is about the desperation. It is such a drag, drag, and a drag. The 30 minutes script dragged into a 2 hour 27 minutes movie. Normally I just tell the theme of a Film while reviewing it, but this one is so slow and bad that I revealed the entire plot. There is nothing with regards to the Script, and the Screenplay. It is lifted from the Shawshank Redemption, Prison Break Series, and even from Shankar Nag's Films like Accident.
Hemant Rao has kept the same slow pace throughout the Film. I am currently 24 years, and I am watching movies from past 20 years, and for the first time in my movie watching experience, I reacted "finally the movie got over". The heroine played by Rukmini Vasanth is a newcomer, and she has done really well. I won't be surprised if she becomes a leading heroine in Kannada Cinema in another five years. She has a bright future ahead. Rakshit Shetty has comparatively improved his acting over the years. The seniors like Avinash and Sharath Lohitashwa were quite impressive. Overall, please skip this movie.
My Rating: 1/10
Verdict: Trash.

While discussing this film, it's crucial to acknowledge the remarkable creative talents of director Hemanth Rao, who has truly showcased his prowess in both screenplay and cinematography. His unique vision shines through, making the movie a visual and narrative treat.
Moreover, it's worth noting the endearing and skillful portrayal of the heroine Rukmini, whose cute and justified acting adds charm to the story.
However, it's important to temper the overwhelming hype surrounding the film. While it excels in technical aspects, it doesn't quite deserve the excessive praise it's been receiving. The drawn-out story and pacing concerns detract from the overall experience.
This hyperbolic acclaim can inadvertently overshadow other deserving films, discouraging the industry from taking creative risks and exploring unique stories. It's a reminder that while the movie has its strengths, it's not the unparalleled masterpiece it's made out to be, and it's crucial to appreciate and support a diverse range of narratives in cinema.

Pure Classiness is back. Classiness is all around this movie from movie making , cinematography , BGM, Story telling , everything about this movie is picture perfect... Moment the movie starts , it connects to the heart and the story refuses to disconnect even after 150mins... Best of acting , best of direction, best of music BGM and the numbers, best of cinematography, more than that the feel. The feel which touches and last long.
RukmiNi done a fabulous acting beats Rakshit emotions. Hemanth is turning to be a legendary director after GBSM and Kavludaari. The part B glimpse make us applaud at the end. Eager to wait part B and for chaitra achar.
Cinematography, Camera, music and colour pallette must be feel in theaters.
Happy to see the diversified stories in sandalwood
Kudos team... 👍

Another gem of a Kannada movie.. thoroughly enjoyed the plot, script, acting and music. Keeping it real when it comes to cinema making was something we had to look out in other languages and I am happy that it is not the case anymore. Each character (other than the main male character) is nurtured and grown well and it does bring out the issues in our society. Looking fwd for Side B release in October. The chemistry of the couple on screen was intense and the heroine is brilliant and outstanding in her performance. They could have given a little background on Rakshit's character. Rest of the cast have done their bit. Overall, a very good movie to watch.

This is real cinema. Beautiful poetry on screen. Hemanth rao once again proved himself as a good filmmaker. His story and direction pulls you inside that romantic and yet conflicting world. Rukmini Vasanth has done a brilliant job, if you go to theatres for Rakshith shetty or anything else but after watching the film you just love Rukmini Vasnth. In th climax the way hero's violence scene is linked with heroine's wedding is amazing, thise cuts and edits brilliant. Please watch this in theatres and support because Side B ( part 2 ) will release within 2 months. I was really waiting for such a real cinematic experience from Kannada and Saptha Sagaradaache ello filled my thirst. Don't miss this in theatre.

Pure cinematic brilliance.. SSA is a poignant, immersive love story with its beautiful screenplay, acting and camera work is an absolute treat to the eyes. The whirlwind of emotions between 2 people in love is brilliantly woven into the simple storyline. The rigmarole Court procedures, Jail scenes etc provide backdrops that compliment the slow paced story. With such good movies the Kannada film industry is taking strides that can leapfrog it to its golden olden era.
I have to appreciate Rukmini Vasanth for her acting skills. She is such a natural.. Hope Kannada film industry retains such good talents and gives them good roles that showcases their performance. Just making the same old Machu, Long, Macho-ism movies will not get audiences attention.
Eagerly awaiting part 2 on Oct 20.

Amazing work by all department
Though movie feels laggy but doesn't affect much because of emotions, camera work and background score.
Every scene you keeps you interested waiting for twists but director has planned something else.
Don't expect anything based on trailer/ teaser.
Songs would rate ok ok
Screen play, direction and acting is all wholesome package for moview lovers.
Love connection between lead charcters is something makes you feel about it.
Overall technically well executed movie
Waiting for side B.
GIVE IT A TRY.
Note : this movie is only for people who likes to watch emotional romantic movies not comedy or mass content.

Very rarely we come across a movie that could resemble our personal life story and it depicts emotions that You have carried in the early stages and I can guarantee you will have wet eyes when you step out. Saptasagara aache yello has been weaved through strong bond of love, emotions and the true meaning of love. By far the best movie in the recent times and yet again Hemant Rao has proved that he is a great story teller whilst Rakshit and Vasundara Rao have just shown you don't need dialogues to act, just expressions. Music is outstanding, cinematography is fabulous, direction is splendid and heart tickling acting. 10 stars for the crew. Watched here in London.
