Upon discovering this film and reading it's description I was very excited at the prospects of a brand new hunter horror movie. I couldn't wait to hit play! A minute in and I found myself turning it off. I am not sure about this new Hollywood that's all wrapped around women victimization. The movie opens with her in a meeting with a superior who openly explains to her that she needs wear less to do herself a favor in getting noticed. The next shot is an upskirt of the receptionist. Then on the way home on a bus a man just walks up to her and gropes her. WTF!!!!! Sorry but these things are not normal and if they were the guy on the bus would be arrested immediately and they did state her superior would be fired so there's that. In just the first minute I lost all respect for the show writers, the directors and Amazon. Why is this what opens this movie? What statement are you trying to make and who are you making it to? These scenes don't destroy my sense of disbelief they encourage my sense of disbelief. I am still not sure how they get good male actors to read these scripts and see how they make males look and then decide they will put their face to this message of all men are sexist perpetrators. I was very excited at seeing that a number of my favorite actors were in this. If I had been offered this script I would have turned this project down to not have my name and image being attributed to creatives that years from now will be looked down upon as some type of over correction brought upon by the feminist movement. Depending on your politics you may like this new age male bashing stuff. I myself am already tired of it to the point that I am learning French so I can watch foreign films.

I certainly have never seen a movie where "Tampons' are repeatedly referenced, discussed, shown, or featured as much as this movie does. I guess because this is some sort of blind date 'Vampire' movie that the blood reference is important, but what a weird way to talk about it. Haha, they had Averserala from the Expanse show in the movie at the end. Probably the only thing interesting about this movie. Just not a really good movie. Plenty of uninteresting filler thats not very fun. 3/10 And IMDB has now made it so a review has to have 600 characters before it can be entered. I really don't expect that to last very long because people are sure to complain about it. But until that happens I guess we have to expect reviews to be long winded and sometimes about absolutely nothing to do with the show in question.

I wear my suspension of disbelief spectacles going into every movie. But this steamer was physically painful to watch. Next to no character development, a mishmash of genres and a comical amount of menstrual blood. The first half was promising and then the writer/directors mescaline must have kicked in. If you like watching a woman search for a tampon while hiding from a vampire/demon/god/something-or-other that can kill everyone but the one hes after, fire up that microwave popcorn. But don't say you haven't been warned. Also, 4.5 rating on Amazon shows how flawed that rating system is. I'd rather have watched static while getting a root canal.

I loved this movie. Really impressive. Very tense and fast moving. So many little details that are perfect. Please note the bad reviews and the agenda of the men posting them. This movie receives poor reviews from fragile men that like to abuse women. Women can use it to determine if a man is a big red flag. It's amazing because it succeeds in everything it wants to do: be a horror & suspense film with a terrific protagonist & antagonist that keeps the viewer on the edge of their seat while also commenting on the rampant misogyny embedded in the US. One reviewer commented on the "3rd wall" lol. They are trying to say there are some instances of breaking the 4th wall: a character communicates minimally with the viewer which works very well.

Firstly let's remember this is a horror and not looking to win best picture at the award ceremonies. It's started well, it moves along well and it ends well. Ella Balinska does a great job as the lead. She's gorgeous, sexy and tough. She was excellent the Resident Evil Reboot. She's a super lead. Pilou Asbaek is excellent as the baddie and your really routing for Ella to kick his arse. I've seen lots of comments about plot holes. Seriously? Have you watched many horror movies . This is one of the better modern horrors I've seen. Ella Balinska is one to watch. I've recently seen her in Charlie's Angels and Junction 9 and knew she was going to get better with every project . Put this one on your Halloween watch list. You won't regret it !

So the reason why I watched the film was because the actor Cherie looked pretty familiar. I actually thought she was the actress from another movie called "sweetheart" that I enjoyed. However she looked familiar because she starred in Netflix Resident Evil show which turned out to be terrible as well. This movie left me with questions so I wrote down my commentary as it was playing. So she really couldnt flush it down the toilet She went skating which is risky on ur period when the only protect is the paper tusc. Would b scared n excuse myself or just b honest 1. Why didn't she just flush the tissue down the tiolet? She put it in her purse like its a big secret and men dont know or understand periods 2. Why was it necessary to put the word RUN on the screen when she was about to. It look silly and annoying. 3. TheMovie doesn't show any of the action, killing or when he transforms 4. When she took the girls phone from her bag is unrealistic because most phones have password. 5. She survives all encounters and come out alive while people who come into contact with her die. For example the random dog that came out of no where and saved her 5. She made a statement saying " theres no way im going back out there " . Did She forgot she have a daughter" who Ethan literally said he would raise as his own. 6. She was dress up like the karate kid and hardly did any besides head butting him.and throwing some rocks to break the screen light. 7. She was bleeding all over but she just threw her tampon in the highway and that was stronger then the smell coming from the other wounds. This movie was disappointing but i watch to see how it would eat. Please do yourself a favor and skip it.

I read the negative reviews and should have listened- they're true. I'm a woman who is tired of watching these overexaggerated depictions of female victimhood. Why can't I just get an entertaining movie that isn't shoving a message down my throat while beating me over the head with it? I was the only female child in a large family of males, I've traveled the world alone, and I pretty much can do anything and everything I want, without being harassed 24/7 by a man. So I guess this message doesn't work on me. I've been sexuality harassed at work and now I don't work there. I've been groped in public and smacked a few for it. I'm not denying it exists, but I think we've mostly acknowledged it as a society. Okay, so where's the solution? I don't need to keep pulling off scabs to prove a point. This movie is one big bloody scab and serves no real purpose. Besides ridiculous plot holes (who the hell puts used bloody tissue back in their purse?! Blech- flush the damn thing) and a long drawn out cat and mouse game that doesn't make much sense, the style and direction were a mish-mash. The oldies music, roller rink scene, breaking the 4th wall, etc. Ended up competing with each other, resulting in no winners. The lead actress was pretty solid, but I grew tired of the "I need a tampon" speech real quick when she had a huge gaping wound on her head with no bandage 95% of the time. The ghoul flees when a dog is around, so why not spend the night in a kennel? Done. But wait! We first have to find the underground lady boot camp where spas and karate collide, so we can dress up like Ralph Macchio to destroy an all powerful entity that has survived longer than humans. Ok. I guess sunlight and fire is all they needed, though. Too bad the First Lady never thought to just burn the guy's house down during the daytime these last millenia. So the takeaway is that men are pigs and women will always be victims, until we put on our kimono to kick ass? Pfffft.

Law student Cherie (Ella Balinska) lands herself a job at a prestigious firm. When she books a business meeting for her boss at the same time as his anniversary dinner with his wife, Cherie steps in and meets the client - suave millionaire Ethan Sacks (Pilou Asbæk). The pair hit it off, and the evening turns into a date, but when Ethan invites Cherie into his house for a nightcap, he attacks her. Cherie runs for her life, relentlessly pursued by Ethan... I was fully on board with this film while it was a simple fight for survival against a seemingly unstoppable maniac, even when it became apparent that Ethan was more than just an ordinary man. Balinska's terror was more than credible and the cat-and-mouse action was handled reasonably enough by director Shana Feste. But then they had to turn the film into a piece of feminist claptrap claiming that all evil on the Earth is caused by men (the male sex personified by Ethan, presumably the devil himself), who have conspired for millennia to keep women subservient by any means necessary. I'm all for a spot of female empowerment, but this is pure sexist garbage. I knew the film was going off the rails with the introduction of a group of irritating girl-power ravers (who thankfully don't stay alive for too long) and a female dog that conveniently turns up to scare off the bad guy (who, for some reason, is afraid of mutts), but it keeps on getting worse and worse, leading to a preposterous finalé in which Cherie defeats the devil, helped by a secret society of women dressed in karate outfits. Having kicked male butt, Cherie returns home to her infant daughter, seemingly oblivious to the fact that she has a gaping hole in the middle of each hand that would require urgent medical attention. 3.5/10, rounded down to 3 for the fact that Cherie somehow managed to use a stranger's iPhone without the need for a passcode.
