I have read the books and this film follows book 1 closely. It was so similar to how I imagined it when I read the book, so well done there! I recommend seeing it, but keep in mind that not everything is tied up in the end. This might have worked better as a TV series. It sort of felt like episode 1, and I imagine it would be a bit annoying to watch this and not know what happens next already. That said, the scenery is beautiful, the actors are believable and good - nice to see actual teenagers play roles their age! If you liked Young Royals or Skam, this a movie for you. I really hope they continue this and make movies of the next books, too.

This is a boilerplate Cinderella story that is somewhat enjoyable but marred with myriad f-bombs. It's a Norwegian production so that's interesting and scenic views of Norway are pleasing. What is a bit odd, besides the foul language even among royalty is there imbedded sexual values. It becomes clear that teen sex is expected and as about as common as going to the movies. That's more that a bit upsetting but more so is the typical Hollywood single blasphemy early in the movie. So, atheism seems to be the expectation in that country and their film industry takes cues from the dark side in the USA.

Too much at once. They just skipt everything important, like where did all this come from. It was like the writer really wanted every teen romance movies in one movie. I would have been better if it was a series and not a 2 hour film.

I am a huge fan of the Norwegian series Skam, so you might understand why I would be willing to give a Norwegian teen drama a try. The title and description had me thinking it was a light weight romantic comedy ala The Prince and Me...but it wasn't. New girl Elena shows up at school newly moved to Oslo where she catches the attention of the Crown Prince Kalle. When Kalle's twin sister figures out that Elena is hiding some dark secrets, she uses them to threaten her away from her brother Kalle. This is not a romantic comedy and deals with some more serious topics than most teen films: gossip, social media, teen pregnancy, mental health issues, blackmail, lies, secrets, virginity, responsibility, influencing, etc. My one major complaint is about the ending. The film felt really unfinished...without Kalle and Elena having a real conversation and his sister passed out on the floor?!?! Really unfinished. At first I had difficulty warming up to the actor playing Kalle, but Mathias Storhoi really won me over.

I was honestly surprised because I was expecting it to be very cliché and turns out it was actually quite deep. However I can't understand what the hell happened with the end, I seriously wondered if they actually forgot to add some scenes because it doesn't make any sense to me. For example, what the hell is up with Ingrid? There are so many shots focusing on her looking jealous or suspicious so the obvious explanation for me is that she's the one who posted the picture of the prince and not Tess but why is the issue not resolved? Why does the Prince just take Lena back because she apologised for lying about her child when all the problems between them had almost nothing to do about it? Same for the princess at the end, I figured Ingrid might have put something in her drink to record her/take a picture and post it like she might have done with the prince but why is there so much for the viewer to figure out by himself? I do think having to figure out things that are untold makes a good movie in most cases but this was just extremely badly executed. The only reasonable explanation is that they're going to make a second movie but even if it is the case, it is still weird to end a movie that way.

At first I was like "let's kill my time with an easygoing cliché teen movie", but actually it turned out to be a remarkable teen movie! Bravo! I really enjoyed it! I would like to see it to last more, because at some scenes was too fast the plot!

This movie have so many plot holes and unanswered questions. I expected nothing since foreign movies aren't that great with their horrible acting and got nothing in return. We didn't get much of the girls background beside her boning her friends boyfriend because the friend cheated on him and the MC had a kid with him. Is the Queen gonna be okay? The MC said horrible things about the Prince but didn't even apologize but he takes her back just because she's sorry about being ashamed she has a kid? What's wrong with Princess at end? Talk about rushing an ending. Who posted that picture of the Prince with those girls since Tess said she didn't do it? I give 2 stars, the best thing about this movie was the baby and how cute he was other then that this movie boring, cringy and bland I want my time I wasted back.

This would have been really good as a TV show, but as a movie it ended in such a wierd way, way to soon. The way it built up, and the way it ended was just like an episode 1 of a TV show.

Emotionally intelligent, with depth - enjoyable too. Not your usual teen drama, much more nuanced and mature. Some parts a bit cliché, but overall excellent.
