This film was very nice to watch especially with kids. It has humor, sadness, and life lessons in it. Finally, a nice movie without horrible language, violence, and other things going on in the world today being forced on you. It also demonstrates that God doesn't always answer prayers the way you we may want them answered. Bravo to the writers, director, and cast. Thank you for finally making something decent to watch.

It's basically a recruitment film for Christianity.... lots of talk of praying etc. On top of that it's a poor script, terrible acting and stereotypes galore. And the golfing scenes that should be the centre of attention are terrible, not a half decent swing in sight. Just stay away and spend those 90 minutes on basically anything else and I guarantee it's better spent time.

I watched for about 35 minutes and had to turn off. Their should be warnings on movies that try to indoctrinate you into any faith - and this one does.
Plus, too many of the characters are caricatures. Stale, hackneyed, shallow.
Damn, I can't believe someone paid to have this movie made

I genuinely started to enjoy this film until the female track athlete clumsily shoehorned in the FCA. Then it was always overshadowed and ruined by the faith based overtones. It could have been a genuinely good film, but ended up being thoroughly up it's own backside. Please remake this with a bigger budget and remove completely the Christian overtones. A good Chrstsian film doesn't even need to mention Christianity, it's implication is far more powerful than actually mentioning it. (think Steve Taylor....). All Christian faith based films are like this. They genuinely turn people away from Christianity. Learn fro this.

This faith-based film can be uplifting with some humor mixed in amidst tragedy. But it is filled with stilted dialogue, platitudes, and a very formulaic and predictable storyline.
So if you like faith-based films--enjoy. But it's not my cup of tea.

The whole film is undermined by the casting of Actors who have never played golf before playing college level/ professional golf... that is before the predictable storyline; other than this its quite an easy watch as you are never drawn in enough to really care

Some really wooden acting unfortunately makes this movie difficult to watch. All the characters are typical white middle American with a token black guy, the coach. Every line has been heard in another movie. The storyline is one we've all heard before - parent is dying, I have to win this event for him / her. Child prodigy overcomes guilt, wins tournament (is that really a spoiler?) and everyone can get on with their lives.
They do a lot of praying which unsurprisingly has no effect. They keep mentioning this guy called God but he's not in the credits.
It's the sort of film you'd play in an old folks home during a coffee morning because if you missed a bit it doesn't matter and there's no plot that needs explaining anyway.
