Contains plot spoilers The first thing to say is I saw the trailer for this and thought that it looked pretty good in a low budget way. So I rented it and I am glad that I rented this rather than buying it. Also one of the problems with the trailer is that it sells it as a movie where the robots go mad or gain sentience and fight back against their human slave masters. Though as the movie progresses you will understand that this view is misguided as the real resolution of the movie is so mundane.
The movie starts as a documentary type of a movie and my first thoughts were oh no this is going to suck. This movie really wants to be district 9. The only things that it lacks are plot, acting, effects and a good budget. It is similar to District 9 in the way it starts as a documentary and then moves to narrative movie in the final third of the movie. There the similarities end as this is a poor excuse for a SF movie.
The movie starts with an interview with the creator of the robots. This sets the scene. We have already seen the mayhem in the trailer so I wanted them to get on with the story. Actually this is the best bit of the movie so enjoy it while it lasts. Then it switches to an atrociously animated robot playing football. That it when you know that this movie is going to be one of those turds you see on the syfy channel masquerading as a good SF movie. The robot goes mad and shoots one of the other players. This for me was the ultimate in bone head screen writing. Why would you give a robot that works in an oil refinery or plays football with kids a gun in its hand? It makes no sense whatsoever. The robots then go on the rampage and the TV reporters who are making a live broadcast film it all for the titillation of the viewers. We get treated to a half hour space filler about the robot shooting someone. This is handled so badly that if I had not been watching it with someone else I would have turned it off. So the robos go on the rampage (snore). Then it turns into a bad SF movie where they have to escape from the robos (yawn) until we the viewer are finally treated to a blank screen as we do not know if the heroes are going to escape.
Big plot spoiler.
The robots do not gain sentience they are just programmed to kill as the person who made them is jealous as he has not got any credit for their use. That is all they could come up with? Wow that stinks as the twist.
I think the makers thought that they could mix westworld with district 9 and come up with a good movie. They thought wrong. The acting is below par. The effects are laughable. The script is slow and boring. As with other reviewers I would advise you not to watch this rubbish.

"contains spoilers"
The acting is the worst i have ever seen, Zoe Naylor is by far the worst, she needs to give up acting all together!!!. She shows no emotion when the guy on the football field gets shot. Also the footballers are terrible actors they just walk away, surely you would go see if he's alive, right?
The script is terrible, when the footballer gets shot, Zoe's character stands there and says stuff like "someone has just been shot". I was watching it thinking THANK YOU CAPTAIN OBVIOUS -.-
The scenery in this movie is great, i really enjoyed it. The robots are OK, they could have added a bit more animation to them though. The explosion effects are OK
This film is very boring at the beginning but about 35 minutes through it starts to pick up. Still i would not recommend the movie.

I looked at this film in the same breath. Not to say of course that draws on Oscar IMHO painful story here is simple. But wanted to note that the director's job is not so bad and nothing like setting, not too primitive. Given the idea, then the film is good, especially liked his unusual. Peculiar idea spicing notes film. I do not want to judge strictly film, the camera work is also nothing, there are many gaps, and if a severe critic would say what they were everywhere, then agree. But I'd add that in addition to shortcomings, and I saw a lot of positives. And especially liked the fact that the linearity of the plot is not interrupted by any stupidity or "tyagomyatinoy" off topic. I mean, there is an idea, the idea and the plot, and the creators in one way or another, managed to bring it in order to convey the message of the film. A more in this genre and is not necessary, you could spend a lot of money and resources, and the product could get a lot worse.
The main disadvantages of the film - it is a small budget, and not a rich scenario of course is to great effect on the final result ... But in general, the film turned out good. It is a pity he was sentenced too harshly, but my opinion: the direction of such works have the potential in the future.
I'm Russin and Sorry, if that ... I translated his thought through "your" Google, and he is very stupid translates from Russian into English and so sorry. But I would like to convey my words exactly, a lot of things to talk about the film ...

I'm actually watching this movie as I type this review. I've watched tons of bad movies, its actually something that I like to do. This movie is absolutely terrible. The best thing about this movie is... gimme a second... well the part where... nope. Okay, there are no good parts to this movie. Terrible writing, terrible directing and terrible acting. I've used IMDb for at least a decade and I've never written a review, but this movie was so awful I felt like it was my duty as a human being to keep others from wasting time. Transparent plot points, disconnected acting, and amateurish CGI and S/FX.
When the first murder occurs at a friendly soccer game, the friends of the slain player (best acting in the movie), stood around not even responding to what had just occurred. Then they all kinda walked of camera as if someone motioned them off. No one stopped to check on the victim. Then the reporter was basically like... "Oh someone just got shot, oh no, we should walk over to the killer robot and investigate, yep he is dead... bye robot.. we'll stand here and watch you walk off." Then the soccer players meander back in ... like "Oh no the robots killed my friend. We are angry, rarrrrrrrr".
I could go on... but I actually think this movie made me physically sick... and if that is truly the case, this physical sickness would actually be better than the movie.

I found this movie is not as bad as the reviews and ratings claim it is.
Again, everything depends on your movie tastes and preferences.
But if you like movies such as "District 9". "metal tornado". or some other type of space channel or Sci-Fi channel movies, oh, and also cannot forget these "found footage" genres, then you might be able to get along fine with this movie.
but if your expecting a "star trek" type movie, or some popular science fiction movie, then you may be disappointed. This just goes to show you Cannot always go by the user ratings or reviews that's for sure.

I'm very much in to science fiction movies but this movie is dreadful. I started out thinking that the special effects and robots were very neatly done but I got extremely turned off by the awful acting. This movie had a lot of potential but it never really got pulled off.
In this movie the robots were more capable of showing emotions than the humans were, and I very much doubt that people in the distant future will lose their ability to think logically and to express their emotions. I mean who in their right mindset would not be fearful or want to flee when they see someone getting shot dead? What's the point? Are they trying to tell us that people will get more stupid in the future? As a huge fan of Farscape I was expecting more from actor Lani John Tupu, but this movie did not reflect his best sides in my opinion. I really liked him in Farscape.
My advice to others is to not watch this movie unless you have nothing else to do, maybe not even then.

You'll love this one. Yes, it's a fun low budget film, and believe me it's not like the low budget films that come out of SyFy channel.
The special effects were really pretty good, the acting was a bit cheesy, but I think that was intentional.
I came into this with very low expectations (and that's the way you really need to see this), and was impressed with the movie overall.
Zoe Naylor gives a great performance (and yes a little cheesy) as Christiane Nouvaue. She's actually believable as a fluff reporter thrown into a world shattering story. The actors playing the other reporters, well I have to say they were stereotypical in modern movies... but then, that's part of the appeal. Though in this one, I really didn't want anyone to die... okay, maybe I did want to see Edward Foy's character Jason Brooks obnoxiousness gone...
AS I've stated, if you love "B" movies, that are good (and intentionally good), give this one a try.

I enjoyed this, and as a sci-fi fan, you probably will too. It's a pretty good story of a (not too distant) future society where robots are introduced into daily life, and then things go wrong. Not original, but interesting enough. After reading some of the other reviews I just want to defend the acting in this movie, there will be no Oscar nominees here, but it's adequate. I think lead actress Zoe Naylor did a good job of depicting the somewhat heartless sideline stance of modern journalism. The critics who say she shows no emotion should notice this is only true when she is 'on camera' in her reporter role. The big stinker however is the guy who plays her producer, Edward Foy. By far the worst acting job I've come across in 2012! Some things in the movie didn't make much sense (like where does the flashlight come from in the tunnel scene?), others could have done with a little more explaining (the how and why of the sabotage by one of the robot developers) and the ending is kind of sudden. Also, the intro scene doesn't fit in the storyline, as we (at least the careful listeners) are made to believe all the robots get shut down when the screen goes black at the end. All in all, it was still a good waste of time.

Honestly... watching this film was a bad idea.
Bad writing.
A soccer player and a robot get into a fight. Why are all the people on the field not even paying attention to it? Then the robot kills him and they all leave. Why is the news crew just chilling like he won't do anything else? The robot just walks away and the news crew is minimally cautious as he does so. Why are they even approaching the killbot? Then the players come back and chant nobots nobots! Why has no one called for help or even checked on their buddy? The movie just goes downhill...
Do not waste your time, unless you find humor in watching terrible movies. Watch a real robot movie - iRobot or Terminator.
