I don't know what made me watch this movie today, it popped up on a streaming service and I've always been intrigued by Australia, so I thought I'd give it a chance. The road trip takes the two passengers over some beautiful locations. I found myself pausing the movie to look up some of the areas they visited on Google Maps. I really felt like I was along for the ride with Alex and Ronnie, and found the parts well-acted and relatable. For those who don't like slow moving films this may not be the film for you. Personally, I loved this film, it stirred all sorts of memories and emotions for me. If I were magically allowed to live out any movie character IRL I might choose Alex. I envied his journey and his developing friendship with Ronnie. Enjoyable film from Chad Peter. Rachel, Tommy and Hannah were superb throughout.

I was waiting to watch this movie from 10 days after downloading , took a time to watch yesterday night, peacefully, but never , in any scene it ddnt got my attention.. any movie if you wanted to connect there should be atlast some emotion.. by badluck this movie never connects with any emotion.. there is no conflicts, no emotion, no strong acting, no magical moments... only boring boring boring scenes all over the movie.. they had a good script in hand, but filled up with completely non interested scenes... apart from these negatives there are some positives like good bgm and some of the songs... dont expect anything than that.

Many people have said this film is boring and too slow paced. I disagree. To me it felt the natural pace of travelling by car across Australia. Long periods of empty vast land bookended by quick stops at quirky and colourful country towns. It's well shot and the acting is believable. There is chemistry between the two main characters and that lingering distance of two people getting to know one another at a deep level while also being aware of the lie Kelly expiration date of their romance. This film reminded me of my time vagabonding abroad In Europe. The film is very poignant and reminds us of the importance of time out to recharge and recover.

Road to Perth is a beautifully simple story that invited you on an journey of sorts. To be be fair, I didn't think that I would enjoy this nearly as much when I decided to watch it but, much like the characters in the movie, I slowly warmed to it and to them. I felt as though I was a passenger along for the ride as they navigated through the beautiful Australian landscape while also navigating & unpacking their current life circumstances. The art house cinematography was perfect & fitted in nicely with the overall feel, pace & texture of the film, and I found myself thinking over the story & characters long after the final credits rolled. Worth a watch on rainy afternoon in your Pjs with a warm cup of tea.
