This is a real classic Ninja movie with lots of weapons and real Ninja art. Okay it sometimes get a bit too much but it is still one of my favorite Ninja Films. If you like Ninja movies I think you got to see this one. The movie is about a Ninja who decides to move away from the ninja clan wars in Japan and live peacefully with his son in USA. As you might expect it doesn't go that easy to get peace. And while fighting and struggling with all his senses and abilities we get to see a lot of action. You will see all day living combined with training of a Ninja and the fighting with the bad guys. The bad guys is everything from common crocks to real villains with lots of abilities (Ninjas) The Weapons and hidden secret of the Ninja way is terrific and will give lots of joy when looking at this movie

On the "So bad it's good" scale, this movie is off the charts. My friend brought his copy of this movie (yes, HIS copy) to our recent get-together. Every ninja-movie cliché is to be found here, from the climbing claws being used to scale a 50 story building, to the smoke bombs, to catching arrows with the teeth. The "bad guys" are out of sight, and the acting is so deadpan that I hope these guys are still getting royalties from this incomparably entertaining master-piece. The final battle is a great payoff, long and unbelievable with the androids and what not. Anyway, from the opening scene, this movie delivers nonstop b-movie action that few can equal. When the "indian" jumps off the roof and smashes the wooden crate over Sho's head, I almost soiled myself. See this movie at all costs.

One of the most unintentionally hilarious-yet-entertaining movies to come out of the 80's (unlike Ninja 3: the Domination). Sho Kosugi indulges his passion for martial arts and making his family the centerpiece of his own movies. The only thing that redeems this movie is some truly spectacular martial arts/ninjitsu sequences. Say what you will about Kosugi - he could choreograph a fight sequence like nobody else this side of Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. Now, if we could just lose the cute Kosugi kid...

Revenge of the Ninja (1983) was the second film in the "Ninja" series. This time Sho Kosugi is the good guy (ya!) and the Caucasians are the evil villains (Ya-ya!) Sho tangles with the mob over the usual scheme (drugs what else). The mob don't take too kindly to Japanese people but they picked the wrong guy to tangle with. Sho goes into action when his family's endangered. Using his skills in the ways of a ninja, Sho grabs his sword and stars and lays waste to the local mafia.
A better film than the first one. Although Sho Kosugi acts with all the emotion of a wooden Indian, he's one bad dude and is very credible as a hero. A fun action film filled with enough cheese and sleaze to entertaining fans of this genre. Followed by the weird and strange Ninja III: The Domination starring a very hot Lucinda Dickey!!
Recommended for Sho Kosugi fans and Cannon Film buffs. A film company that's sadly missed.

The best ninja-film ever made. A bit naive and weak on story, but the action scenes in this movie i one of the best ever made. Sho Kosugi & Virgil Frye has a reel talent in martial arts (but where are they now). A must for ninja-fans. I can't understand why this movie is banned in my country.
