I didn't know this existed.I was so excited. The 3rd one was a mistake and a weird mess.....let's hope they return to the brilliance of Rec!! I'm a zombie geek.....a massive fan and I know we all argue about shamblers and the rabids but either way, they make a good film. I love Rec....LOVE IT! Possibly my favourite Zombie film ever and I won't apologise to the traditionalists yet.....they've ruined it. What started off as a brilliant found footage on firefighters and ended in a bloodbath of zombie horror ended in a weeping, horrible, accidental copy of the doomed Resident Evil franchise. I really hoped this would redeem the strange event of Rec 3, and it tried, but the reference to it throughout just reminded me of the mistake. Look.....I adore Rec 1 and 2.....but sometimes, like the dead, just shoot it in the head.

If you watch it without the expectations that come from the 2 first installments in this series, you are in for a treat! Very entertaining zombie movie that doesn't reinvent the wheel, but spins it well enough. Plot-wise, it offers a satisfying conclusion to the series while tying all of it together. The tense, claustrophobic atmosphere is there, although the scares - and consequently, the horror - have been reduced. Personally, I appreciate that the found-footage format has been dropped, it did nothing for me except make me nauseated and confused at the action scenes. Acting, effects, make-up and CGI were pretty much spotless. Overall, as someone who has watched almost all zombie movies, ranging from excellent to dumpster fire, I can tell you right now this does. Not. Deserve. The bad ratings.

The worst of the series... by far. Terrible acting and lots of yelling.

This isn't as terrible as the third installment and it was an enjoyable watch. The first two films are the best though, some people don't like the whole demon possession idea but zombie demons is a pretty cool concept -it was just portrayed sooo badly in REC 3. The acting was good as were the effects, the storyline isn't a disaster. This one's okay..it didn't amaze me like REC and REC 2 did but it didn't disappoint me like REC 3 did.

Rec 4 is the last film of the Rec franchise and stars Manuela Velasco, Paco Manzanedo and Ismael Fritschi. I liked this movie and I think it's a good last part to the series. The acting is OK but I don't think anyone realy stands out much besides maybe the scientis villain played by Héctor Colomé, I like the setting and I think the story is interesting enough and sometimes it's pretty suspenseful even though it's not very scary. My big problem with the film is the fact that it doesn't look very good visually wich I think it's needless since this is no longer found footage, there are also some moments that have so many cuts and weak lighting that I can't tell what's going on. Overall it's a good final chapter to a series I love and it's also very entertaining in fact despite the fact that it is not as good as Rec 2 I would actually say it's more entertaining then it. 6.3/10

This "REC" film was pretty much what I expected after only seeing "REC 3". I haven't seen the first two "RECs" yet but I know they were more of the lost footage type and this one and the previous one steered away from that format. This film did have it's little twists that kept it kind of interesting but not enough to make it a film that I would say is an excellent one. This film takes place on an oil tanker in the middle of the ocean. Now it takes movie writing skills to make a film like this one take place in a confined area. I'm not saying that this film was bad I'm just saying that there could have been more. If you're some what of a fan of the "REC" franchise it's safe to watch this one. It might not be as good as the ones before it but for a finale you won't be disappointed.

The 4th part of the REC frenchaise. Like all serials this one has the same problems: The spectator know about the virus. They have seen the monsters in action.....so what can you do to improve it? More action! This one comes with even more shouting and brainless rumbling. To make all of this possible....the plot lacks logic. A virus that can erase the whole country...and what does the government do? They put a (very few) scientist on an old freighter with a few security men. All in all the action is predictable. There is Zero (O) horror. The weakest part of REC.

Considering the usual cheap ending, I wouldn't be surprised if the fifth part happens, but to the fans of series this will be very satisfying conclusion for the time being. First thing I have to say, there is no found footage point of view, which is movie's first flaw. Second flaw is a lot of really bad camerawork which is really noticeable during the fight scenes. Third flaw is lack of any kind of creepy and horror atmosphere. Pair it with the ending and fourth part of the series is by quality very close to the third part. It is, however, saved by the return of Manuela Velasco which get's rid of the parasite and is again the main character and cute as ever. All in all, to the fans of the series movie will be a nice piece of fun, but the rest (if there is any, considering this is the fourth part of the series) should avoid it. Just don't expect to be scared or to experience the great atmosphere of the first two parts. There's none of that here. 6.5/10!

It does not come close to the success of the first and second films (I prefer to forget the third), does not appear to be from the same film franchise, but I thought it was going to be worse by the critics, it was a generic ending. A pity, as it had a series of ideas that could be raised and left open but nothing was taken advantage of. Worth a note 5. It is worth remembering that if this film franchise had started in Hollywood and by the hands of a James wan, it would explode of success, generating many spin-offs.
