This is the best remake I have ever seen! I personally hate remakes of movies but ever since Full Moon broke away from Paramount back in the mid 90's every sequel after part 5 was total garbage in my opinion! The special effects, the acting, and production value went down hill and the Sci-fi Channel movie Puppet Master vs Demonic Toys got my hopes up, it had better actors and a bigger budget but still that film let me down as well, it was crap! I used to wish that someone in Hollywood could buy the rights to the franchise and give me a Puppet Master film worth watching and now I am excited to say that my dream came true thanks to Cinestate's remake!! The production value is top notch! The actors were great! The 100% practical special effects used are through the roof!! They are way better than the first 5's stop motion and all the other crappy sequels rod puppet effects! The story twist was great, love the fact that the Puppet Master was a demented evil Nazi and that his puppets were just as evil!! This movie pushes a boundary of our current Political Correctness and it will certainly offend the nowadays butt hurt cry babies due to the puppets acting out hate crimes, but that's what the Nazis were all about! I love the redesigns of the original puppets and the new ones were awesome!! The Littliest Reich offers up the most violent bloodshed ever made for a Puppet Master film and at certain times it had some good humor!! The reviews for the movie speak for themselves, one certain critic says it is the craziest God damn movie of 2018 and boy was he right!! I love this movie, my only complaint is it wasn't long enough, it left me wanting more and I sure hope we get sequels with one wish please, bring back 6 shooter with a new design!! Thank you Cinestate for making my dream come!!!!

Possibly the most violent movie I have ever seen. With some nudity, humor thrown in to boot. If you like shameful fun. Then this is the flick for you.

Bro this movie was hilarious I dont consider it if you're like a saw person like a serious horror movie with like mystery and suspense. Really if you dont take it serious you'll be laughing your arse off lmao. The death scenes were somehow so crazy I found them hilarious. Story was interesting I guess. But it was just so funny and crazy.

Thought it may be a fun slasher to pass the time away and relax, How wrong i was. It's embarrassing bad and not in a good way.

One thing to say - if you do the remake, do it. Don't add another chapter to existing one just to change whole plot. -spoiler- What was the point of making Toulon supporter of Nazis? Seriously.Even the past parts were keeping that in mind and Germans trying to achieve what Andre made with his puppets. And movie - just another slasher, some of the puppets are based on old ones, but the look poor.

I got to watch this recently and I was intrigued, but soon that intrigue turned to disappointment. I understand being a "reboot" of sorts that things change with the times. With that being said and being a fan of the original films (Mainly 1-5) I felt this was a thrown together hack fest. It was great to see some new puppets and different ways to dispatch their victims but, that was the whole movie! It was a puppet kill snuff film. No real plot, the most wooden characters. Granted the effects and how they brought the puppets to life were excellent. They could have used that then wrapped around a decent story. I dont like that they made Andre Toulon a Nazi agent nor do I care that the puppets are just mindless hatemongering killing machines. Part of the story of Puppet Master is the tragedy of Andre Toulons fight against the Nazis and how he and his Puppets are these violent anti-heroes. Furthermore by adding so many puppets and reproducing so many versions of blade etc. Theyve destroyed the individuality of what made each puppet special. They each were their own character in their own right as well. They aren't Gremlins. To me this was just a fail for the franchise. Seemed like a sfx sizzle reel and not much of a movie.

Needing some more income, a recently-divorced man decides to bring his relatives' antique dolls to a memorabilia exhibit only to realize the dolls in his possession are involved in decades-old murders and that evil forces will stop at nothing to get their hands on the deadly creatures. This was such an exciting and enjoyable effort in the franchise. Among the many entertaining aspects found here is the fact that this one adds such a dark and brutal addition to the series. From the very beginning, with the puppets being shown to be an active presence in some rather frenzied action, it gets this started on a rather brutal tone which is only enhanced by the rest of the actions shown here. The tour at the exhibit museum that recounts the history of the puppets and their master which adds a different legacy and history to the franchise than usually featured which all comes as a nice element here. That also goes to include the look and activities of the dolls themselves, which is incredibly worthwhile. The dolls are redesigned to look somewhat darker and more brutal than in the past but still retain quite familiar features so that we can tell who's who in here, an element that adds considerably to the serious tone of the film as a whole. Likewise, the viciousness of their attacks is also a standout as the gore here is incredibly well-done. From having their scalp ripped off their head to being sliced by the flying toy across the neck to be decapitated, having an infant ripped out of a pregnant woman's belly from the inside out and being repeatedly stabbed beyond recognition by the dolls in short, quick, brutal strikes, the rampages they carry out in the various attacks throughout the hotel which are done practically and manages to create such an impressive amount of crazy action during these attacks that it's fun to watch. Along with a fine series of battles in the darkened hotel for the finale and some fine nudity along the way, these manage to give this a lot of incredibly impressive elements over its flaws. About the only real issue here is the minor changes to be found in the storyline. Even though this is allowed to change the storyline around, the way it does so is rather disheartening by letting the nominal hero of the story become the new villain of the piece. There's little reason why that even occurs here since there's such a weak motivation to get him involved in the action once it gets going that it's even more pronounced with it's weaker rationale. That in turns also comes into play with the abrupt finale that purposefully sets up a sequel but seems like a cop-out on the stand-alone basis. Still, these are nowhere near that detrimental and don't hold this back all that much at all. Rated Unrated/R: Extreme Graphic Violence, Graphic Language and Nudity.

Pros: The puppets are evil again. The acting. The script. The special effects. The puppets are evil again. Cons: Lack of suspense, dread, tension. Overuse of comedy (some of the comedy was great!) The puppeteering was better than in most of the sequels but still not up to the standards of the first two films. Overall: A well-needed rebirth. The best direction the franchise has headed since the second movie. The new creative team has a lot of enthusiasm and talent. And it shows!

Being sold as the goriest film ever, I have to say, no. It's a Puppet Master film if you've never seen any of those it's hard to say you MUST see this one as you probably don't have to. But if you have seen them you'll see this as one of the better ones, it drops the annoying Gremlins sounds that, for me, pretty much ruined the first film, and for the most part the rest were all down hill in budget and quality with part 3 being probably the best of them. Like Part 3 in a way this deals with the Nazi backstory of the Puppets and even this time deals with the Holocaust and Nazi agenda the puppets are carrying on. There is humor but it's played straight which helps, the main humor being from several super gorey show stopping moments--though most of the gore is pretty routine--within the context of gore done in say the 1980's way--practical effects as they call it now. The downsides to this film is that is has virtually no visual style at all and is dingy looking, the actors all look old and haggard most of the time, and for some of the old actors in particular this does them no favors as it makes them look really old. The old horror name actors all do well, aside from looking kind of dreadful, but be warned UDO KIER has very little to do. Crampton is quite good. They story does stop for awhile when the movie turns into a series of gore scenes, but the story is frankly pretty good. The Puppets are seen rarely for much of the film, and often are used the way MUPPETS are--there is sadly no, from what I can tell, animated Puppets in the film---the brief stop-motion moments in the original films were all highlights and you'd hope a done real, not CGI, reboot would take the time to do some stop motion animation--but strangely they don't--which mostly keeps the puppets from doing much that is new, or even as good as, the best moments from the original series. Music score, by another Horror name, is too sparse as the film feels very flat for much of the first 30 minutes. But the film does build well and has a great post credit scene, so be sure to stay turned for that. It's a reboot in mostly a good way and certainly, though low budget in look, done better than original producer Charles Band is able to do these days. So a decent start for what hopes to be a new series of films by a also rebooted brand name Fangoria. This film is also better than the previous attempts at film production done under the Fango banner in the early 1990s.
