Many horror fans out there have seen the cable staple PSYCHO COP 2 and probably wondered about the existence of the relatively obscure original. Well I found it. It sucks! Three unbearable yuppie college couples travel to a big, secluded vacation house despite the usual tell tale signs that they should go home. A psychotic, Satan-worshipping policeman (Bobby Ray Shafer), who walks like a robot (and gives a performance to match) does most of them in. The annoying characters constantly talk to themselves, wander off into the woods alone, guzzle buckets full of beer and whine about the feeling of being watched ("It's probably just a deer!"). People are killed with a knife down the throat, hatchet and crucifixion. "It can't be!" screams the pot smoking caretaker before taking an axe to the head. The entire cast is terrible. Irritating!

This is appalling drivel that should never have been made. Every copy should be rounded up and destroyed to save people from the sheer tedium that this film will inflict on them. There is not a single second of the film that is genuinely entertaining. The physco cop himself is just plain dull and when he does catch people he kills them in a particularly quick and boring manner. The rest of the cast are all terrible 'actors' with less talent than a squashed sea urchin! The film must have some kind of record for pointless conversation as well so amazingly repetitious are its chat monologues. This film is dire. The basic story is of 6 pesky teens or twenties (who knows or cares?) who shack up in some isolated little house and are murdered by physco cop. Sadly its all so drawn out that you will be screaming at the TV pleading for it to end! Avoid this offal!!!!!!!!!!

This is the ultimate party movie, take a drink every time they mention the caretaker. Well don't actually or you will die. What great cheese this movie has, kids paranoid as hell and a satan worshipper/ stand-up comedian/ psycho cop. Watch for the 666 shot of the hand it will leave you in stitches. This movie has the stupidest teens ever and some of the worst 80's fashion. Want laughably bad horror and acting here ya go. Officer Joe Vickers you suck and yet your really cool! These kids also talk about beer along with the caretaker constantly and the beer looks like canada dry. So bad it's good is not always a lie.

This is one of my all time favorite movies. Psycho Cop is a genius. He makes hilarious jokes and does cool things. The storyline is so lame that its great. This is definately the best B horror movie of all time and if you can find it somewhere, I definately recommend renting it.

This film is pure magic! The star (bobby ray Shaffer) of this epic motion picture, is brilliant. His delivery of every line is something you'd thought you could only get in a Cecil B. Demille film. This film has a stellar cast and the editing is genius. No other film in history is better than this. This IS about as good as a film can get! I give this motion picture 10 stars because of its quality. You'll never see a better film in your life! Officer Joe Vickers is the greatest character ever put together on film. It puts all other to shame (moses, darth vadar, and even ben-hur) No other actor can capture the force Bobby can.

A devil worshipping police officer follows a group of college students to a vacation home, where he proceeds to murder them. Yet another teen slasher flick from the 80's, lesser known than most, with all of the typical elements of the genre in place, except for nudity and sexual situations. It is worse acted than most though, and features one of the most inept performances in film history by Bobby Ray Shafer. My rating: 4 out of 10. Rent at your own risk.

If you haven't seen this movie then, boy are you in for a treat. This film is an absolute classic and should be viewed as soon as possible. From start to finish this film gives a master-class in how to build suspense and burst it with perfectly judged moments of comic relief. The quality of acting is extremely high and stands up on repeated viewing. This movie is a must-see for anyone who is a fan of classic thrillers, such as, "Night of the Hunter", and indeed the performance of 'psycho cop', Bobby Ray Shaffer, recalls that of Robert Mitchum in the above movie.
