The last reviewer said how awful this movie was - it ISN'T. I watched it and it's a lovely kid's movie - apart from the songs. Which are awful, in all the wrong places and totally kill the film. I'd love to get a copy, go through it and cut all the songs out - you wouldn't miss them, they're not doing a THING to make the film work better - and what you had left would be a lovely, little-kids movie. The animation's good. The plot's got just enough scary bits in for little kids, it's well balanced. I liked all the characters and they'd kept the story simple for little kids. It's got a lot going for it - it's just the songs suck! I'd give it about 6 or 7 out of ten with no songs, unfortunately 4 out of ten WITH the songs! Having SAID that, I think the kids would just ignore them to get back to the story. Steve Ulrich.

Although the storyline is good for the kids, beware of the voices, that of the Princess especially, trust me if watching with your kids and grandkids her voice over and laugh will have you reaching for the remote or a vodka.....

What a terrible cartoon, really bad animation, no story, characters soooo wooden, just bad from start to finish. Even my daughter couldn't watch it. I think this Russian animation studio should go back to making vodka and leave making movies to someone who knows what they are doing. BTW, all their animations are the same, bad!

Avoid like the plague. Not getting that hour of my life back.

Beautiful, and amusing to watch! Also for adults. Very impressed!

My 2yr old wanted to watch this on Virgin and she got fed up after 16 minutes. The speech doesn't fit with the mouth movements, the dialogue of the Princess is so bad that it almost sounds computer generated. Songs are not great either. It seems they've also tried to make the Princess & the King look like they're respective characters from a famous Disney film that also involves a certain happy snowman?! Just a poor poor film and I have to question the authenticity of the review giving it 10/10 as giving it a 1 is being generous

Wow, horrifically bad. Awful voice acting, random songs and the story line was just non existent. We were hoping the ending would reveal the plot but instead the big reveal was "I will tell you when you're older". Utterly pointless film and deserves less than 1 stars.

The story line is dull. The princess' character comes across very annoying and she acts like a spoilt brat. You don't find out what happens to the mother, it's all just very shortly cut it seems and rushed towards the end.

Bad voice acting, not much character development, stupid plot, bad CGI animation and plot holes. Bad voice acting: the way Barbra talks is strange. She doesn't use the accents properly. No character development: the jester and the counselor have no real motives and the king is horrible at his job both as a king and as a father. Plot: the whole plot hangs on the fact that the queen is missing. The plot hole is the book: we are given no details as to where it came from, what it does, etc. Animation: some of the characters are given huge heads and it's very distracting. I can't really explain why the animation is so bad.
