Disclaimer: Bigfoot movies are subject to a tough crowd. That's because there are people who believe bigfoot is real, and they have extreme expectations that a bigfoot movie should represent their own personal vision of what bigfoot is. And then there are the people who don't believe bigfoot is real, and they might not even be drawn to watch a bigfoot movie. So often enough, films about bigfoot get trashed because they have the worst critics possible, bigfoot believers who simply cannot agree on what a bigfoot really would be, and who can't stand what they believe is a misrepresentation of their beloved beast. That said, this movie delivers a decent beast for the widest possible crowd. It draws on a good deal of the bigfoot mythology, which is in fact quite broad and non-standardized. The thing is, while this will not be the bigfoot movie for most believers, it will likely satisfy a definite slice of the bigfoot community who will think that this interpretation is exactly in alignment with their vision of what bigfoot would be. Aside from the fact that a lot of bigfooters will be upset at the presentation of THIS particular bigfoot manifestation, the fact is that this is a monster movie. It's not Harry and the Hendersons. It's not Baby Bigfoot. It's not your run of the mill bigfoot as the happy, forest guardian who smiles a lot and speaks to birdies. This bigfoot is a monster, and it looks like a monster and acts like a monster. In that regard, it performs quite well. Of course, there will be plenty of things to nit pick about. The acting was kind of stiff or perhaps inexperienced with some of the actors, but not so much that it isn't a credible situation. There are some costume issues here and there, nothing major but still noticeable, there are some makeup or prop issues, but again not worth attacking. Saying that I would have interpreted the monster differently goes without saying; virtually everyone would have done it somewhat differently, but hey, when I make a movie I'll get to make it my way, and until then I'll enjoy how others make their movies and not complain too much. My suspicion is that the audience that will appreciate it the most, will have a hard time finding their way to this film, while those who will be most critical will find it first and comment critically on it being a bad film, a waste of time, or "not what bigfoot really is". That's unfortunate because the movie is really a decent movie. I'd even say it was a good movie, especially considering all of the creative and financial aspects that play into making films. As I said, I liked this film because it is a refreshing take on a well worn and tired genre, the bigfoot film. The best way to enjoy it is to unhitch yourself to presuppositions about what bigfoot is, and just enjoy the ride. It's not a great film, but it really is a good film, well worth watching. I'd love to see this one succeed so that others might find a viable market in this genre. I like bigfoot movies, and if critical believers attack every bigfoot film that comes out, they will quickly find that they have undermined the marketability of ANY future bigfoot films.

No it's not a 10 rated movie however I feel it was rated by many without actually being viewed. IMO this is one of the more unique monster movies, or a variation of a type of Bigfoot movie not even remotely close to anything we've ever seen before. It's hard to really name a sasquatch type of movie that has been anything above halfway decent. This movie was not just decent to me, bur borderline, GOOD. The "lead" actor is pretty horrible, the male lead, the female only slightly better. It's the abilities and the uniqueness of the monster antagonist that make this movie. My true rating would be a 6, maybe a 7 out of 10 as far as fun viewing. Acting is maybe a 4. I just don't think the 4 it's rated right now is a fair rating with too many 1 and 2 stars. Of this specific type of movie, this is the best one I have ever seen that has a Bigfoot type of creature. It's by no means a typical Bigfoot story you have heard some hunter relate before.

Thank You Patrick Magee for making this movie along with all the Cast . I am a long time Bigfoot fan and movies of this Legend.... I really enjoyed this movie , The Creature looked Great !!! The Acting was Good I did see a couple of small things that could in my opinion have been done different .. I don't want to spoil any of the movie so if you dont want to know please do not read more ... Spoiler Alert ... The scene where the rape happen i believe the Actress should have screamed or shown a bit more besides the zoning out look .. I understand blocking something out but no way you are not going to react to a 8 foot 400 pound monster doing that . I enjoyed the gang of Jerk Hunters being Killed and thought it was really well done . I also feel like the Sheriff almost was comedy relief at the end , and the deputy should have come with them he believed and could have been a great help even if he died trying to save the Sheriff . I felt that the Sheriff had a good amount of screen time but his death at the end could have been a little better maybe drawn out a bit more fighting back and lastly the ending where Max is telling Ashley the Acting took kinda a dip there it felt like their Chemistry was off a little . I thought they did Great the rest of the Movie .. The Last thing I felt out of place was the Witch .. Man she could have just been a Elderly Native Woman and it would have fit so much better . She looked very over done almost cartoon like Snow White. Overall the Parts i liked FAR FAR outweigh the parts i didn't like and while not everyone's cup of tea i have been watching Bigfoot Movies for well over 30 years and this is my new Favorite . I hope if you get to make another one that you bring Casey Gagliardi back she was just a Doll to watch and is definitely new Actress to follow for sure . I thought all the Actors did a Great Job.. Man Marshal Hilton really had me wanting to see him get killed he played that role Great and It was sad to hear about Andrew Joseph Montgomery being injured but what a Professional to see him come back after the break and finish the movie . I hope he continues his Acting ..

Primal Rage is a new thriller that brings Bigfoot to the big screen! The film is directed by a special effects artist so the makeup, gore, blood, and creature design all look great! The film is also well-shot and really captures the beauty and terror of the forest setting. The director also did a good job with casting the film. The leads are good especially considering they're new talents. The film also has comedic relief from a group of hunters, the leader of which is particularly great. Primal Rage is an intense and gruesome film that I strongly recommend especially to horror fans!

Terrible acting. No suspension of disbelief whatsoever. Monster's costume (because that's what it is, a costume) is silly. Characters' behaviors are just plain stupid and unconvincing. Writing is really bad. Why would you wait and chit chat in the freezing forest instead of searching for the road, a house or help? Good reviews must be fake.
