The animation is simple, colorful and not complicated, the action is funny and not full of explosions and violence, and the characters learn and grow.

It actually got a 2 bc I was so entertained at my kids reactions and commentary to this movie. I am currently 45 minutes into this movie, and I had to start looking into it. I was surprised it was made/released in 2015---it seems like a story that was developed many generations ago. (Joe is lovestruck by the underage-looking female who knocks him out with the door). And it is very poor quality..I literally thought to myself that this must be an early creation when animation became a thing. So, the commentary the kids have provoded have been on joesJsquare finhers, his proportion to his house, his eyebrows......nothing looks human amongst hom, and therefore the movie comes off as something made for toddlers. Did I mention my children are 8 and 10, and find this movie an actual laughing joke? We are watching this only because it is a TV movie, and it is the end of our night spending time together. Not recommend for 8+

Most animated films use variations of the same type of story: the main character has to overcome certain obstacles in order to achieve his goal and there is a climax with a seemingly invincible antagonist. Except what if instead of one there were an entire colony of antagonists in the form of magical creatures? In the film known as Pixies, a village of pixies led by an absolute monarch pixie who is in charge of the entire kingdom declares war on a human after he threatens the very existence of his subjects. During this time the pixies curse the human is named Joe Beckman, and before he knows it his life is spiraling out of control into chaos. It is up to him to break the curse that the pixies set up on him before it's too late. However the downside of this film is that it's dark undertones of vengeance towards the second half of the movie might be a little too dark for some of the young audience members. Despite this minor issue I know deep down inside that this movie is going to do really well, and it's one of the best animated movies that I have ever seen.

Horribly written. Horribly animated and horribly voiced. Did anyone rating this over a 5 actually watch the same movie I did? I don't want to swear but it is hard in this review. I hope the director writer didn't spend all of his life saving's on this. Yikes

The Pixies Movie is extremely entertaining especially for an animated movie, which is something quite unexpected. It follows the story of Joe Back who works as a mechanic at an auto shop whose life turns upside down the moment some evil-behaving pixies show up. For a while Joe, who is the main character thinks he must be losing his mind, until he realizes that Sam the pixie is ultimately responsible for his problems, but then everything changes because Joe loses his girlfriend thanks to the pixies. At this point it's up to Joe to stop the endless cycle of back-and-forth fights between him and the pixies, and get his life back. Cinematography was excellent in the film and the characters were all colorful and it added to the project. Most movies have a moral or a lesson to be learned, and the Pixies film is the same in that regard. In this story the characters learn from their mistakes, and the greatest moral to learn is that revenge is never the answer to a dispute between two parties. Therefore the Pixies is a great movie to watch and it's good for a very family friendly audience.

In the suburbs, there is a pixies village hidden in a ditch. Sam and his friends live in the village. His brother William is crushed by a trash bag from the human world. The Pixie King declares a curse on the human named Joe Beck. Sam and his friends cause havoc in his life even at his garage shop. He crashes into Michelle Meyers and falls head over heels. He discovers the pixies and captures Sam. This is an animated Canadian movie. The animation is rudimentary akin to the late 90s production level. It's better than film student level but less than theatrical release level. The designs are a little ugly especially the pixies and Michelle. The story is functional although it needs to be more straight. There is an environmental bent but it needs fully embrace it. Better animation would help a lot in smoothing out the rougher spots.

Sean Patrick O 'Reilly, who stars as the voice-over for the character of Joe Beck, brings a comic-inspired and interesting film to the big screen. Without giving away any spoilers all that can be said is that the Pixie movie will get promising results at the box office. The reason for this is the plot is captivating and it really pulls the audience in. The great background music was a light and pleasant contrast compared to the loud and obnoxious soundtracks people see in some action movies in the modern age. The music was a perfect choice for the movie, because it kept the story flowing, and didn't serve to merely distract viewers like the other ones we've seen. Technically the movie is brilliant due to the fact that the graphics are high quality and top notch. Sound and voice overs of all the other cast members are excellent and perfect. Pixie the movie tells the story of an auto mechanic who learns his lesson to respect the pixie's environment. The action was just the right amount with fantasy violence and nothing more. It is marvelous for people of all ages to watch, because it has emotional twists that get people drawn into the story.

The Pixie's movie is very different from other comedies because pixies are almost never introduced in these stories. Mythical creatures being introduced into the everyday world makes a very interesting film. Watching it is not only a fun experience, but also a very educational one. The colors and graphics were very good and done by someone with great drawing skills. The other typical comedies that people see are usually done by badly with poor aesthetic quality. There could have been a faster pacing of events though and I don't think that this was done as well as it could have been. The movie beginning is not thrilling enough though and I wish that it were more filled with action. Instead we get a man named Joe Beck waking up in the morning still feeling drowsy. So that is what should have been changed to hook the audience in right away the moment the story starts.
