steve jobs versus bill gates , absolute the movie didn't show the whole story behind them but over all it was fascinating and interesting . I feel like this is a war. that thing between companies I never knew it before but for now i realized it fully after that
the best quote from this movie , good artists copy art , great artists steal it . from Picasso .
what else I learned from steve jobs how he influence their employees and make them work harder and harder bill gates was like that baby that didn't know any thing but in the mean time he do the right thing and be as bad as bill gates
after all i don't know how could steve jobs reach that amazing with his way of dealing with his employees s s s s

I will make this very short:
"Great TV movie with outstanding performances by Noah Wyle and Anthony Michael Hall!"
I loved watching the "fights" between Steve Jobs (Apple) and Bill Gates (Microsoft) and also showing that Steve Jobs was not always a very human / kind person in his early years makes this movie believable and watchable.
Please make a sequel: I wish they would consider making a sequel showing the period from 1997 until now for the world to see what Steve Jobs actually accomplished after returning again to Apple (in 1997) after he was more or less kicked out by the board of directors in 1985!!!

Even though they did embellish and outright make stuff up for the movie, the gist of it is still very accurate and paints an incredible picture of the origins of the now trillion dollar industy that was nothing but a few circuits in someone's garage in the 70s. Good performances all around, the story will surely intrigue anyone that knows anything about the computer biz and the players that inhabit it. The number of billion dollar mistakes made by companies and individuals is mind boggling...

This movie really shows the artistic side of Jobs. Noah did a fantastic job of portraying what a genius Jobs is and was. Although it was in truth a little too uneasy to sit though, being a Jobs and Mac fan. From my take on the movie, Jobs is into life change with the Macintosh, where Gates just wants power. The movie, in my opinion, slammed Apple Computer at the same time it shows how much of an artist in design and concept Jobs is.

While I am not a full fledged computer whiz, I like to mess around with them and love new technology (as do most guys). I saw the previews for this movie on TNT and thought it would certainly be interesting and thought I could possibly learn something about the Microsoft/Apple rivalry that I didn't know about before. I also thought that Hollywood would find a way to make the story dramatic and interesting. All I can say about all of this is that it was Boring (with a capital "B"). Not to mention somewhat confusing. I never knew who it was that was narrating in the background. Don't feel bad if you missed it, and don't bother if they try to market this one at your local video store.

This movie is an overly hyped but fascinating look at two characters central to the development of the personal computer as a modern icon rapidly becoming indispensable to our society: Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. So much of the Apple/Mac=artistic versus PC=technical dichotomy that characterizes this icon's history can be traced to the personalities of the protagonists, who use their hard-driving (no pun intended) traits to follow different paths to success. Jobs and Gates are revealed as talented, flawed eccentrics. My wife and I both enjoyed the movie. Among other things in this movie the Altair 8800 microcomputer fired up Bill Gates. As it happens, I still have the January, 1975, issue of Popular Electronics that first described constructing the Altair 8800. (My daughter thinks that's sad. Then again, she liked the movie, too.)

The subject is very interesting. I love both Steve and Bill. However unfortunately the film could not conduct the hard efforts they put in their professional and personal lives. I saw the film once but I think some scenes were redundant and could have been left out and replaced with Bill or Steves' inspiring actions or competitions. I think the film should have been maybe 3 hours and of course more in details. The context music is wonderful and really impressing. Actors make up was splendid. Bill, Steve, Ballmer and others look like their real characters. Also they played very natural and close to their real counterparts. Nice job overall.

Anthony Michael Hall and Noah Wyle portray Gates and Jobs (respectively) in ways that make me feel like I've squished a caterpillar in my hand. They are channeling the characters they play. I've debated which is the more convincing portrayal, but I give up. It's worth watching just for the character studies.
There's more, though. I've never met Wozniak, but I work with someone who knows (more accurately, knew) Ballmer and says that he is EXACTLY like the actor portrays him in the film. The cinema trick of pulling Ballmer out of the scene of the key meeting between Gates, Allen, Ballmer and the IBM guys is way cool, too.
Don't stress over matching the fictional account with real world events, just enjoy the way the cast and crew capture these mens' souls on film.
