There are a few good and a few improvement points.
Direction is good.
Screenplay is slow. Misses a pace and could have been reduced to a length of 1.5 hr.
The horror isn't forced, has a backdrop.
Few jump scares are really good.
Casting of the main characters is good. Good acting by Srikanth and Easvari ji.
The plot is not new still keeps you engaged.
Much better than regular horror movies which pretend to be scary.
A bit gory though.
Climax is predictable amd can be guessed in the beginning itself.
My advice to makers- spare children being your target of scaring the audience.
Overall a 1-TIME-WATCH.

It's actually a 30 min short film which they extended to 2 and half hours with unnecessary and slow dragging filler scenes. The story isn't that great either and the ending is not satisfactory. Kind of reminded of the western horror movies where the entire movie is built on a short premise and the entire movie is just the characters acting counterintuitively and slowly walk towards the danger rather than away from it. There was potential to use some of the elements introduced in the movie and actually build a universe out of it with it's own laws on how god and ghosts work but none of that expanded upon. It's an empty shell of a movie with a wasted potential.

I dont know how this movie get 8 rating i give 1 because there is no number below than that. From direction to coluring there is no perfection just look like crew and cast done this movie on a vaccation time. Horror movie have jump scares but in this movie editing itself jump everywhere there is no proper cuts. Story and screenplay wow the director vision clear to make this movie worst one and acting my god terrible "emandi" there is no emotion no logic no connection. I think director try to throw this movie in garbage mistakenly it falls on OTT. Audience who read reviews please escape yourself dont get fooled like me.

Pindam is a chilling rollercoaster ride into the depths of horror, weaving a narrative that grips you from start to finish. From the eerie opening scene to the bone-chilling climax, this film keeps you on the edge of your seat, never letting up on its tension-filled atmosphere.
Director Saikiran Daida masterfully crafts each scene, utilizing clever camera angles and haunting sound design to evoke a sense of unease that lingers long after the credits roll. The cinematography is stunning, capturing both the beauty and the darkness of the rural setting in which the story unfolds.
At its core, Pindam is a tale of ancient folklore and modern terror colliding in a small village plagued by a mysterious curse. The characters are deeply flawed yet relatable, adding layers of complexity to the narrative as they grapple with their own demons while facing the horrors lurking in the shadows.
The performances are top-notch, with each actor fully immersing themselves in their roles, making you believe in the terror that surrounds them. Special mention must be made of the lead actress, whose portrayal of a woman haunted by both past traumas and present terrors is nothing short of mesmerizing.
But what truly sets pindam apart is its ability to tap into universal fears and anxieties, making it a truly visceral experience for audiences. Whether it's the fear of the unknown, the terror of confronting one's own sins, or the dread of being consumed by forces beyond our control, this film touches on themes that resonate on a primal level.
Overall, Pindam is a masterclass in horror filmmaking, delivering scares that are as thought-provoking as they are terrifying. It's a must-watch for any fan of the genre, and a testament to the power of storytelling to elicit fear and fascination in equal measure.

Desi remake of the Conjuring
Director doesn't know the basics of Religion.
Says some religions are called Abrahamic religions coz they worship a god called Abraham 😆
Characters of Conjuring remain the same. No creativity. They buy a cheap house, and get stuck due to haunting. No logic on why the ghosts don't want to let the intruders go away. Every scene will remind you of Conjuring.
Heavy dose of Secularism. All religions equal blah blah.
Eeshwari rao did justification to her role. Rest of the actors are just bad. Every character overacts in every scene.
Watched it coz Amazon said it is in Top 8 in India. Now I see only 3 public reviews here. Cheap Desi Copy.

Asal idhi horror movie ey na, cinema peru pindam kaani director ki oka dandham.
Asal a horror endhi, aa vfx endhi, asal aa green screen endhi ra babuu.
Such a predictable movie and such an irritating ending.
I still wonder how this movie was rated 8 above like wtf has happened to people these days ? The only reason i can think of high rating is the old man killing their daughters was shown as such gore and violence that it must be thrilling for telugu audience to watch this for the first time in a telugu movie and think wow what a violent and horror movie this must be. I agree that the violence in that 5 min scene was peak but that isn't worth watching the movie. TRUST ME, NOT WORTH THE WATCH.
Maaku meme pindam pettukune paristhiti ochindi.

Pindam is one of the best well written, directed horror telugu movies. The performances of all the actors were decent and the writing of each scene and story progression and back story was very convincing. The cinematography, lighting and production design were perfect. They left so many things unanswered probably for a sequel and yet, the climax was very satisfying. The only thing I felt odd was the color of Eswari Rao's car and costumes. The little girl's acting (Tara) was too good.
I was hoping that the character played by Srinivas Avasarala is Mary's son in her womb and was looking forward to how the murderers from the past were killed.
