2018 Australian made mediocre thriller.
A schizophrenic woman and a man who would kill for wealth meet at a bar. The man is actually pimping a rich man. He seduces the woman himself and offers it to the man. After that, things don't go as planned.
Cheap acting, simple script. Everything is clear from the beginning. There is a love scene.

Kenneth's parents can't ask, what are you doing in this house?

Fair writing. Grisly, with some mild humor. Lots of muscles on the heroine; who is the typical 21st century "strong" female etc. I suppose we should believe that rapists deserve death. At least we're supposed to.

Two housemates, Lewis and Kenneth, befriend a young woman, Sarah. Their motives are selfish and malevolent but seemingly-fragile Sarah might just have a surprise or two in store for them.
I had low expectations before watching this but was impressed initially and with the plot development. Some interesting, unexpected turns of events, gritty violence, a tight plot and dark atmosphere made for reasonably compelling watching.
Unfortunately, however, writer-director David Barker could not sustain the quality throughout (despite the short running time) and things fizzle out towards the end. A great pity as it promised so much at one stage. Ultimately it is quite disappointing.

Henry Lewis Blake (Benedict Samuel) picks up women for his less attractive roommate (Robin Goldsworthy). He picks up a Sarah (Ella Scott Lynch) who has mental issues and an imaginary alter-ego who eggs her on to be more daring. The evening did not go as planned for either one as it develops into a dark comedy where two people who distrust each other are forced to come together to cover up their misdeeds.
It was a short film that was well done, although it lacked the one or two over-the-top scenes to carry the film to cult status. It does have a "Lynch" in it.
Guide: F-word. sex. nudity (Ella Scott Lynch).

This movie is garbage.
Completely predictible and boring beyond belief.
Poorly written and even more poorly directed. Who actually gave this guy money to make this? You should have just sent a was of cash to the refuse bin.

Is is a fantastic movie, where one minute you gasp in shock and wonder what will happen next. Then you laugh out loud because of the subtle and dark humour well distributed throughout. The movie will play on your mind for days, and you will be asking yourself many questions and ponder about who is the psychopath. Just brilliant!

Pimped is tightly scripted thriller, surprising me with it's themes. I wasn't expecting a genre film that dealt with issues of identity, while also building to a climatic end based around the abuse of a woman. Ella Scott Lynch is remarkable in her roles, so too Benedict Samuel. I saw this in the cinema in Sydney and it has stayed with me since. Beautifully shot with a soundtrack that was intense and minimal at the same time. This really moved me on a number of levels.

"A stylish subversive treat, a bon-bon spiked with ground glass..." - FilmInk
"Utterly, creepily convincing" - The Australian
"Slick ripper...thriller" - Jim Schembri 3AW
This film is not for everyone. It's a highly stylised genre piece, which asks the audience to think more ... to consider what if? Who can you really trust, who do you really know? Fans of "You" will enjoy the psycho thriller aspect, fans of "Gotham" will enjoy seeing Benedict Samuel (Mad Hatter) wrecking havoc. Read the critic reviews - they get the themes and discuss in an intriguing manner.

A lot of the negative reviews here just completely miss the mark; they're either unable to interpret what is happening in this film or just incapable of recognizing a solid movie. Pimped isn't flawless but it's a solid film that delivers an intriguing plot, two nicely twisted main characters, and fairly realistic circumstances.
Why it's called Pimped I'll never know. It has nothing to do with pimping or prostitution. Others have summed up the storyline pretty well and you can see it's a dramatic thriller about a woman getting revenge for a rape...and much more.
I will agree that it doesn't have the truly fantastic scenes that put you on the edge of your seat, but as a low-wattage drama it has plenty of interesting turns, peaks and valleys. The acting, direction and production values were all top notch. And unlike some others--even some who still liked the movie--I really liked the ending!

How different and challenging life can be, for women and for men , in sickness and in health. this is a psychological horror thriller, that starts off very slow burning, so you sit there flipping coins, shall i leave it or not.... because it is in the second half it really takes off to become mental and quite nasty. there are psychopathia, quite a few actually, but can you guess who???
it is a film with few location, quite spartanic equipted apartments and houses, the story must have been written on a paper napkin, and the sound product is a mess. there are a few murders, and they come fast an abrupt prescice and very bloody. there are also a very strong alter ego, that really plays an important part in the plot. so when the pimp gets pimped by the pimp who is then the pimp.
its a bit slow, but it is watchable and fine for those who likes it a bit burlesque, a small recommendation from the grumpy old man
