I enjoy movies that I can watch with my family and friends and not have to worry about the language and the content of the movie. Piercing Wounds exceeded my expectations. I love the action in the movie as well as the loving and caring side of the movie. This has all you need in a good movie, drama, action and of course a little romance never hurts.
I thought the acting and directing was great. Everything was professional and on point. As in life there is always room for improvement, but I am very impressed with the outcome of this amazing family film. It is a must watch in my book. I will be definitely watching this movie again.

If you're watching this expecting big explosions and Hollywood graphics, you're going to be let down. This is not a Hollywood production film. However, Confound Productions has a great writer, producer and only continues to get better. This is, by far, my favorite movie that has come out by them. It has action, romance, and comedy. There was some great acting in it and good chemistry between actors, it really seemed like the main cast clicked well, and it kept me interested the entire time. It's also a 'clean' movie, like all of their films. I don't have an issue with swear words, rated R, or care about religion, but if it's something you're looking for in a movie, this is a good movie for you, as are all of Confound Productions! I'd definitely say they're family friendly. Give it a try. I can't wait for the next one!

I'm a huge fan of action films. And I'm kind of a martial arts buff. I stumbled across this little gem and watched it without a break, as I do with some movies. But this one had a nice story and character arc that I enjoyed. The fights scenes and techniques were really well done. I like the characters, they were very believable and it was cool to see how the three of them all needed something, and how they all full filled each other in the end. The score was pretty cool for an indie film. And the ending was good. It had a nice little flow of emotions, which, I don't really look for because I mostly like action movies, but in this case, it was well done.
My take away, if you like indie films and good acting, and you don't nit pick every little thing in a movie, this is an enjoyable watch.

This may not be a 10, but it certainly is no 1 star! I enjoyed the story, well written with all the elements men and women would appreciate - action, suspense, drama, romance, betrayal, redemption ... and the acting was believable. (who cares about the wig ... it was in the movie all of what, 5 minutes) The actress was delightful and the relationship with her brother had me laughing in serveral parts. The intense scenes were that - intense. And I literally cried during the somber scene. This movie touched every emotion - well done.
As for the lead not writing, producing, directing and acting in his own movie - uuuuuummm - Denzel Washington, George Clooney, Ben Afleck, Mel Gibson, Clint Eastwood, Angelina Jolie, Jodie Foster, Tom Hanks, Sylvester Stallone .... REALLY! That's not ego dudes ... it's show biz. 🙄

From the writing, plot, character development, cinematography etc. The movies being released by Andrew Jacob Brown and Confound Productions keep getting better and better. I like that local filming locations are being used. Places I recognize and new ones. This film has a great story line. The characters have depth and range. I love action and choreography and this film has it all. I strongly encourage anyone who is a fan of movies, action, romance, suspense, martial arts and all around great story telling to give this movie your time. You won't be disappointed. Don't forget the popcorn! You should rent it tonight.

This is not a perfect movie, but it is to me. I have an obsession with story and specifically love stories. I like a lot of Nicholas Sparks novels and of course the Stephenie Meyer Twilight series. And maybe it's just been awhile since I seen a good love story and I feel like there hasn't many advertised, but all that to be said, I love this film.
It's an independent film and a simple one. There is a wig in the beginning that I thought was kinda funny but it was only for a couple minutes. But the writing was pretty darn good, and I read a lot of scripts. I did like all 3 leads, and the red headed guy that played the villain, but I mostly liked Melanie. I can relate to her in a lot of ways. It would be interesting if they made a second one.

Great action plus great romance equals great movie for date night! Andrew Jacob Brown rights the perfect script here to please both the male and female audience with this sort of love and redemption. Cesar Caolo also steals a few scenes with his performance of Matt, he plays the role with so much conviction. The romance is well done and this movie just brings me back to the great 90's action movies. Andrew Jacob Brown deserves lots of credit for directing and bringing a great balance of drama, action, and romance. He also coordinates the stunts and does a great job. I also felt like the performance of both villains was great.

Speaking about the 10 star rating, I understand that we judge low budget indie films differently than we do Hollywood movies, but whoever gave this 10 stars must be either the director, one of the cast, or the director's parents.
The only review I read that was honest gave this movie a 1 star rating. They were the only ones who mentioned the horrible wig and weak fighting. And yes, I agree with them when they said that you should not write, direct, and star in your own movie. It's very self centered when you do. You're putting your ego before the movie.
Put you ego aside and let someone else take the lead. It helps the movie because it lets you focus more on directing and it shows that you care more about the movie than your own fragile ego.
