ummm I don't know if I liked this movie or not. I thought it was funny and the acting was ok. The story kept me interested. It was watchable but only if your open minded This movie is about club kids (Macaulay Culkin and Seth Green)who get caught up in parties and drugs of NYC, with a murder thrown in there... I guess it was pretty good... I sat through it... I'd give it hmmm I guess 2.5 out of 5

So, first of all, here's the news: Macaulay Culkin is back on the big screen in his first notable lead since Home Alone 2. The actor has grown, but suffers from the child-star disease that somehow he still looks like "this kid in this one movie about that boy that gets stuck at home while his family goes to Paris". All the actors are great in this though. Seth Green as James St. James, narrator of the story and "the original club kid" is especially outstanding and well-cast. The mood of the late 80s / early 90s NY club culture is brought back on-screen with a wonderful soundtrack, hilarious outfits and sharp one-liners. Certainly not the movie of the year, but I guess it will play well once released to DVD.

Saw this flick last nite.....it was fun, somewhat touching. The two leads played well together. The film could stand some tighter editing though. I, along with most of the theater, was squirming long before the end. Some scenes drag on.....

I loved this movie! It was strange to see Seth Green in makeup, weird costumes but it only made it more fascinating to watch. I love Chloe Sevingy, the part as perfect for her. I think the party scenes were so unique and obscure that it made you watch the entire film. The only negative thing from this film was the drug use, made me realize I will never take drugs. I think the costume set director should receive good remarks for their work, the costumes on this set were amazing! I think the movie is overlooked by actors dressed in drag, homosexuality, or bisexuality, and guys in makeup and drugs. Yes, drugs are used every 50 seconds of the film, but without the drugs the whole plot of the story would be ruined! the entire moral of the story would not exist and what would be the point to make a movie out of a true story? Morals of the stories? Don't take drugs, and party scenes make look fun but deep down there is disturbance awaiting to happen. Look at Studio 54...

If you are a fan of true crime I strongly advise watching this movie and then do a deep dive as I did after! This story was so interesting to me and the movie had a lovable/quirky vibe that kept it light enough for such serious topics. The YouTube, interviews and documentary after this movie will only surprise you more.

I for one liked this movie, because they did a pretty good job acting just like the real people, from interviews I have seen and the book I have read. The costumes were brilliant, and very creative. I looked at this movie as an expression of art, not for the best acting. However, Maculay did not do as good of a job as Seth Green. I felt like I was watching a play, on stage, and not a movie. All the bouncy acting, colorful costumes and bizzare dancing. I bought the movie for 6.00 brand new, so even if it wasn't the best, I didn't waste my money. Overall I give this movie: Acting: 3/5 Costumes: 5/5 Sets: 2.5/5 Plot: 3.5/5 Overall: 7/10 A good movie to watch at home

I've read the book and watched the movie i love both but i do think the movie could have been a little better where was Mavis? where was jenny Talia?! i thought Culkin did a great job at times but there were a few scenes where the break of the spotlight really showed Seth did a wonderful job as well as Marilyn Manson as Christina (can you say accurate?) was that Natasha Lyonne or the real Brooke i couldn't tell! i also hate hate hate when they make a books into motion pictures how much they change things such as Freezes and Michaels scramble for the lost rock before angel comes in that happened to Freeze, James and Mavis NOT Michael and the donut shop scene? James didn't teach Michael how to be fabulous however the music was magnificent and the movie grasped the usage of drugs in club land fairly well i think i encourage everyone to read the book Bloodfeast for June brides get me to the church on time!

I who never was in NY during the early 90s, do not know what the rave scene used to be like. According to my friend, this movie is "on-point" to the underground rave scenes. (Yuck, ew, yuck, sick) I love Seth Green and I think he's a wonderful actor; this role proves it. But Macaulay on the other hand... well I guess it would be hard to play a deranged, delusional, and psychopathic snob, with killer instincts...no pun intended. But it was a horrible performance. Is it to late to ask him to go take acting lessons? The small cameos throughout this film cannot save this movie. Although I did amuse myself by playing "spot the celeb" b/c the story itself made me want to puke manually. The highlight of this film was seeing Culkin in a naughty nurse outfit... I got a huge kick out of that. I stopped watching it after an hour, cus the movie wasn't going anywhere except for Hollywood Hell for being very very bad.

the acting is amazing and the story really comes alive with this movie.. its freaky, its disturbing, and i love it. the director of this film i congratulate! well done. I was also glad to see my favourite actor in it.. the gay the only the home alone boy. he looks amazing.. he is a wonderful actor and keeps getting better. I'm looking forward to seeing more of hie movies! the film really does bring it home to you about some people who actually live like that.. its sad and you think to yourself thank god i've got what i have right now.. or.. bunch of losers.. I'm not like you and I'm better than you and this is a silly film.. well, i do not think so.. i think of the first option and damn it i did not want to write this many lines but in order to get this published for this movie they are making the comment very long, grr. anyways, great film!
