Like a box of chocolates, this film has many different flavors to explore - some perhaps more interesting than others, but all worth experiencing. It is so hard to pick out which parts of this film are worth telling you about here...suffice it to say that if you've ever been in love, ever wanted to explore Paris, and are even remotely interested in seeing this film...you'll enjoy it. Alex Payne's contribution to the film is the cherry on top and the perfect way to end the presentation. Well...that and a short coda with several of the characters from various shorts interacting in the very end which gives a nostalgic feeling that may have you wanting to watch the film all over again. I've traveled to Europe a few times, visited Paris twice, and though I suspected as much while I was there, I was never as sure as I was after seeing this movie that...I love Paris.

Usually, the movie is more like a novel and you have to spend whole 2 hours to "read" it all. Some are good, some not. This one, in contrast, is a good "book" of short stories. As usual, not all are good but all in all this is great film. I've seen it several times already and, probably, will will be seeing more. It has good aftertaste and definitely worthwhile to see. At least, to make your own impression. As soon as each episode is not long (some 5-6 minutes) it is easy to skip one you do not like, at least when one decides to see it next time and one definitely does. The strange requirement to give at least 10 lines in the review. I do not want to go into details, especially episode-by-episode. There are 18 of them and all are different. I believe, each of them find the viewer.

An interesting and moving set of romantic short films set in Paris by an assorted array of accomplished directors and Actors. If you have ever viewed short films made at most of the film school around Australia year after year you can really tell the difference in quality. It makes you understand the vast gulf between inexperience and lack of imagination as opposed to very special talent and creativity. I have lived in Paris and my brother was born there so I have a close connection and special affection for Romantic French films. Many of them form the basis for some of the best American comedies. I thoroughly recommend viewing this DVD especially if you have a romantic evening planned or you have good taste in cinema. All in all a must for romantics.

The idea is nice. Bringing so many stars in one movie is great. But.... too many stories, too short and lacking really any sense. No connection between the scenes. There were some 3-4 brilliant stories... but these were out of 18. The frame reminded me of "All the invisible children" - a movie which I liked a lot. Compared to it, however, "Paris Je T'Aime" lacks the intriguing short story, which develops - starts and has its end. And it lacks the topic connecting all those - children. I do not find Paris enough of a topic to connect 18 short sketches together.Perhaps for people who know Paris it is interesting. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it...

Paris, je t'aime is a charming film which is a series of vignettes, each shot in a different part of the city, and each directed by a different director. The end result is a mini film fest of Parisian shorts. Although this film might be compared to Love Actually, it differs in that the individual subplots do not interconnect to form a cohesive story. Since no two segments were written or filmed by the same people, there is a wide variety of styles, and some of the stories are more memorable than others. The segments titled The 14th Arrondissement, Place de Victoires, Pigalle, Pere-Lachaise, and Le Marais stand out as do many of the performances. In the end, this film is as much about the city of Paris as it is about the relationships we have.

This was a great film that I wish got more exposure here in the US. The writers, directors, actors and crew really brought their best to each short. The contrasting styles with simple yet passionate stories about love and all of its manifestations were great. Highly recommended if you enjoy viewing the wonder of human attraction and love. Whatever stage of love/relationship you are in, long to be in, or are looking for a way out of, there is a story here that you will be able to relate to. I enjoyed some of the clever camera/dialogue work. One criticism is that some of the ties between characters of different shorts were unnecessary to show the interconnectivity of humanity. Each story stood on its own.

I loved this! Sure, not all of them are all that great, but none really stand out in a negative way, and the ones that work do so like pure magic. I like how they weren't given one theme or topic to focus on (aside from the obvious city) and instead many of them branch out and do some unexpected, delightful things. I'm surprised this didn't get more awards traction, looking at it now. I'd say many of them stand out, like the paramedic/dying guitarist, and the blind guy/actress ones. Others are shorter but still make a big impact. I definitely thought this was better than expected, and highly recommend it for anyone really
