This movie rings true. The area it was shot in Nevada, I used to ride that area when younger. I grew in horse culture, As a kid I cleaned the pens and rode trail helping the city folk manage their horses in exchange for a horse of my own to use. I spent years around the wranglers, rodeo bronc busters, all sorts of horse people. EVERY word, every attitude rings true to what I experienced and observed in that culture.
This movie deals with hate, redemption forgiveness and love. It is only slow if you expect action/adventure. This movie has adventure; the adventure of we humans traversing life and the joy of discovering, that love is eternal.

Sometimes a few heartfelt performances can make a difference. I usually skip through movies but this one deserves to be watched.

Glued me and warmed my heart. Few movies today have substance and this did. Thank you cast and writer.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Well played. Just one of those movies that reaches down into your soul and reminds you that there can always be redemption if you accept it.

It was nice story but the acting (especially Chad) was just bad, as was the directing. Some missteps should have been re-shot. Often times clunky.
And what has Henry doing for the prior 17 years?

Real cowboy roots showing through for John. Loved him in Miami Vice and always an underrated actor. This one has so much heart.

Really enjoyed the movie, it held my attention throughout. There was one line in the movie where the character Chad went looking for a place to stay and the exchange between him and his buddy was straight out of a George Thorogood song "House Rent Blues/One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer,1977. It went "Can I stay here. Naw man, you know my wife, she's kinda funny. Yeah I know, you funny too. Anybody else notice that?

Good movies make you care about what is happening in the story and to the charecters. This movie succeeds with that at a very high level. The acting, story-telling, shooting, editing and direction are all strong. This is probably the best movie I have seen that I had never before heard of.

It needs more movie and less soft guitar music. It seems the screenwriter just kept adding to the story and music to fill out a certain time slot. Then again, I'm forced to use a 150 letters to post this review when it can be done in less than 40.
