I don't know what that other reviewer was on when he wrote his propaganda review on this piece of used tissue paper of a movie.
Dime store plot, using sex as a come on to distract from shallow, traditional ad nauseaum storylines from old movies.
I thought Filipino cinema was looking up, and then I see this throwback turd from the 70s.
The actors did the best that they could, but this movie has all the trappings of an old Filipino movie that caters to people of supposedly limited intellect, and very little creativity.
You're better off watching empoys movies. At least you'll get a laugh.
From the same director that brought you some old school Filipino movies like the Ang Panday and Ang Panday 2 rehashes that no one knew existed.

This movie is a complete disaster from start to finish. It begins with some potential, but that quickly dissolves into an incoherent mess of poorly executed ideas. The pacing is abysmal, constantly jumping back and forth with unnecessary flashbacks that only serve to confuse the audience. By the time the ending rolls around, you're left wondering if the filmmakers even cared anymore. The conclusion is a cop-out, abruptly cutting off without any real resolution. It's as if they ran out of ideas and decided to call it a day. Characters make nonsensical decisions, and the plot holes are so massive you could drive a truck through them. This movie isn't just bad, it's infuriatingly bad - a waste of time and energy for anyone unfortunate enough to sit through it.

"Isang Gabi" feels like a One Act Play as most of it scenes focused on both main characters , Diego Loyzaga and Coleen Garcia. It is also reminds of Richard Linklater "Before Trilogy". This film isn't boring as it gets more interesting going towards it's ending!
The film is about two strangers who meet in the Bar one night and along the way something happened. I won't spoil the story. I just want to say that this film is a must see! The cast are all intensely brilliant! Both Coleen Garcia and Diego Loyzaga are great in their role. Yayo Aguila is memorable although her role here is short. Kudos to both The Great Ricky Lee who wrote this film and Mac Alejandre who directed film! It really deserves a cinema release!
Overall, "Isang Gabi" is the best adult thriller you can watch this year in cinema! One of the best Filipino films of 2024!
