This movie is terrible. So many scenes don't make any sense. The motivations of the characters are unclear, the acting is embarrassing and the plot line is very confusing. We started laughing at it and forced ourselves to watch it up to when the last rabbit was shot (don't ask why the poor white bunnies seem to attract guys with guns). This may sound picky, but it's shot in Canada in the winter and no one wears gloves outdoors. Throughout you are asking why did he/she say that, what are they doing, how did that guy get there. One of the main characters tries to commit suicide at the beginning of the movie by kicking a hole in an ice-covered pond, planning on drowning in the ice-cold water. Bad plan and a very awkward scene when his friend tries to save him. It was all downhill from there. No connection to the Shakespeare play whatever. Find another movie.

Who ever directed the party scene must not have never been to a party. They each got their own joint the size of a cigarette . Where were the Mom's pills. Why were they not passing them out? This movie could've been about three gay ,30 year old, high school students, who ran away from home and spent the weekend partying at a cabin in the woods rolling on molly and experimenting with group sex. Instead it was all over the place. They made a gay guy wear overalls....and he was bullied about drawing. Really? His bully was the smallest in the cast at 5'5" and 135lbs. He did intimidate the 6 " 200 pound country boy who had a gun. The casting of the rabbit was Excellent!!! We would not have seen as much of the rabbit had any of the people on this movie ever used a shotgun. The pellets spray and would have peppered that little bunny.

I really wanted to like this movie ... in fact I live for these kinds of movies ... but it was impossible. First, the Romeo and Juliet comparison is not accurate at all. Second, the movie is full of bad and over the top acting. And third the plot, character motivations and actions doesn't make sense at all... it's all a big mess. I'm sad to say this, but dont waste your time with this movie.

I got fifteen minutes in and gave up. I don't think I have ever seen such dreadful and unconvincing acting. Do these people actually have membership of the acting union? If so, they should hand their cards back in right now. There wasn't a single character in the first fifteen minutes whose actor portraying him or her was realistic at all. It's a nasty, spiteful film full of unpleasant characters. Even the gay people shown were not particularly sympathetic. Either bullies, whiny, closeted, they did not make a satisfying backdrop to the film at all. Please don't waste your money on this cheapo production.

The ending spoke a trillion words all at once. This movie did something Ive never seen done before but you have to pay attention and see the characters for thier obviosities not "over the top" comparison. This movie hit home. It rang of realism. Build to climax.
