This movie was advertised in our local paper, so we decided to check it out. The story is a little bare, and missing thrills. There's a lot of Fargo influence for the villains, and the Michigan accents are leaning more towards Minnesota or Canada. The character motivations are somewhat murky, and that can make this story a little difficult to get invested in, but it has its moments.

Went into this movie with no knowledge of the storyline, budget or nothing. Within the first few minutes I realized this was a low budget film so I didn't expect a ton. As the story played out and we were introduced to more characters and their roles I became more interested. Something about this movie was fascinating, rather it be the idea of being on the run and starting over in a small town or rather it be the question of where it leads. I was overall super impressed and would recommend it if you take a liking to low budget, good storyline films. I would watch again and again. Which isn't something I say about many movies.

The two leads were very good. Lead villain pretty hammy honestly. I started to fast forward when he came on. Very annoying. I've visited several times and live near Ann Arbor and no one that I know of in the Upper Peninsula speaks like a character in "Fargo"! Thought some of the script also was too derivative of "Fargo." But not bad overall and fun to see Michigan scenery. It was clever to have a black kid from downstate in the Upper Peninsula. Definitely would stand out. But a smart college kid would know about things like ice fishing I think!

From a Michigander point of view the "michigan accent" is not real. It's a mix of canadian and southern. Not what our accent is. Made us look like we are backwood hicks with no understanding and uncivilized. Maybe should've done some research on our accent and what it is. I can tell ya the yooper people are none to mess with.

From a guy that's from the town that this movie was filmed I can easily say this movie is trash. I'd much rather use this movie film to wipe myself while I'm at my own ice shack. It's a disgrace.

I didn't make it twenty minutes into this movie. The main character was dreadful and the plot uninteresting. The waitress in the diner sounded like she took a wrong turn from Fargo.

Welcome to a movie where every character is woefully miscast. The accents and mannerisms of the locals are overdone, absurd and insulting. Add an annoying soundtrack and those stupid split screen scenes I never saw the point of and you have a mess of a movie you'll be lucky to get halfway through. Main character is an LL Cool J wannabe who has the white girls throwing themselves at him. The villains are so badly portrayed you wish you could slap them through the screen. It amazes me when things this horrendous actually survive editing and make it to a wide audience. The writers owe every viewer an apology and a refund where applicable.

Hey kids let's make a movie. If you can figure out the accents here please pray them. If there's a plot I can't figure it out. Whatever you pay to see this movie feel good that you have supported the untalented.

I really enjoyed this movie. Erin had the sexiest jiggly bits. The only thing I don't understand is why didn't they take her truck in the end?

I'm a Michigander and Yooper. For an independent film this was pretty darn good. People have to remember this is not hollywood money and most actors/actresses are up and coming. All "actors" did very good. And the yooper actors were pretty spot-on. Filming in one of our small towns was great to see - Michigan is quaint and beautiful. The other reviewer said he can't figure out the plot well he may have been doing the meth because the plot is very obvious. The humor intertwined with the the "chase" was good. And especially, if you know Upper Michigan! Kudos and keep going!
