This movie was something special and I really loved it. The characters was good, the actors was good and the whole story truly was amazing! I really recommend people to watch it!

Aaron Johnson plays a very convincing John Lennon. The movie catch from start to finish, and afterwords you want more.

Although it may sound stupid and girly, I first watched this movie purely because I'm a fan of Thomas Brodie-Sangster who plays Paul McCartney in this film, but when I watched it... It's hard to explain what you feel when you watch this movie because there are so many emotions that go through your head. You fall in love with John's cockiness and boldness, and the fact he's really a bit of a mummy's boy and his sensitivity, you cry at the end (no spoilers ;)), and you can so easily laugh the whole way through, and so on. Also considering I grew up with my parents playing Beatles tracks, it's always good to know a bit more about an internationally famous band you basically grew up listening to. One heck of a movie, beautiful acting, emotional (you might have guessed that :D), and a story that never leaves you.

Being a massive Beatles fan probably made me appreciate and enjoy this film a lot more than others who aren't fans of The Beatles. Following John Lennon's teenage years, his relationship with his aunt Mimi who raised him from a small child and his relationship with real mother who enters his life at a very important stage of his teenage years, this film is just absolutely amazing! Aaron Taylor-Johnson portrays John Lennon brilliantly and I personally think, makes the film. Nothing else really needs to be Said, apart from watch it! Beatles fan or not this heart warming comedy set in the great 50's is just a brilliant film which will defiantly put a big smile on your face, no matter what your music taste is!

Everyone has and IS entitled to their own opinion. Mine is that this movie is AWESOME. Yes, there is some "hollywood" added here but all in all it is exceptional. The acting especially. Sure Lennon is the pretty boy here and Macca is a little dough boy but I can overlook these slight inaccuracies, after all, it is a movie, right? Why it is exceptional to me is that, A) it kept me in an upright position the entire time, and B) I was emotionally spent halfway thru (by credit time I was a wreck)and C) the acting by both women was amazing, although I give the edge to the Julia character because I absolutely fell in love with her! God, she is gorgeous! I am not a journalist, writer (obvious), editor, or in the arts so forgive my Brooklyneese street review, not to mention grammar. Just see this movie if you have any heart whatsoever.

*Mentioned in the trailer "Why can't God make me Elvis?" "Because he's saving you for John Lennon" That is so deep, if you love John Lennon, do watch this movie, goose-bump is all you get. I was introduced to Beatles at an early age, their music and lyrics laid a firm foundation in my mind. There are several moments in the movie that are exceptionally brilliant, that feel and the life brings a smile on any Beatles' fan. No Beatles movies will be complete without the first meeting of John and Paul, Nowhere Boy does it well and every viewer can see the revolution in front of their eyes. It is worth watch movie to any music lover. *Spoiler People are confused if the movie will introduce you to any Beatles' concerts or fame. Let me make it clear, the movie is only about John Lennon's mid-teen age and the formation of Quarrymen and barely about the Beatles.

Nowhere Boy tells the touching story of the dramatic life of young John Lennon. In my opinion, Aaron Johnson wasn't the best choice to portray Mr. Lennon, but his performance is the movie is quite good. The film focus on the trouble of Mr. Lennon with his mother and aunt, and the beginning of The Beatles. If you're a fan of the Beatles, and John Lennon, you'll definitely like this movie.
