WOW, was this bad. For some insane reason myself and my fellow class mates were forced into watching this movie in film class. A waste of a week. The movie wastes the talents of Michael Caine, Christopher Reeve, and Carol Burnett. Why, oh why, did anyone say "yes, I'll do this movie" after they read the most boring screenplay ever written. I think I laughed once in this movie and I think it was because I was becoming delirious. This movie was not funny, not smart, and by no means, good. THUMBS DOWN, WAY DOWN.

I grew up on this movie, and am an actress. This is a movie that every want-to-be actor or actress must see.
There is nothing like watching this movie with anyone who has ever done any form of acting on stage. But even if you have not done a day of acting in your life, this will still cause you to split your seams laughing.
Christopher Reeves and John Ritter alone are worth the movie, but you also get the wonderful comedy of Carol Burnett, Michael Cain, and Nicollette Sheridan.
A powerhouse comedy for the ages.

This film probably plays better on stage, but this was still a fun farce and an entertaining look into what happens when a play goes horribly wrong.

I first saw Noises Off years ago, and thought it was THE most hysterically funny film I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of films. The slapstick, the pratfalls, the fast and furious dialogue, the sardines... I love it all. I've lost count of the number of times I've seen it, and I never get tired of it. I unfortunately missed the chance to see a stage production of Noises Off in Melbourne last year, and I'm still kicking myself.

This is an excellent movie by many measures!
It's nice, in an age of flash over substance, to actually see some decent ACTING! Add to that an extremely clever script and you have something enjoyable and humourous.
Granted, the play was better. However in lieu of an excellent production of the play in your home town, the movie is a worthwhile substitute
Granted, not ALL people will like this movie. I don't imagine most of the mind numbed action fans to get their kicks from it. Yet those who appreciate clever scripts and especially those who can appreciate being in a theatrical product will probably love it.

Can't ask for a better cast and a better movie! With big hitters such as Michael Caine, Nicolette Sheridan, Christopher reeves, Mary Lou Henner, Carol Burnett, and many more, the comedy in this movie is nonstop. With fights, pratfalls, and the normal troubles with behind the scenes plays "Noises off" is a one of a kind movie that shows everyone's amazing acting ability.

This movie is a great film, period. Great concept, great cast, great plot. The inherent problem is the fact that most of this humor, though very fresh, is lost on most people. Unless you have acted on stage in some facet, this movie is mere slapstick. I saw this movie when I was younger, before I started acting, and I liked it, but it just seemed kind of shallow. Now that I have some stage under my belt, this movie's humor is mindblowing, because the insanity is just that outrageous. I'm not saying people can't like this movie if they aren't actors, but it helps. What helps this movie as well is the intellect of the humor. Below all the slapstick site gags and bad happenings, the depth of the character development is vast and beautiful, making you really think that these people, in the end, hate each other.
