After seeing Nikki on the roast for Tom Brady I thought she would be great. Unfortunately that is not the case and her SOMEDAY YOUR GONNA DIE comedy special on HBO was awful. What a let down. The no kids into whe t way too long, the jokes were just NOT FUNNY. Period. Fire the joke writer and if that's you Nikki, you're screwed. Cause you're not funny at all. The delivery was ok but the writing was awful. I watched this only because I enjoyed Nikki on the Tom Brady roast and now I know I'll never watch another kne of her shows again. It was just not funny. After seeing Nikki on the roast for Tom Brady I thought this show would be much better, I was wrong..

It's not a comedian's job to be sensitive. However, it felt like in this comedy special, she went for the low blow of shock to make people laugh, and even so the audience response wasn't great. I found her abortion comments distasteful to say the least. If I were a woman actively struggling to have kids, those comments would be even worse. Of course it was hyperbolic, but it still seemed too far to verbalize at all. I understand that comedy is an outlet to examine the self, and it is a career that has to make a living. Just...maybe not all stuff that comes to mind should be written into your set.

Her performance on the Brady roast was good .... for a roast. But her new special is on the other end of the spectrum. She rambles on about kids forever. Beats her perspective to death without getting a real laugh. I mean, her laugh track does work fairly well. If you are looking at witty comedy look elsewhere. It's just bashing-style comedy and facial gestures in order to solicit a laugh. I mean, it will work with the "I need comedy right in front of my face" crowd, but with people who are looking for wit and timing you will not find it here. I honestly thought she would have progressed at this point, but she's going after the obvious observations. Maybe try her next one, but I'll save you the time I'll never get back ...skip.

Nikki Glaser is a very funny comedian that trades off her sexy persona and her sexual openness . This special is very good. It is not her best work, but it has some very funny moments. Glaser is, seemingly, very open and that is her charm. I say seemingly because it is unclear whether she really is the wild, sexually open person she purports to be, or it is just a hysterical character. I am guessing the latter more than the former. There are many cringeworthy moments intentionally caused by her and much like the style she uses in her Roasts. The special is tight and has many call backs and good stories. She is fun to watch.

Look, Haters gonna hate, Conservatives gonna hate, People with a bit of logic gonna love. I cried, I laughed, I had tears in my eyes in the end, it was the best rollercoaster I've ridden in a while now. Nikki is great and deserve more success than she already has. I've enjoyed every second of the show. Those who hate this kind of comedy are going to die very disappointed one day, I feel sorry for them, maybe not. I wish Nikki will do more stand ups or movies soon, I would be first in line to watch them. My 2 cents: watch it more than 1 time, you gonna discover more gems that you missed in the first time you've watch it.

Glaser demonstrates her cutting edge comedy by doing material from ~20 years ago. Speaks like she's done meth, would rather listen to her after she'd done 50+ xanax and a few bottles of wine to wash them down - because she's the "cool aunt", you know - the one you avoid. I'd be super interested to know the production details of this special, credit to the technician dubbing in laughter and cgi-ing the backs of audience heads. I suppose it's cheaper if you hire a theatre just for the day time. On the subject of economics, save yourself some time. Don't bother, you only have laughter to gain. Oh, she talks about her genitalia as well.
