Some friends decide to have a reunion for some stupid reason then people with teddy bear heads start killing them. Night Of The Killer Bears is a silly Thailand slasher and, yes, it's a cliche reunion horror where people reunite, get killed off and a big twist happens which the revelation happens and, well..... We've been down this road a multitude of times with this $#!+. Killer Bears has annoying characters (English dubbing to blame.... Well, actually it may helped it more... I don't know) and the bear people look corny to a tee. But for fans of splatter, you'll be happy to know it is plentiful..... BUT some of it appears to be CGI. So.... That blows. They say it's Terrifier meets Ted. Now if you smoke enough crack and have the worse case of down syndrome, you might be able to see it like that. Sure, WHY NOT? Anyways, I had fun with it regardless of its flaws.

Night of the Killer Bears (2022) is a movie from Thailand 🇹🇭 that I recently watched on Prime. The storyline follows a group of friends who haven't been around each other and after getting back together...they discover why. Meanwhile, as they settle their differences, a serial killer dressed as a bear starts taking them out one by one. This movie is directed by Kanphong Banjongphinij, in his directorial debut, and stars Sananthachat Thanapatpisal (Bad Romeo), Patchata Jan-Ngern (Girl2k), Chanagun Arpornsutinan (2gther) and Panisara Rikulsurakan (The Promise). This is one of those movies with a cliche storyline, annoying characters and a great killer. If you can get past my first two points, you'll enjoy the third one...because the kill scenes in here entertained me a ton. Yes, there's some CGI blood; but the hacking, killing and gore were all top notch. I can't say I loved the conclusion, but I already made a mental note to look past the storyline and enjoy the kills. I definitely found this worth a watch. Overall, I would only recommend this to horror enthusiasts looking for a unique slasher picture. I would score this a 4.5-5/10 and recommend seeing it once.

The production is made in Thailand. It is a what they would consider a comedy-horror without pulling any punches of the horror. It has elements of a cabin-in-the-woods slasher including an early shower scene. The opening didn't make much sense except that it showed us that the sense of humor will be unexpected plot twists and the they love blood and knives. Five adults go to a remote location to get together and talk about or not talk about the death of Kang who dies years ago diving during a storm or something. The man who runs the place is a killer, but not the guy in the Teddy Bear outfit killing people. Things are a bit confusing in the relationships. The film has English dubbing and captioned which don't match. The actors went off script and tossed in a few F-words. Guide: F-words. Breast prop nudity.
