Of course it tries really hard to be funny (and fails quite a few times), but it still seems likable, because it tries to be different. Plus it seems more coherent than some other "gangsta" movies (though that does not mean that much now, does it). The actors at hand, try very hard and sometimes convince and are quite funny.
All in all, the action and the (thin) plot move forward nicely enough. Nothing great, but OK. And while you have glimpses of violence here and there, it's more a comedy than anything else. Still the ending might throw a lot of people of, for being so different, than anything we would expect from a movie like that. But then again, maybe that's exactly what we would/should expect ...

In a summer of action films, and raunchy comedies, it is refreshing to see an action-thriller-comedy like Next Day Air. It stars the very funny Donald Faison as Leo, an NDA worker who accidentally delivers a package belonging to a drug lord to a bunch of pot smoking, unsuccessful robbers. Emilio Rivera is both funny and creepy as the drug lord. Mike Epps and Wood Harris are excellent as the unsuccessful robbers who accidentally get the package. The movie is both thrilling and funny, although it is a bit off center, and someone's thumb gets cut off which was not needed. The movie's final showdown also wears the movie down. It is a very good movie, though. The movie is only about 90 minutes, but it would of been nice if it was 75 minutes, because that final, bloody shoot out was not needed. The movie is still very recommendable, and the cast is top-notch. The movie has a lot of laughs and still makes room for a lot of thrills. Overall, this is worth it, but I wouldn't say it's the work of a perfectionist or the work of a genius, just a pretty good movie.

this movie was a very big disappointment. when i read about it the first time i thought it could be quite funny. the synopsis suggested a crime comedy mix with some nice twists and plenty to laugh about. but i was totally mistaken.
the plot had no real dynamic and all the plot twists were not surprising at all, if you can even call them twists. add to that a bunch of stereotype characters with no depth and personality and you can imagine how captivated i was by this movie. i thank god that the total absence of good jokes and comedy didn't distract me form experiencing this absence of emotion in this great void of boredom.
don't get me wrong. i didn't want to puke during the movie or something like that. it was only after i resurfaced from this sea of dullness that i realized how much of a big waste of time this movie was.

I have seen "Lost In Transit" and I have seen this film (Next Day Air) in a screening and it is funny, face paced and well put together. I did notice the similarities to "Lost In Transit" with the gold watch and the employee's rough housing with the packages but I think that's all in the spirit of what we think shipping companies are doing with our stuff! "Lost In Transit" is more of a Satire film with over the top characters much like a cartoon or comic book that actually works for that particular comedy. "Next Day Air" seems to be a bit more real life or day in the life of the characters whereas "Lost In Transit" the characters are in their own word.

Brody (Mike Epps), Guch (Wood Harris) and Hassie are incompetent bank robbers. Leo (Donald Faison) is a weed-smoking incompetent delivery man who has to beg his mother to keep his job. He delivers a box to the wrong apartment. It turns out to be a box filled with bricks of cocaine. They try to sell them to cousin Shavoo and he promises to come back with the money. Meanwhile Jesus is trying to find his package and assumes that Leo stole it. Jesus and Chita track down the wrong delivery guy Eric (Yasiin Bey).
Everybody is idiotic. Everybody is annoying. Everybody is arrogant. The problem is that I hate a lot of these characters. The biggest problem is Donald Faison because he is the most annoying of them all. He is the one character who shouldn't be the arrogant annoying idiot. He should be the innocent in the lot. The comedy comes from him getting caught up in a situation beyond his control. I want Leo to get killed in the most horrific way possible. Yasiin Bey would have been infinitely more likable as Leo. Mike Epps and Wood Harris are a fun duo. Their part is watchable but I hate most of the rest.

yes, this is one of those movies who shouldn't have been filmed, the only good thing here its a Latin lady which in particular I find hot, apart from that its a waste of time.
the starting its kinda promising, a drug adict worker (who turns to be the son of the supervisor) cant stop smoking weed and at some point this would take the movie to the next level, where he mistakenly delivers a package to a wrong address, then the movie falls deep into a flat story.
there are some laughs yes, but nothing new, don't expect a lot from this movie cause you wont get any.

I'm trying hard not to think all that stuff is right about Mayan doomsday later this year. Over the weekend, I saw a grating 15 minutes of this atrocity (that's all I could STAND) and was sure it's a sign End Times are upon us. "Next Day Air" is stupid. It's loud. It's pointlessly violent. It's an Egyptian soccer match of a movie. In one scene, a character cuts out someone's tongue - and that's the punchline! Hilarious! Someone must tell Yazmin Deliz that no one is sitting around missing Rosie Perez performances; foul-mouthed and screeching just isn't attractive. I'd like to know who gave this piece of crap a green light. Who? Who could hate us so much as to allow this to be made? It earned just over $10 million box office on its release - domestic and foreign - which probably was far under its budget. Many here have noted the movie is unfunny. That description doesn't suffice. "Next Day Air" is anti-funny; it explodes any wit or comedy in comes in contact with.

I liked the movie to an extent. I thought it could of have been more funny and had more action and rising action to the end. I kind of thought it was unrealistic at the how Mike Epps' character missed that guy with the AK47 and how that Mexican killed that black guy. I mean that black guy should of won that knife fight because of his size and strength. Also, their were some parts of the movie where I thought, "wow, that was random", their needed to be explaining to those parts. But overall the movie was OK, not awesome but not very bad. I hope their is another movie like this but with a stronger plot and it's not like 30 minutes long.
