This is one of the Lifetime thrillers that I enjoyed. It did have its flaws, which is always expected in these movies, but they did not seriously affect the whole movie. Brianna Cohen and Revell Carpenter are fairly new to Lifetime movies, and I have seen all their previous appearances. I have somewhat become a fan of theirs. Their acting is quite good and convincing. Now Rib Hills somewhat troubles me. I have yet to see him in a Lifetime thriller where he does not play the bad guy or psycho serial killer. His acting is fairly convincing, although in some instances he overdoes it. I don't know whether it's the directors of these Lifetime movies who like to cast him as the bad guy or he likes to play the parts himself. In any event, I enjoyed this one quite a lot. My only little criticisms are first of all Olivia being so cold and indifferent about their young sister's disappearance when it was clearly her fault for her abduction, because Maddie had asked her to watch her while she went looking for the ball. Plus she got aggressive when Maddie reminded her that their sister was Olivia's responsibility. The other criticism was towards the end when Olivia (Revell) kills psycho and frees her sister Maddie, she does not apologise to her sister for not heeding to her warnings and not listening to her. I thought it would have been a perfect touch for the end of the movie. And yes I will recommend this one and do one of the rare things which is give some stars to a Lifetime movie.

I could not stand the wannabe reporter/sister Maddie in this movie. She was completely disrespectful and rude to everyone. She was the real psycho in this movie. For example-She was absolutely hateful to the female cop who responded to the stuck in the garage call. And when her reporter friend was murdered, no mourning for him. Nope. Just wants to move on and prove SHE'S RIGHT, that's all. Her boss showed the most compassion or common sense of anyone in this movie by firing Maddie the Awful and showing thoughtfulness about the murdered boy's parents. The boss and the convenience store clerk were the only likable characters in the whole movie.

This was a really good scary film, which was a mystery thriller and also horror,. Right up my alley. There were twists. It didn't have any broken storylines but the opening was merely a sad flashback memory of the three sisters as children. The younger sister disappeared in a park while a creep lurked nearby. Many years later the two sisters grown up still traumatised by the loss of their baby sister. It has an impact on their lives, meaning the elder sister is more over protective of her remaining sister. It goes so far as to being paranoid about the men she meets in her life. She's a journalist who wants to protect, not just her sister, but also all the women from a serial killer. An impressive film.

IDK, I usually appreciate when the villain is known, but this movie was so basic. Rib and Lifetime clearly enjoy him as a villain. When was the last time he played a good guy? I think I enjoyed his psycho weatherman and conman with a random Boston accent more. This movie would have been better if Hayden had one face for Olivia and another face for Maddie. He seemed like the kind of nut who would enjoy taunting her and running game on her sister, driving a wedge between them. That was a missed opportunity. This movie fit every stereotype of the "journalist," the boss who doesn't let them run loose, and the redshirt IT guy. Oh and the landlord who bc he wants his rent money and says so, has to be a creep that they look down on. He ended up dying for them. The scenes of Maddie and Jack were so hypocritical. She's so ethical hooking up with a guy she's "investigating." Safety conscious too. I don't like characters like Maddie. Pushy, rude, users, but are always shown in these movies to be right. No matter how off-putting their behavior is. I do appreciate though that the conflict of interest wasn't ignored by the police. That was lowkey surprising. Also glad she got a dressing down from her boss after her "friend" slash colleague died for her. I'm honestly over innocents getting killed for the protags in these movies. Why should a character die and the main get nothing but bumps and bruises? Two men died for these sisters who only used them both for what they could get. These two actresses are popping up in a lot of LMN movies lately. Revell's acting is super stiff for most of the movie, which I guess fits Olivia's unbothered way of living. She does sell me on her terror when she realizes what her fate might be. She was the same way in that nanny movie last year (yes, I use LMN as background noise during the work day). Maddie's actress was decent. This role seemed more appropriate than another movie I saw her in as the mother of a high school student. This movie would have been ten times better if it had turned out like the Podcast Murders. Perhaps a storyline where Maddie had a psychotic break after the kidnapping (and presumed death) of the baby sister. It seemed primed for it, and I would have liked that twist. Something positive: finally in a Lifetime movie, the shadowy, hooded figure is actually not a fake. It's such a pet peeve of mine when they try to trick the audience and use a stuntman or woman that is clearly not the character it's meant to be.if that wasn't Rib, then it was clearly someone with his body type. I actually walked away probably within the last fifteen minutes to do something and ended up missing the movie's end. Decided to watch it all over again so I could review it after a complete viewing. Which probably says something about how gripped I was by the climax? Lifetime movies are graded on a curve, but they've aired better movies than this within the last several months. So it's hard to give it a complete pass. Even if I do like Rib. These sisters are no prizes and the movie telling me they are the heroines is not enough for me to go for it.

Most of the time you can spot the killer from a mile away but in this movie it was original in that sense. There were multiple possibilities of whom the killer might be. It kept my interest that was for sure. It felt like a LM, not sure if it was or not but if you enjoy some LM. Like I do, then this is one of the better movies done in Lifetime form. Beautiful actors and very good acting. Lot's going on so it was never a dull moment. The ONLY aspect for me about this movie was the title, it basically GAVE the movie away and that sucked! It could have been much more with a better title like "Who's The Killer In My Sisters' Life?". Or something MUCH shorter! This movie didn't drag on, it had no long annoying hallway scenes. Although, I also h8 it when they say " Is anyone there?". Directing the killer just where to find them. Other than that this movie was not a waste of time and I would not mind seeing it again.

The wordy title "My Sister's Serial Killer Boyfriend" does not convey the special bonding of the two McIntyre sisters, Maddie and Olivia. Their lives have been haunted by the kidnapping of their baby sister Abigail at a time when they were caring for her in the park. Now, as adults, the older sister Maddie is carefully watching over Olivia when she starts a relationship with a quirky defense instructor. There was not much suspense or any significant twists to the narrative. The best scenes were those with the two sisters. Olivia feels that she wants to break away from her control freak of a sister. But Maddie has excellent instincts and the nose of an investigative reporter. It is clear to her that Olivia is rushing too fast into the relationship with Haden. The screenplay incorporated an interesting detective named Jack. Maddie has met him on a dating site, and their early, wild encounters occur in the bathroom of a bar! But Jack turns out to be of great support to Maddie, and, based on the denouement, he even has long-term prospects in Maddie's life. The film was crisply directed with good locations, apparently around Atlanta. But the most memorable part of the film is the enduring love between two sisters.

This was the usual Lifetime movie storyline of a young woman who's head over heels with a guy whom she doesn't know is a serial killer on the loose. However the sister/mother has suspicions which are confirmed halfway through, *yawn*. If I had a quarter for every time this plot device was repeated, I'd probably have enough money to buy myself a car (maybe a Tesla). The acting and cinematography were dull, The characters were unbelievable, and it would've been a bit better with someone else playing Olivia. I've seen rocking chairs, carved sculptures, and kitchen cabinets that were less wooden than Revell Carpenter's acting. Rib Hillis's role in the movie was no different than all of his other villainous roles, though I originally believed that he was innocent and that there would be some sort of twist. But I learn to not have such high expectations and standards for LMN flicks because they will leave you disappointed. And of course there had to be a point where the psycho trapped the object of his obsession in a place far away from any civilization and no cell service. And the mother/sister/relative had to rescue her. If I had a quarter for every time THAT plot device was reused and repeated, I'd probably have enough money to buy myself a decent, two story house. It's sad that the actors of these films care more about getting paid than actually entertaining their audiences. So they don't even try putting their all into their acting skills. I'm still hoping for 2023 to be the year Lifetime starts turning themselves around and start caring more about quality than quantity. Though like I said in my previous review I shouldn't get my hopes up. I'm not expecting their movies to be the same type of quality and budget as Hollywood produced movies, just, better THAN this! Please?
