oewmjiiii i like this live action. i just finished the s1 of the anime but had no enough time to start the s2 so I decided to watch the live action. the casting was so good and there's a spoiler for its s2 at the end. can't wait!

please add season 2. I am tired of dreaming of how the the man who released the infectious was delta with 😭😭😭😭 it's a nice movie 10/10 I recommend 8❤️🥹

This film is set in an alternative world where high class families have supernatural abilities and warriors fight against the "grotesques", evil spirits that can possess the bodies of humans. A young girl from one of these families is born without any supernatural gifts and is neglected and abused as a result. She is married off to the stern captain of a troop of "anti-grotesques" who is actually good-hearted and she receives kindness for the first time in her life and blooms as a result. Neither is aware that the young woman is the progeny of a family with unique abilities craved by others seeking power and influence. I came to this movie with absolutely no knowledge of the manga and anime upon which it is based. I think they do a good job in laying out the nature of the world in which it takes place. It's interesting to see old fashioned clothes and modern conveniences (like cars) side by side in a fantasy context. The two main actors are very good and the film works because you believe in them and their relationship. It's an odd title (my happy marriage) but apt in that the affection between Kudo and Mia is really the core of the story and what drives the plot forward. By necessity, the action is a bit rushed (though I didn't feel it the first time through). My only criticism is that the climax of the movies is confusing (but still effective) as the screenplay doesn't have time to help us understand exactly what's happening and why. I think fans of the anime might find it a little disappointing but I found it an enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours.

I have never read the light novels, nor watched the anime. I was drawn to watch it from the striking apperance of both the Male and Female leads. I believe that the writer did an excellent job of writing a story line that ebbed and flowed, drawing the viewer into the story and carrying them on an emotional rocky path like someone riding the rapids while white water rafting. I found myself at the edge of my seat during the action scenes willing Kiyoka to succeed and crying along with Miyo when she shed tears. The chemistry between all the players was powerful, especially between Miyo and Kiyoka.

It was a great watch but it would've been very confusing to someone who didn't read the manga nor watched the anime. The sequences of the scenes happened too fast, it was one after another which seemed unnatural at times. If it was created as a short series, we would've been able to see the relationship bloom naturally between the two leads, Miyo with Yurie, Miyo with Kouji, Kiyoka with Goudo, and more. Things wouldn't move too quickly if it wasn't compressed into an almost 2-hour movie. It would be great to properly see how maddening the Saimori family treats Miyo too, just so viewers can intensely hold a grudge against them lol. And lastly, it would've been perfect if the scene between Kiyoka and the Tatsuishi family head was properly emphasized, like seeing Kiyoka's anger towards them capturing his fiancee and everything without things moving too fast. Ren and Mio were perfect for the roles, and I would honestly love to see more of them as Miyo and Kiyoka because their chemistry was amazing. The scene where they went to the city? I wished it was a lot longer because that was so cute and warm. All in all, it was still a great watch but the leads definitely helped me push my negative thoughts about the movie aside 😆

Japanese Movie " My Happy Marriage " is a fantasy melodrama based on a popular light novel. The movie does a great job pacing the story and presenting it wholly, even though the ending needed more time to properly develop, leaving the viewer to believe that there might be a second movie to follow this one. The film also fleshes out the characters, giving them time to properly unfold and giving them enough background to make it easier to sympathize with. Also, the CGI was perfect, without awkward special effects that would have ruined the mood of the movie. Rather, they were nicely arranged along with the action scenes. The costumes were also great. Finally, the performances were enjoyable by everyone in the cast. So, overall, eight out of ten.

The live-action movie was incredibly fast-paced and a million times better than the anime, especially in how it portrayed Miyo as a character. The actress who portrayed her was flawless, as were the rest of the cast. Her performance was outstanding, from her voice to her acting. The cinematography was excellent, and the main cast delivered great performances that remained faithful to the source material, all within a high-energy, action-packed experience. Ren Meguro was such a great choice given his demeanor and looks for the main lead were exceptional. I wish they honed in on Miyos super natural abilities a little more than they did. Else 10/10.
