This film can only be seen by letting go of our logical mind that tries to analyze characters or look for suspense. If you allow your emotions to conduct you, then this film will fulfill you. It's a film that calls on you senses. The vision of beauty, the magical sounds, the loving caress of hands, and even the smell. If smell is one sense that is not yet stimulated in a theater, in this film the evocation is so strong that you smell the sand, the wind, the sea and the perfume of the roses. For Majidi the beauty of the nature and the love between people are the only path to God. Muhammad is an ode to an orphan who had a deep connection with Nature and its Master and became the leader of new religion.

Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) is a good hearted prophet. This trait is shown only at this movie, In the movie (the message 1979) we see Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) only in wars but in this movie we can see the true facts about Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family). Majidi is one of the best director's in the world and this movie is his best one. And I can really say that we can compare this movie with biggest movies in Hollywood, it has a great soundtrack and Cinematography and the most important is that the great story of this movie based on real events there is nothing that director add from himself, all events are pure history even some sentences.

The best, most realistic and most authentic film about the Prophet Muhammad and the religion of kindness Islam. The film may have shortcomings in few cases. And have shortcomings in terms of special effects that are acceptable according to Iranian facilities. This film without any intention and purpose and without a specific purpose made. And will not to say undermine about other religions. This is to show the true face of Islam and the Prophet Muhammad. In the film, A.R.Rahman musician and composer (who has two-time winner and five-times nominee of the Academy Award (Oscar) and he is popularly known as the man who has redefined contemporary Indian music) Is composer of this film. As well as Vittorio Storaro (the award- winning cinematographer who won Oscars for "Apocalypse Now (1979)", "Reds (1981) "and" The Last Emperor (1987)") is cinematographer of this movie. Finally, I invite all people of the world to see this movie and if they were interested about Islam and the Prophet, I demand to research about this religion and Prophet in credible sources. Thank you for reading this comment

Beautiful movie.
A story of love and pain,of hope and fear,of life and death and of family,it's values and traditions.
The creator of this universe protected the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) from the early childhood.
In this movie young Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is shown minus his face, that point could create some controversy. So be aware of this fact before watching the movie.
I do cry at few occasions and smile when the small kid was named as "Muhammad"(PBUH).

One thing was so surprising to me that the massive amount of publicity was granted to the movie; after all it made up my mind to watch the movie at the theater. I want to start with good impulses. First of all I loved the music. The music-styling and composition was impressive; it almost captures the archaic and epical cadences of an original oriental-roman style. I should mention that the custom design was sth that was giving a dangerous quality to the movie.
Actually, I expected much more battle scenes, because of the challenging and hostile waves of the first period of the Islamic history. Special effects was effected and terribly handled. The make-ups was not very detailed.
I hesitated there were some major flaws in the plot itself. At the first impression, it seemed that the connection between the editing and the screenplay was infant with no sophistication; retelling some independent events with a clumsy attempt to make sense of the sequences.
If overlooked, following and understanding the Mohammed's (PBEH) character from the movie was totally perplexed me: Sentimentality was sth rampant throughout the movie, the PLOT. Sometimes evoking a feeling of deception. As Armstrong says: "Their scripture, the Qur'an, gave them a mission: to create a just and decent society, in which all members were treated with respect. The political well- being of the Muslim community was, and is, a matter of supreme importance." But this supreme importance was depicted as some miracles and superstitions; even the prophet himself was illustrated as an angel descended from heavens! The movie could have a cultural consequences to introduce the real Islam, but it seems that it missed the opportunity.

"Muhammad: The Messenger of God" is a fantastic movie that shows a different face of Islam prophet include the real facts of his life. In this time which in some extremist groups such as Alqaedah, Daesh and Bukuharam are killing people under mask of Islam, these art works can show the world people that real Islam is not like them. Real Islam is the religion of peace and friendship. The good actors, visual effects and 3D sound of movie are other strengths of the movie. Congratulates to Majid Majidi and other movie factors. I strictly recommend watching this movie. My recommendation is not only for all Muslims, but also for anyone who is looking for the right.

Very boring, typical religious movie. I just couldn't finish it, I turned it off the first 16 mins.
The Persian language was annoying, the scenes were too long.

I am big fan of Majid Majidi. I started enjoying this movie. But I had to quit because of that boy. Who the hell is he?!!! Why the director has to show a boy impersonating the Prophet (SAW). He doesn't speak, doesn't show his face... okay I understand that but he is walking, his size is visible, his hands are visible blah blah blah... !!!
Is that allowed? I'm not sure of it. But my current understanding says it is not. Obviously, the director is a Muslim and a servant of Allah, so am I. Majid Majidi must be knowledgeable. Enlighten me of that knowledge please.

I saw this movie with my wife in public release The film was meant to convey pure love. I found the answer to my question (what is the true love?). Love Amina to Mohamed. Love Abdulmotalleb to Muhammad. Love Abu Talib to Muhammad And the mercy of Muhammad to the people. The composition of the colors are great. And makes the film feel good pass. Soundtrack perfectly matched. The figures correspond with the Arab race. And light well meaning has helped. It reduces the difference between Sunnis and Shiites And remind to them that all who believe in a one religion Recalls that have left bleeding and should be liked by others
To all those who want to understand the meaning of true love, I recommend this movie to see.
