Mr. Nanny aint that bad. Who doesnt like Hulk Hogan. If you dont believe that this movie is a comedic jewel watch the scene were Burt(Mr. Jefferson, movin' on up) try to show the little boy how to defend himself against bullies. When Burt pulls a 3ft lead pipe from his pant leg, well lets say that I couldnt stop laughing for days. That one scene effected me in ways that a still felt today, years later. Infact, I'm still laughing.

Hulk Hogan gives the big screen another shot in this terrible little film that was thrown together in a pinch for some quick revenue. The former wrestling super-star decides to take a job as a bodyguard to protect an important man's young children. It seems that the man is being threatened because of a top-secret microchip that some unknown person wants. The typical insanity takes place in this mess that avoids the turkey due to Hogan's screen charisma and nothing else. 2 stars out of 5.

'Mr. Nanny' rides on the firm shoulders of Legendary Wrestler Turned Actor, Hulk Hogan, who despite being reduced to silliness, plays it sportingly & energetically. 'Mr. Nanny' Synopsis: A former professional wrestler is hired to be the bodyguard/nanny for a couple of bratty kids whose inventor father is being stalked by a rival. As a film, there is hardly anything remarkable here. Its like watching a low-budgeted version of the Vin Diesel hit The Pacifier, but in totality, this early 1990's flick might appeal to kids. There are a few laughs here, which frankly, are its only appealing moments. But Hogan is game here. He plays it to the gallery & even though he can't act too well, he still manages to give a sportive turn as Mr. Nanny. On the whole, Only if you love Hogan, watch it.

mr. nanny is another hulk hogen movie. which means it's gonna be bad. but it's not a very,very bad movie. i laughed twice in this movie. at parts i thought was funny not bad parts. but this is a perfect movie to make fun of,and laugh a lot at things that are not meant to be funny,and it's not hogen's worst movie. i give mr. nanny ** out of ****

This movie is SO much better than the Vin Diesel movie "The Pacifier." Sure, it was funny to see a serious action star (the one from the very first "xXx" film) get in a big mess with several wacky children, but "Mr. Nanny" takes the cake as a very funny "man of the house" type of film! Why? Because of Hulk Hogan (or the American Tor Johnson, as I like to call him)! The DVD cover looks funny; and the movie is really funny, also. So people who like "The Pacifier," give up on that movie and come watch something more funny and more decent (if you know what I mean): "Mr. Nanny!" Oh, and don't forget a movie that goes an entire decade before this movie: "Mr. Mom!" Good stuff, they are!

It angers me when films like this get such low ratings. I mean if your expecting an oscar winning film with hulk hogan the you can get to mars. This film is enjoyable to watch when your young and quite fun to watch when your a teenager as well as it brings back childhood memories. I was looking at the ratings for another childhood favourite - "ghost dad". i mean why can't people just enjoy the film and if you don't like it then quite simply change the channel!! Its not that hard a thing to do. Hulk Hogan is a funny guy to watch as a wrestler and as an actor and i think it is unfair that films with him in it are rated so low cos a lot of people enjoy his work. So every smart ass reviewer can just take him in the right context or not watch anything by him if they expect him to actto an oscar winning standard. Anyway i've had my little rant, i love films like this!

Whilst I didn't enjoy Mr. Nanny as much as Suburban Commando (released in 1991) it was still a decent enough film. It was a comedy film and Hogan is quite good at comedy. Hogan isn't a bad actor either-after all we know wrestling is acting and Hogan's had plenty of experience in that. The film was fairly entertaining and there were some good scenes in it although the kids did tend to get on my nerves at times. It's a good film which I am sure most people would enjoy if they are in the right mood.
