Mahendra Aggarwal is a "failed" cricketer, who lost his chance to get selected and also has failed to impress his disapproving father. He works at his father's sports shop but is unable to make an identity of his own. His marriage is arranged with Mahima, a doctor by profession and despite his father's marketing, it is Mahendra's honesty that wins over Mahima. Soon, Mahendra learns that Mahima too is a crazy fan of cricket like he is and she is also a talented cricketer, like he once was. As he decides to make her into a cricketer, what does this journey throws at the couple and will Mahendra realize the real reason for his failure in cricket? Will he lean from it enough to not let his relationship fail and support Mahima the right way, forms rest of the story. Mr & Mrs Mahi was indeed a painful watch, because of the writing alone. The decision to downplay the game itself and the generic screenplay with an overdose of melodrama, brings it down big time. The screenplay itself is outdated and after the initial 30mins, fizzles out entirely. There's barely anything the actors can do when the writing is this basic. It could've worked probably if the drama was well balanced out. Instead, it resorts to the same gimmicks and fails to establish the couple's love story firmly. What we get is individual scenes that explain the characters and their preferences, rest all emotions are conveyed only through dialogues. The big scene with the mother and son is again filled with dialogues, dragging the scene out when the mother's smirk alone had a deeper impact. Technique requires training along with motivational words, but here it's just words that does the trick and one cannot take that seriously.

The trailer of Mr & Mrs Mahi did it dirty by giving away too much plot. Trailer single handedly ruined the experience for many. If you're deciding whether to watch it, skip the trailer. There are many negative reviews but if uou watch it without any expectations, you'll find it very captivating and heart warming. The acting of lead actors is pretty good, although it takes time to accept Jahnvi because she looks so polished (not her fault) that she looks out of place in the beginning portions. But few minutes into the film, her acting and no-make-up look makes her character believable. Rajkumar gave his best, like always. The interaction between him and his mother in the film was one of the highlights. This is one more good film from Jahnvi after Gunjan Saxena.

This type of stories never old because each and every person have igo problem. Movie based on igo and jealousy. It's very dangerous when we jealous with our family member. In simple words it's about how to come out with that type of situation when we feel jealous with some one, how to deal with that? Acting wise Rajkumar Rao doing superb, when he act you can feel those emotions who come to his face. Janhvi Kapoor good , Kumud Mishra type cast that type of roles. Jareena wahab role shot but most important for movie. Story is well written, direction is also decent. At the end we can watch once and like too.

Great message. It reinforces the idea that true fulfillment comes from inner happiness, not public recognition. It's deeply emotional and all the actors gave their 100%. I would be surprised if this movie doesn't receive the recognition it deserves. While Indian cinema faces challenges, some creators are determined to deliver their best. This film proves that a good script and talented acting are all you need to produce a quality movie, no need for foreign locations, songs, dances, or other conventional Bollywood elements. The dedication and passion shine through in every scene. It's a must watch if you thing you are putting too much energy to impress others.

If you want to see a really good movie with your family, and also be inspired by it, then this is it! Why the hate, guys? It is a movie with family values and faith & trust between couples which is based on the background of cricket. So if you don't like cricket, don't watch it, period. This movie is not for everyone. In fact, any movie cannot be made for everyone's taste! Dharma Productions and Sharan Sharma, the Director, have done a great job, in making a clean, no-nonsense movie. Thankfully they have kept religion out of it, and also, there are no long shots of mosques etc..you know what I mean 😜 I cannot understand why sometimes people go to great lengths to unnecessarily criticize a good, well made movie, with great family values. What's the point? But, they will enjoy is a Jawan, Pathan, Animal..etc with their senseless & brainless bang bang! Hey, don't get me wrong, I am not against big budget block busters, they have their time & place & they have their budgets! They make it happen. But, if we don't come out and see & show our support for good family values movies, then all these production houses will not make such good movies and only make mindless movies! So, with that out of the way, let me say that this movie is great, every actor is chosen wisely and they have all done a wonderful job! All are polished artists and they have delivered. The surprise package is our Zareena Wahab Ji! Good to see you again, Ma'am, you nailed your character! I read a review where someone who "has" to be an expert cricket coach of State, or National level, or maybe he/she is from International cricketing level.. as that person has given 'expert comments' in the review..something like, 'the characters chosen don't have cricketing bodies.' Wah! What an observation!! (Kamaal ka diya! Jab Aap ka 'Hero' dus/bees admiyon ko ek saath thook deta hai, tab aap kuch kyon nahi bolte? 😜) Jokes aside, this is a good movie with a very good moral. Wherever (world over) family values among family members and love between couples are cherished, this movie should be watched! Go for it, you will not regret!

Who ever made this movie should be banned.. neither Love story nor motivational story aur khel se toh dur dur tak matlab nahi.. please don't ever try to make movie like this. At least some love story you can put because nobody is going to get motivated seeing this.. Loser hero third grade story line.. it has to banned please requesting everyone to watch it is waste of time. Not a single scene that make you feel this is a movie.. pls comment genuine review and don't promote bakwas movie to mis guide viewers.. anyone can tell me why this movie is worth i take my review back.. pls don't watch this.
