Well, I can't lie here and say that I was expecting a whole lot from writers and directors The Snygg Brothers for this 2022 thriller titled "Monsters in the Closet". Why? Well, everything was just screaming low budget here. But still, as I hadn't already seen it, I opted to give it a chance. And lets just be honest here, you are not in for any grand award-winning movie experience when you sit down to watch "Monsters in the Closet". And yeah, "Monsters in the Closet" is every bit as low budget and low key as you would expect it to be. However, the movie had a peculiar charm to it, and it was that particular low budget and amateurish feel that made "Monsters in the Closet" a watchable and sort of enjoyable movie experience. Yup, "Monsters in the Closet" is one of those low budget movies that actually are so bad that it becomes fun to watch. The movie has an abundance of things to make you laugh while you watch it, from the dubious acting performances, hilariously bad special effects, sound effects that sounded like something from a 1990s computer game, and just sheer, downright goofy campiness. Now, "Monsters in the Closet" is not a movie that will appeal to a wide general audience, as you must really appreciate low budget and B-movies to be enjoying this one. I wasn't familiar with the cast ensemble in this 2022 movie, but I will say that it definitely looked like the actors and actresses were having fun participating in making this thriller become reality. And it was that particular devotion to the art of making a movie that lifted up the movie a notch. My rating of "Monsters in the Closet" lands on a four out of ten stars.

Nothing is as painful as seeing a good book make for a terrible movie. I got to love making books terrible from the Agatha Risen series that came out of Britain. These things are supposed to be terrible. It adds to the imagination and leaves room to think and imagine how it would be. I mean like really think about it. Who gives facial expressions in books or how many times does the reader know exactly what a type of machine gun or tank sound like? Monsters in closet does exactly that pretty well without giving away too much and letting the viewers mind stray or not be led too much. Its great. Sorry if CGi and graphics is what you are looking for wont find it here. Its left to your mind to do the hard work.

To me, this is one of those rare movies. After I downloaded it, I watched about 10 minutes then deleted it just to be sure I don't accidentally start watching it again. It seems only tools the creators (and I'm stretching that term to the breaking point) had were gore and vomit, repeated ad nauseum. This isn't horror; it's a gross-out fest.

This was just horrible. I can't even describe how I feel right now. Awful in every area possible. No redeeming qualities. Only giving 1-star, as that's the minimum I can give. I'm going to start a crowdfunder, to force IMDB to allow reviewers to give zero stars...because giving 1-star as a minimum, implies the movie had something worthy...and this isn't always the case.

The story about how we tuned into dead meat or in a more metaphysical term zombies. A home/amateur-made horror anthology that takes you through the register of ''we move straight on'' zombriery, from the archtypical chronic arthrithis moving parkinsonal huntingtonians lepralibertarians, to the hilarious couple renovating their house while being deterioratingly in love with eachother( this part makes it a four and affordable to watch), but allover its moviemaking that every military base medical department crew or aiseeyu unit couldve made using fake masks of wounds and bloody bandages. Filmtechnically its a poutpourie of glitches and cheap trix that the seasoned sausage of gorecorians have seen before a film for the gore and vomit lovers, not so much for a grumpy old man.

Well....how low a budget does a film have to be before it becomes awful? Well this film hits that mark. Woeful acting, poor filming, bad make-up, not worth watching.

This has to be some of the worst acting I have ever seen! I thought things might improve after the first ten minutes but things seem to go from bad to worse very quickly and I had to give up on this after only 15 minutes, do not bother going that far.

When famous horror author Raymond Grant dies under mysterious circumstances, his daughter returns home - oh man, how many times do I have to tell horror movie characters to never go back home and never settle affairs and never try to get any answers - to investigate his death. Jasmin learns that her father wasn't just writing about black magic, he was using it to finish his new book. And when the audiobook gets played, all manner of creatures emerge into our world. This story forms the story around several other shorter tales that play out in this anthology. In "Please Kill Me Again," a woman (Denyse Arlene Hollis, who co-wrote the story) is bitten by zombies and then decides that she wants to be killed by a human so she doesn't have to live in that undead body. "Home Improvement" shows what happens when Tian and Zeke ( Luke Couzens and Carmilla Crawford) can't agree on a plan to fix up their new home with potentially horrifying results. "The One-Percenters" is about just how far the rich will go to cover up a crime - even a camping trip with numerous people isn't safe. Finally, "Frankenstein's Wife" is about a man accidentally killing his wife and bringing her back again and again until she's happy. All horror anthologies - even the best ones - have their highs and lows. This one has many more highs though, which is more than I can say from the majority of the unconnected horror portmanteau movies that get sent out way. The connective story and writing by The Snygg Brothers makes this one a winner.
