Despite the other reviews, I think this movie wasn't as bad as it was described to be. It had a good moral to it and I, personally, really liked it. However, the one thing I'd change about it is: The clothing. Don't get me wrong, Mattel is amazing with the outfits, especially when it comes to monster high but this wasn't it. The makeover they did was quite disappointing when looking at the potential of Mattel. To add on, they completely changed Clawdeen's skin colour! Nobody else's, just her. They did my girl dirty and the fact that no one seems to be acknowledging it is horrible!

This film is really different from any other Monster High one! And this makes it intriguing! Love the plot!

Don't bother watching this movie. It's awful and doesn't deserve to be a part of this series. I've seen a lot of terrible Monster High movies, but this one was the absolute worst. The new characters are awful and not pretty. Plus, Posea is barely in the movie and Gil served no purpose. The voice acting for Lagoona was bad. The story was dull and the whole idea with Lagoona being afraid was not her character at all. Also, Toralei was an awful addition to this one. This was just a disappointment to the franchise.

I'm actually surprised so many people in the fandom dislike lagoona, I liked her up until this movie. Her personality is so annoying in this movie, they changed her hair texture and model but why? She looks so bad in this movie. Also why is Claudeen purple and why was she the only one who changed colors???? I had a big mermaid phase when I was younger so you'd think I'd like this movie but no, it's a total flop. Kinda seems like they slapped it together to sell the toys which I'm pretty sure would've sold just as well if not better without this movie.
