The movie has the worst VFX and dialogues I've seen in a while. Seems like all the budget went to Akshay Kumar, who in turn adds nothing expect but his name to the movie. The movie has needless dramatisation. The characters are bland and cliche. Acting is looks forced a lot of time and it's digital to relate to the characters I am not sure about the factual accuracy as there are characters just trying to waste time instead of trying to save any lives. The real story could have been quite straightforward with tram but they had to try and make it interesting, so made it a cesspool of drama Typical Bollywood mess.

Sameer lodaya The content was very strong here only thing needed was a hard thumping execution Akshay was wasted here with his bad get up of a sardarji he has offered nothing new despite he played very strong character in AIRLIFT which was also a execution content driven film The movie missed strong dialogues, goosebumps scenes, tearful scenes, songs, back ground scores, energetic vibes and all other elements required for a execution film I know it is very easy for us just to press alphabets and write reviews a filmmaker knows what he goes through to make a film but trust me this is just a kind information sharing to get a better one next time.

Extremely poor execution. Confused direction with distracting camera work Poor lighting. Terrible vfx/cgi-cartoonish. Great talent like Kumud Mishra, Pawan Malhotra and Dibyendu Bhattacharya all appear caricatures of their true potential because of poor direction. The timing of release was perfect with the tunnel incident at Uttrakhand just a week ago. Jingoist as well vis-a-vis Railway men released recently. Also as an afterthought, 'Rayban' was officially launched in India in 1992 - a goof. Parineeta who??? The film could have well done without her and that one song. Better screenplay and dialogues would have helped.

Now let’s get straight to the point. I don’t think anyone can dispute that this is a well made film and the director definitely knows his art form. All the actors have done justice to their roles and I must say they have been well casted for the characters. The reason why this film has failed miserably at the box office is because Akshay Kumar is doing way too many films and the content of these films are not very consistent so that definitely leads to brand devaluation. The audience doesn’t rush to the theatre anymore for him and that’s why this film has suffered. If the main lead was Aamir then the box office story would have been completely different. All in all a decent watch when it shows up on OTT which should happen very soon.

Mission Raniganj is based on the coal mine in Raniganj where many miners got trapped when water gushed into the mine killing a few even . How a Sikh named Jaswinder Gill managed to rescue them in record time using a first time in India technique is the plot of this completely ignored poorly promoted film. The story no doubt is interesting by default. Any story based on such intense rescue missions which are basically race against time are always interesting. It's just the way these stories are presented. The first half actually felt pretty average with pretty average camera works (fast forward camera works that amateur directors mostly use). The villagers and miners talking felt like some serial or skit going on. However , as the interval arrives, the film starts to come back to form. The second half is where things get really interesting and tense where we are shown a timer as Jaswinder races against time to rescue the survivors. This is where we are introduced the new method of rescuing miners from underneath is explained. Also not the water, but another deadly factor forces Jaswinder to speed up everything (watch the film to find it) . Many hurdles also are shown , all these factors make the second half and tense and worthy watch. The VFX is pretty bad, not even below average. The gushing water has such bad VFX , it literally pricks your eyes like thorns. Clearly no budget was allocated for VFX (a problem with most Indian films). The miners performance could have been more grounded. Their performance is way too over the top that at one point their shouting and screaming in bihari was getting on my nerves. Introduction of negative characters just for the sake of making the film more interesting is okay but should have been fleshed out better. The negative characters which include Dibyendu Bhattacharya felt cliched and just added with lazy writing in the film. As i mentioned before, I am not a fan of the often used fast forward camera work used in the film. It gave the film a lower grade feel. Just a personal opinion, yours could differ, you may like or not bothered with this. Also, the setting of the disaster was too rushed . A bit of time taken to set up the disaster would have created a greater impact. While Akshay Kumar and kumud Mishra were in fine form in the film, Pareeniti was an unnecessary addition just there for the money. Talented actors like Rajesh Singh and Dibyendu are wasted . No songs in between the film is a big plus point and hence these things don't hamper the screenplay . The only thing that hampered the screenplay sometimes in between was Pareeniti calling Akshay in between the tense situations. Overall, a flawed yet decently engaging film that should actually be watched to know about Jaswinder Gill . It's a shame that this film was not promoted at all and hence suffering at the box office.

Mission Raniganj is high on emotions with a gripping screenplay in the second half. The first half of the film tests the patience of viewers but it gains momentum in the latter half. The film becomes intense in the last 30 minutes and gives you several clap-worthy and nail-biting moments. The cinematography deserves applause and the evacuation scenes were shot well. The execution and storytelling were not able to do entire justice to this remarkable plot. The film's most significant drawbacks are poor VFX, weak writing in the first half, and average dialogues. Also, it gets unnecessarily loud in a few portions and the antagonist characters were not written well. Akshay Kumar delivers a sincere performance and portrays the real-life hero Capsule Gill's character with full conviction. Parineeti Chopra was decent in her limited role. Jameel Khan, Varun Badola, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya shine in their roles. Other noteworthy performances were given by Sudhir Pandey, Pavan Malhotra, and Rajesh Sharma. Ravi Kishan, Kumud Mishra, and other supporting actors were just fine on their part. Direction 3/5 Acting 3/5 Dialogues 2.5/5 Story 3.5/5 Screenplay 3/5.

Mission Raniganj appears to be a highly anticipated film that blends genres in order to attract a wide audience. The narrative is fascinating and engaging because it combines action, history, and drama. The story's emphasis on the difficulty and risk of excavating makes it a compelling account of actual events. There is a palpable feeling of urgency and suspense around the rescue of the 65 trapped miners. Parineeti Chopra and Akshay Kumar are playing the key roles in the Akshaya Parineeti Chopra and the Akshay Parineeti Superstar. Tinu Suresh Desai, a skillful director recognised for producing engaging storylines, is in charge of the movie.....
