Seems all the bogus / paid high reviews keep reporting all the honest low ones for deletion. It speaks volumes when the filmmakers don't even have faith in their own production to resort to such blatant tactics trying to trick viewers into watching this nonsense. Writer / director TJ Noel-Sullivan should maybe take the money he's paying for these bogus reviews and put it towards film school. So I suggest y'all keep checking back to make sure yours isn't gone and downvote all the bogus high ones.

This was laughably bad. A fifth grade drama class could write, produce, direct and act better than this time wasting production. Think of the worst "made for TV" movie you've seen, and this is much worse.
The lead actor was unbelievable and annoying. Then you have an ending that felt like everyone just gave up. It had had no value at all. It was as if the writers got stumped and just quickly wrapped it up with an ending that made no sense. It ends with the main character learning nothing from the experience and goes on through his life as a shady character, constantly trying to convince his friends to risk it all for him.
There were many other details and plot holes that just didn't make sense. It's just sloppy writing and directing, and I'm baffled how they even got the funding to make this nonsense.

This movie is bad,
that being said, the story wasn't all bad, the actors and characters were aight (Main ones).
And then there was everything else, it looked fake, it felt fake and even smelled fake. If you had to make this movie with a high school degree in Eastern Europe with the same budget it would have been better.
If you replaced the racist white guy villain with deuce bigalow it would have been better.
Whoever wrote the main character, I hope it is based off of someone you knew, because it was painful o watch you throw away a nice cool lovely character into the dumpster. Make him smart of charismatic at least.

Great performances from the entire cast! Me and my family got to watch this in theaters and just now on Prime and it still hits the same!
I didn't expect to laugh as much as I did, considering it's a heist film, but there were so many comedic elements that were in the film and the lead actor nailed each moment!
One of my favorite back and forth moments are the scenes that have the boss, Tom in it and any of the characters he's acting against. He has a sarcastic element that plays so well on screen and often times through his scenes with his Uncle or Ricky, each of them leave me with a chuckle every time.

I loved this movie!
I was laughing and nervous from where it was about to drift to next! Literally on the edge of my seat rooting for the three friends not get caught.
It was funny, thrilling and moving all in one, but I really want to highlight the score in this film. The music really is a hidden character in this project as it elevates the film to new heights.
Moments where the stakes are risen, the score instantly increases heightening the feels of the movie. I really can't stress that enough in watching multiple films with a bad score. Love it, love it love it. Can't wait to have another watch party and rewatch Midas all over again, y'all just might need a sequel!

When I first watched the trailer of Midas, I was like, "Okay, here we go." Often times, moves, especially heist movies can be clichés, take away the guns, violence and action and you're looking at a cheesy movie with cliches and common tropes. However, that is not the case with Midas!
Midas in context has an intriguing plot with a well-rounded cast that amplifies the dialogue from the film. It's also shot beautifully, showcasing the beauty of the city Hartford and and all it has to offer.
I thoroughly enjoyed the film and was surprised at the quality and how this film was pieced together. Bravo to the amazing director for a groundbreaking story and a great introduction to a wonderful cast.
Midas is a wonderful thrill to watch and definitely worth a watch!

Give the Director, Writers, Actors their 10's because MIDAS was an excellent film to watch!
Captivating, compelling and had me glued to the screen from start to finish. Starting with the cast, the lead actor, Ricky has the charisma of a Montgomery Clift. He brilliantly carries this film with his tenacity, wit and his tactful ability to interchange between comical and drama-filled moments so effortlessly.
Along with the co-stars. Suni and Vick- the relationship between these three really keeps you tuned into the entire film. I also loved the representation in highlighting different cultures and the diversity with Suni wearing this beautiful Sari in the ballroom scene.
The director did such a beautiful job shooting this film and highlighting the such beautiful shots of the city as well as some dynamic shots that I hadn't quite seen before in films such as this.
To conclude, Midas was an absolute joy to watch and I can't wait to watch it again!

I am completely dazzled by Midas, a film that not only meets but exceeds the highest expectations of modern cinema and I mean that in full transparency.
At the heart of this cinematic marvel is Laquan Copeland, who delivers an astounding performance as Ricky. Copeland's portrayal is a masterclass in emotional depth and intensity, capturing the complexity of a man whose ambition can turn into his greatest downfall. His nuanced performance anchors the film and adds layers of gravitas to the already compelling narrative.
Preet Kaur's role as Suni is nothing short of mesmerizing. Kaur brings a powerful, emotional resonance to her character, portraying a woman caught in the crossfire of Ricky's ambitions and the ensuing chaos. Her performance is both delicate and fierce, perfectly balancing vulnerability with strength. Kaur's chemistry with Copeland creates an on-screen dynamic that is both electric and satisfying. My favorite scene would have to be the bathroom scene between the two.
Federico Parra shines as well, portraying Victor, Parra's portrayal adds a layer of moral ambiguity and depth to the film, making his character's journey both fascinating and a joy to watch. His subtle performance complements the film's thematic richness and provides a crucial counterpoint to Copeland's relentless ambitions.
Sullivan's direction is nothing short of visionary. His ability to blend the grandeur of health insurance agencies and the intrigue with the intimate struggles of the characters results in a film that is both grand in scope and deeply personal. The cinematography is striking, with every frame meticulously crafted to enhance the film's thematic depth and emotional impact. The use of color and light reflects the shifting moods of the characters and the dramatic evolution of the story, creating a visually stunning experience that is as compelling as it is beautiful.
The film's score also deserves praise with a strong opening at the beginning of the film.
Midas is more than just a film; with its sharp dialogue and thought-provoking themes, it keeps the audience engaged from start to finish. The film's pacing is flawless, weaving together intense action with moments of introspection and philosophical reflection.

This film was surprisingly good! I loved the story and plot. To bring about topics like the unfairness in the healthcare industry and combine this with the heist genre in a new, cool and enticing way was exciting to see.
The main actor is what really drives this story. As a viewer, you really felt the complexities and the intense moments build throughout his performance, with a dose of charm added to it!
The supporting cast as well has a great chemistry overall that really makes you root for this trio in spite of the crazy situations they're putting themselves into.
Overall, while the script could use a few more tweaks, the leading actor and supporting characters do a great job in bringing this heist film to life! Definitely worth a watch!

The script for this attempt at a movie was glitchy, substantively void, just so incredibly bad, it leaves you utterly perplexed as to whether or not TJ Noel-Sullivan has actually ever been to a writing class?
The acting, if you are generous enough to call it acting, was absolutely horrific as well. Where did they find this crew? The worst casting director...IN THE WORLD put together this crackpot team of folks who will clearly never work again after this blunder of a film. Or perhaps the Writer/Director himself put this crew together from some Craigslist ad respondents?
The story is so poorly written and acted it was painfully difficult to get through half of this "movie".
Poor writing. Poor directing. Poor Casting. Poor EVERYTHING.
Do yourself a solid favor by giving this joke of a film a pass. You'll be thankful you did.
