I think it describes quite well the contradictory behavior some women have when they are wounded inside.

Laia Costa is a joy to watch in this movie. You should set your expectations before watching though. Although the setting is the Appalachian Trail, this isn't a movie about hiking the Appalachian Trail. Rather, it is a dialog driven character study of "Bluebird" and "Lake" as the encounter each other on the trail. As their relationship develops and grows more complicated, you find yourself rooting for one or the other.

A flawed script is my suspect for its non-victory.
I usually like hiking movies because of the variety in charectors and the scenery of the trails. This movie definitely not delivered the later one for sure. But, I was able to pick two main good charectors, but the film didn't evolve those charectors much.
One good script could easily make it interesting with philosophies that can be assigned with the charecters. To me, the two main characters were interesting in the way they presented their philosophies, but it's sad that they couldn't get to evolve.

I really enjoyed this film featuring Laia Costa, who is arguably one of the most talented female actors working today. It's a raw and real look at a man and woman who serendipitously come together while hiking the Appalachian trail. Laia plays Bluebird, a tormented woman looking to reclaim her identity while becoming emotionally connected to Lake, played by Thomas Mann, while hiking alone in the Appalachian wilderness. As chemistry develops, Bluebird works through her demons while Lake pursues her with real and honest feelings of love. Ultimately it becomes a voyeuristic exercise for viewers to experience emotional intimacy on a trail hike with an incredibly beautiful and complex woman.

Time waster and not the good kind....too bad really, I like Laia Costa allot, especially in Victoria which is an amazing and entertaining film but this snooze does not entertain.

I have always been fascinated by the thur hiking on the Appellation trail. I was hoping for some "Into The Wild" Chris McCanddless style scenes. Time I will never get back wasted...

This was 86 minutes of my life I can't get back. The only reason I gave it a 1 rating was the song about the sound of you walking away. Great song, not so great movie.

What a fantastic independent movie. It's a dialogue-based movie that really hits you in the heart. The acting was excellent and this movie made me relate to the dynamics of brief relationships that often come and go. These bad reviews are hard to read. Not every movie needs to be about a pointless superhero with magical powers.

I've seen better acting and heard more interesting dialogue in elementary school productions.
