This movie felt like an amateur production from the beginning. Jocelyn Panton lacked polish. Some of the acting and much of the dialogue was just off.
Giles Panton was OK. I'm surprised that this real life married couple didn't come off better.
The premise is a slight twist on impersonating the successful or famous boss. In this case, who in the world thought this would end well?
I thought Colin was a little too emphatic about saving jobs in Cassidy's company.
There's a secondary romance with Kendra and Arturo.
The conflict caught me by surprise. It's almost worth sticking with it that long. It gets a bit complicated.

It felt like the main actress was reading her lines. I can live with some things not being realistic, but a lot of the story just didn't make sense. So she has to get a new phone - people rarely get new phone numbers in modern times. And phone companies don't reissue numbers in a matter of days. The designer needed to get away, so she cancelled her phone service? And the number just happens to go to a wanna be designer.
Then the star gets her big break designing clothes that could make her career, but she also has to plan the big party, although there is a party planner and why not take some time out for game night?
Finally, at the end, she is going to send all the runway clothes, which she only designs things she wants to wear, to her mother. There was nothing wrong with the mother's build, but she's not a 20-something runway model. It would have made more sense to give them to the friend.
Overall, it felt like this was written by someone in middle school.

What is with the narrative explaining everything that is happening? Did you think as an audience we aren't smart enough to follow the story. Very annoying and so not necessary.

Lighting is not balanced throughout the film. Almost every scene renders some cast members into practically different people, especially Allie and Marie. Often I could not tell if I were looking at the same people. Some cast even seemed to gain and lose substantial amounts of weight from one scene to another, while beauty varied from common to exquisite.
Too bad: because despite starting with a near-impossible plot catalyst, the script and acting are actually quite good, the characters are interesting, and the action flow holds the attention.
The lighting quality did improve as the film progressed. I would watch it again.

That was the Described Video you heard. Don't know why CityTv forced it on all of us fans of cheeseball cinema. You didn't enjoy knowing when someone looked at their coffee cup?

The movie was kinda cute, but I found the narrative that kept up from the beginning all the way to the end extremely frustrating.
I kept pausing the movie trying to figure out how to turn it off.
I got so aggravated that I almost deleted the movie entirely from my tivo.
Then I found this review page and decided to take my frustrations out here.
I definitely did not enjoy someone telling me exactly what I was looking at.
I have no problem with my eyes which is why I wanted to WATCH a movie and not listen to it. Totally distracted from the movie like someone making too much noise in a theater and everyone shushing them.
