In my view, the greatest and best gift the United States has ever had, just the fact of being an abolitionist and having determined the end of slavery there would be enough to make the best and moreover it did in the midst of a very turbulent time between disputes between the south and the north, abolitionists versus slaveholders, George Washington is probably only considered the greatest because he was the first president and fundamental "colonizer" of the USA and responsible for being him, as we know them today... Abraham Lincoln the greatest and best present that the United States has ever had, just the fact of being an abolitionist and having determined the end of slavery...
