One is never quite sure what the outcome of this afterlife court will be. Will it be Heaven or Hell? There are comedic moments mostly provided by Phil the choreographer. But be under no illusion this is a high-stakes game. The prosecutor is sure of winning the case (for Hell) and it would seem the rookie council for the defence has a weak case to save her client. One of the questions was 'why' was the hearing taking place at all. Was there something about the client that merited his redemption. In the end there was a twist to the tale which I found a little underwhelming (I knocked off a star for that) but it was a captivating journey.
Played with a top-notch cast. Among them is Character actor Richard Reihle who plays Phil and A-list star James Purefoy (well known in the UK at least) who turns up in the later part of the film.

Well played. We can see that's made on a budget. The ending made me think if it is worth it... maybe yes, maybe no. At least I had a good time, it wasn't wasted. Could be better? Sure.

I went into this movie with very low expectations. I thought it was just going to be another cheap, low budget affair. I put it on at 4 in the morning figuring it would be so bad that I'd just roll over and go to sleep. I was wrong in my expectations.
This movie is about a hearing in Limbo to see whether a guy goes to Heaven or Hell. There is a prosecutor and a defense attorney each making their case against or for the defendant. I found the movie engaging. I did not roll over and fall asleep.
Limbo is a low budget affair, but they do an excellent job with what they have. It is NOT horror. How it ever got that designation I will never understand. Because it deals with Hell? Sorry no frights or scares.

This was a very enjoyable film. I didn't know what to expect, but as it began to unfold, I found myself getting quite engaged in the character development. The performances were all strong, save a few moments where Colliard maybe seemed a bit out of his comfort zone and tired. But big props to the cast. Lew Temple plays his part extremely well. There are comedic moments, and dark moments. Each time I thought I had the story figured out, another turn would occur. The end did surprise me, which is quite hard to do these days.
It is a low budget film, so if you can overlook a lack of big budget sets, and enjoy this movie as the character study it is, you might find this to be a movie you remember for a while.

Acting was quite alright considering the script!

With only a sentence to go on on Tubi TV, the premise of this movie had my attention. But this is Tubi, so I didn't expect much. Perhaps that's why I enjoyed it so much! It's an interesting tale from start to finish. I didn't know what to expect, I didn't know what the rules were, it was all just fun for me. And although this obviously is religious in nature, it's not one of those shows that beat you over the head with it. I believe the intention is merely to entertain, and I do applaud everyone who worked on this for succeeding in that regard. There is some language and gore but given the subject matter I guess that would be expected. Sorry I don't want to say more because I don't want to spoil anything. Go check it out! It's neat.

I wouldn't go that far to say that Limbo is a gem like somebody else wrote, but the story itself isn't bad. It's a bit different, not one of those déjà vu movies in the horror genre. Well horror is a big word, because that's not really the case for Limbo. Everything happens in hell, or just before hell, and there are some demons, but it's all more dramatic than scary. The acting is not award winning but not bad either. Limbo is a bit different from all the rest, but I'm glad I watched it.

As one viewer mentioned, it's like a play and fans of Man From Earth will like it. (Awesome movie that one btw, give it a go)
Story that keeps you waiting to see what comes next, mediocre acting (I suppose no one expected Oscar level perfomances here), good pacing and a very pretty attorney.
Overall an interesing movie that I was very sceptical of and ready to turn it off, but never got to. Recommended.
P.S. IMDB should change the horror tag for the fantasy one. Nothing scary here don't worry. :)

It's a obvious lower budget, as I believe the whole film takes place in one room. There is not action or horror...it's all dialogue...but it seems to work. It's something that would work well as a written short story. It's basically Heaven & Hell debating a mans soul. And yeah, that's about all it is... I get it, sounds kind of boring... & if you're not in the right mood? It will be. However, if you go into it with an open mid, you'll actually enjoy it.
