This movie has a draw that will appeal to those who like the unexpected. Grave and Meeks are brilliant, Writing and Directing. They got strong performances by all actors. Top notch performance from a crew who are not very well known. all the scene are well balance, and the shots of the scenes are the Best I have seen. I wish them the best of luck with all up coming work.

Frankly, there is virtually nothing to recommend this film. They lost me almost immediately, when the showed what appears to be a coral snake in an arid region.
The story line is marginal, The script is worse than that. The acting is awful.

I've just seen the UK premiere of this one in Birmingham's 'Mocking Bird Cinema' at the Cine-Excess film conference. I highly endorse it. Its grubby realism grips throughout and the script was earthy and not in the least bit pretentious. Stunning camera work too.
Director Duane Graves was even kind enough to give us a Skype chat before the premiere. He has achieved incredible results on a modest budget, in part by managing to get hold of vintage anamorphic lenses and by carefully negotiating free access to his filming locations. He told us his next project is apparently called 'Chill Canyon' - but he's given himself a hard act to follow...

This is a real nice western, if you can get past the fact that we'rent in the 2000's. Then you will do fine, i think its awesome they tried to enact actual gunslinger emotions rather than try out some transformer-"stuff".
I have to say, these guys are on a drama-level.I haven't heard about any of them but i have to say i was pretty impressed with their performances:).
i very much enjoyed the movie!
Hmpf. OK.
Im not gonna give you a poem!

First of, let me say that I really don't understand the ratings any more! How is it possible that a redundant piece of CT... like 'the hateful eight' has a rating of eight while this name worthy spaghetti western only reaches four and a half?
Please, do not believe for a second that this score resembles anything of what the movie really is.
It had me going for the whole nine yards... The actors all fitted more than well for a western. They all did what they had to do and gave (although somewhat clichéd) their characters that distinguished touch.
From the very start it takes you on the ride and never lets you out of its grip. It's rough, bloody, humorous, a dash of mystery and even a little surrealistic touch near the end.
The dialogue never annoyed me because it was always straight to the point and never got out of touch with what was happening.
And hats of for the fact that the whole movie resides around the villains. It's not like I was really connected to them, but still I constantly was curious about what was going to happen next. Maybe you'll think I'm stating the obvious here, but let's be honest, if it was that easy to keep your audience interested, then there would be no bad movies.
They even did a very nice job with the music. No masterpiece, but still giving that spaghetti feeling all the way. It just felt good...
So, if you are in doubt and are reading this humble opinion, then please do not hesitate, just watch it! You will not regret it!
They left one little hole (definitely no pun intended) with that 'fine little *', but it was nothing that bothered me in the end. I merely got a 'hmm, I wonder why she did this or said that'. Nothing severe though.
And yes, maybe I am overrating it with a nine, but I had to withhold myself for not giving it a ten because the current rating (I know, I'm repeating myself here, but I have to...) is truly despicable and totally unfair toward the makers! To those whom were feeling compelled to give this less than a seven I have only one thing to say: asinine.
There, I spilled my guts and if you watch the film, you'll know why...

This movie is classified as a horror flick on Netflix. I'm an hour and a half in and I have yet to see the horror?
Maybe they consider a few gun fights as horror these days? To make matters worse, I find it difficult to understand what the actors are saying at times.
Hoping there might be something if I can make it all the way through, which is doubtful. I really don't care about any of the characters at this point.
There is a cute girl that shows up about halfway through, so all is not lost.
This thing rates no more than 1 star.
Don't waste your time.

After seeing this Independent, unusual Film, I was taken back in just how well it was all put together. It had me fully entertained from beginning to the End! I recommend seeing it, to actually believe how truly "Magnificent" and different it is from others I have seen. It had me squirming, as well as Laughing, and just when I thought it couldn't possibly be any more hair raising, it really surprised me and blew me away! This puts a totally new meaning to the old "Spaghetti Westerns", which even as a Child, I could relate to. For I have watched plenty of them, with my Dad, and he would have Loved this one! God rest his soul. So, for those who haven't seen it, Check it out. I doubt you'll be disappointed!

This flick definitely is different, but in a very good way! It encircles many genres which makes it very unique. The characters are interesting and create many layers to the film. The Texas scenery is absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. You really do get a feel for the times with the great costumes, appropriate settings, and what seems to be authentic language for 1900. The main actor performed very well and kept the movie exciting. For a low budget film, you could not tell the difference. They did an awesome job with what the had available to them. The ending was very creative and unexpected. It keeps you on your toes for sure. Love how it ties in with the real history of the area. I would definitely recommend this movie. It is not for the faint of heart though. You may need to watch it twice to catch all the details.

The best way to approach this movie is to ask yourself the following questions: "Do I like independent, lower budget movies?" "Do I like movies that have no major A-list stars?" "Do I like violent spaghetti Western movies?" "Do I like movies that try something NEW?" If you answered yes to most of these questions, then you will likely enjoy this film as much as I did. If you want a sterile, familiar, typical plot line like in FORSAKEN or DIABLO, then this is most likely NOT the movie for you. That's what great independent movies do. They offer an alternative to the spoon fed Hollywood crap. This is not McDonald's, it's a mom/pop restaurant that you have to look up on Yelp to even find. KILL OR BE KILLED has a nasty, bloody side that it is NOT scared to show you. The main characters are bad people, and it gets darker and darker as it goes further into the story. I was throughly entertained by all the elements and will recommend this one to anyone who answers "yes" the the above questions. Have fun. CT
