This movie is getting some pretty bad reviews but it seems that most of them are complaining about wardrobe and and the plot being too predictable. I thought the movie was entertaining it's worth a watch. Not the best western I've ever seen but I'm sure with the budget they had they did a pretty good job and the story wasn't all that bad.

This is a modest story with a terrific script full intentionally laugh out lines by some very fine performers. I have been around movies for 60 years, I have written them and acted in them. When I read what some have said I get the impression the reviewers have the mental age of three and never been near a studio. One has implored you not to waste your time watching this movie, I am imploring you to take no notice. On a broader level, if there is one thing you can be sure of in a wester is that the plot will come very much an also ran to the performances. High Noon is a classic example. Cooper is not going to die. We all know this. Predictable as the setting sun. But what enthrals us is him. His uncertainly and willingness to got through with the job. Here it is a case of determination to deliver justice. All the bad men are wonderfully bad and the good guy is great at mumbling his goodness. The filming is top class and the sets match it.

"Justice" is not a bad film, the trouble is it is half a century out of date. Having said that, the soundtrack is distinctly on the superior side. The film begins with the murder of a preacher in his church by the local mafia which is run by a man who has aspirations of political power. Then guess who rides into town? Yup, his brother, who just happens to be a marshall. He didn't realise his brother was dead, but of course he is nothing like a preacher, so revenge is in the air, and cleaning up the town. There is a bit more to it than that, but the only real surprise comes towards the end, something that is either supernatural, karma or a bizarre happenstance depending on how religious you are or not. Our brooding anti-hero is authentic, but Clint Eastwood and a few others have long since done this character to death.

Gee, I saw four guys, four writers wrote this screenplay, at first I thought it would be good since there were four guys sat together to patch up all the illogical holes for each other. But unfortunately, they all turned out to be morons and certified by this lousy movie. The reverend/preacher wrote a letter to his brother in the church, but before he got the chance to send it out, not by email or priority mail or express mail or registered mail, he was killed and then burnt to death with the church, including the desk he wrote that letter, which he put inside when a barmaid came to him seeking for help. Funny thing is later when his veteran brother came to town seeking him out, all he could find was a burn-down church site. Miraculously, the woman who took him to his brother's burial site took out that letter his preacher brother never got the chance to mail to him. The whole church was gone, the preacher brother was burnt to death, might just some ashes left later for burial, everything was burnt and gone, yet the un-mailed letter miraculously survived. Lousy movie with bad screenplay, bad directing, bad acting, bad....nothing is good. Don't even think about watching it, just don't bother, man. YOU THINK I AM THAT STUPID LIKE YOU FOUR GUYS, THE DIRECTOR AND THE WHOLE PRODUCTION GROUP?!!! Jesus.....

True, this certainly isn't a great movie. But if I look at all the 1 star reviews, those are also an exaggeration. This movie is worth 5 starts (if you're into westerns). I wouldn't pay to see this in a cinema. But for a rainy Thursday evening, with nothing better to do, it's entertaining enough.

I kept asking myself, "Is this a comedy?" No, a comedy would be more entertaining. I had to conclude this was not an attempt at parody. I am thinking that the people responsible for this unbelievably ridiculous, half-baked insult to the cinematic arts were actually serious. I'm sure they were junior high school students with a lot of money. The characters are thin, stereotypical shadows of archetypal heroes and villains and damsels in distress. The sophomoric story and never developed plot will leave you embarrassed for the poor souls whose names appear in the credits. The scenery was pretty good, though.

I love a good western so much that I can even enjoy a fair to medium one. This one never rose to the lowest level. I also write for the stage so I recognize good writing. And directing. Let me list a few glaring shortcomings here: Writing. Directing. Sets. Make up. Costumes. Probably more. Everything seemed to be deficient. Perhaps the actors could have been good . . . but not when living with these problems. This production -for most involved- will probably be poisonous to their careers and for this I sympathize with them. One star. It goes downhill from there. During the credits at the end of "Justice", I noticed the names listed for the people in town and those who appeared as Army soldiers. It is entitled: TOWNSPEOPLE AND CALVERY. Suddenly I realized that my earlier, unflattering remarks were well deserved. Make it ½ star.

I thought that the day of the good western was still around the corner this mess proves that its not around the corner nor is it anywhere is sight. How it took a bunch of people to write this I have no idea it names three and tells you there may be more guilty of inflicting this on the viewing public.I on't spoil the ending because thats the best part (when the finishing credits roll by) picture a cowboy on a horse we are to believe he has come a long way looking at the absence of any real dust, then the fact he has no bed roll. (the saddle bags seem to come and go ) but as far as having anything to cook with,to sleep on or at some time change a shirt which he does ther is nothing to sustain him come forward a little (that's if you haven't turned it off like i should have)he is asked by the girl (there is always a girl) where is is spending the night to which he answers I will sleep out(what on?)still no food still no blankets cooking gear man this cowboy is tough the town is also a classic there are so many people walking back a forth carts coming down the street its one busy little place in the part of where you and I read the goofs ther is something about the church one better than the one mentioned is that the villains are only a few steps away when the church caves in you would not want to go there on a Sunday with the candles lit. Look if you want excitement don't pick this shocker try an o;d episode of Rawhide.
