1. Where's the father? 2. Why is he not looking after the children as it seems that the mother is incapable of doing so? 3. Why does the mother eat her drug pills like candy and just not swallow them? 4. Why does a 10 year old (I'm assuming that's his age) have to look after his younger sibling? 5. Why do the children not have adult supervision? 6. Why don't the children go to school? 7. How can that big a&& spider move around so quickly and nobody notices it? 8. Why is all the responsibility of all chores including taking care of his sister fall on the young boy? 9. Why don't they ever eat? 10. Why did the police lady not taken the children away from that awful pathetic mother? Ok some of these questions are silly but still. This movie kinda sucked. The intro was kinda ok that's why I gave the movie a three.

Gosh, my only hope is for the spiders to kill all of them, bcoz all of the characters here is sooo cringey. Gosh, im appraise the spiders and the breeding more at the end of movie. Gosh, so lack of storyline..im barely watching halfway through the movie cuz im sleepyhead and bored to death. Not recommended this movie, avoid to watch if you dont want to die because of boredom.

So this family rock up at their new, empty house, and the mother immediately abandons her two kids and expects them to unpack all their possessions/erect beds/set up lamps etc etc, which, somehow they do, then leaves them alone every day while she goes and enjoys a hillbilly heroin addiction in a café. Oh yes, and there's a spider. Occasionally. Bloody awful movie. The director should go and hide in shame.

I wasn't really expecting much from "Itsy Bitsy" given the fact that a lot of movies with monstrous spiders in them tend to be quite questionable, either in special effects or just the overall plot. However, I still sat down to watch the 2019 movie "Itsy Bitsy", despite of its somewhat cheesy title. After all, it is a creature feature and I do enjoy such horror movies. And luckily so, because "Itsy Bitsy" from writers Jason Alvino, Bryan Dick and Micah Gallo actually turned out to be rather enjoyable. The storyline told here in "Itsy Bitsy" was a bit over simplified. I mean, an ancient urn is broken and a carnivorous spider is awoken in the process. Sure, it sounds like an interesting tale, but look at it realistically, then it was just actually a stupid storyline. But still, for a creature feature of this kind, you don't need realism - you need a solid creature and an entertaining movie. Turns out that "Itsy Bitsy" actually had that and was that, so this was actually an entertaining and enjoyable movie. And the spider in the movie was just phenomenal. It really looked realistic, and it was such a joy to watch it scuttle about in the movie and do its business. And for a creature feature, then having believable and realistic special effects and/or CGI is everything. They had that here, so thumbs up to the special effects team. It was nice to see Bruce Davison in a movie such as this, and he really performed well in his role. I wasn't particularly familiar with Elizabeth Roberts, but she performed quite well also, and she had a very interesting character to work with in the movie. And if you are a true horror fan, then you will be pleased to see that Denise Crosby is also in the movie. I can warmly recommend that you take the time to sit down and watch "Itsy Bitsy" if you enjoy creature features that have that old school classic feel to it in terms of horror movies. I am rating "Itsy Bitsy" seven out of ten stars.

I am a big fan of horror-movie silliness. One such example is how the horror events are initiated here. An African guy arrives uninvited to the house of the widower of a woman that helped the African during his childhood. It's basically the black guy saying something like "I owe your wife a lot, and so to repay my debt to her, I bring you this gift - a huge spider that will start killing people off randomly and make your life miserable". Not in these exact words, of course, but that's basically what he came for. It makes little sense, especially his smashing of his "gift", which resulted in his own demise - indicating that he didn't know what the hell he was bringing. And yet, we were previously led to believe that he did know. But yeah, ignore logic. The main thing is that the writer got an excuse to unleash the spider! Sure, he could have done this in a much more intelligent, more convincing way, but I guess logic (and especially writing) isn't his strong suit. There is more bizarre nonsense later on too. For example the bizarre sheriff, played with B-movie zeal by the highly untalented nepotist Denise Crosby, prying into whassername's private affairs, just because whassername was freaked out by a kid screaming at the window. Well, it's either that or because the local sheriff is bored and likes to pick up the latest gossip. I didn't realize a sheriff's job description included being a psychologist to random strangers, even if the cop in question happens to be a woman. Not that I immediately realized that Crosby was a female sheriff. In fact, every time Sheriff Crosby appears, her character just gets weirder and dumber. One of her assistant cops is cast as a weird-looking slacker type from a Linklater indie flick. The whole film is like this: off. Tilted to the side. To the side of unnecessary silliness. Rather silly is the nurse's reaction when she shoves her kids out of the spider-infested room: instead of following them outside, she STAYS inside, as some sort of pointless moment of self-sacrifice - as if having herself killed right in front of them will somehow be beneficial to her kids. She had plenty of time to leave the room, hence her decision was a laughably over-dramatic plot-device decision from the awful writers. Speaking of dramatic, there is way too much family drama here, especially for a horror film. A MONSTER flick with characterization! Yeah, we sure needed that. We are constantly bored with her flashbacks and her pill addiction. I mean, it's not even a proper addiction like heroin or crack! The spiders start wrecking havoc only ONE HOUR into the movie. So yes, you've been warned. By the time they finally go on the attack against humans, you will be so utterly bored you won't give a hoot. Or you might even be rooting for them. Then again... the cat. Unforgivable. Spiders are definitely the bad guys here. When asked how she bumped her head, the girl says: "I was looking for kitty-cat in the sticky snow with the dolls." Of course, if she had simply said "I was trying to find the missing cat in the huge-ass spider web that's covered the entire attic as well as all my dolls" then the plot would have gone forward, moving somewhere. Alas, kids get used as padding, as goofy plot-devices to stretch out a thin plot about a large spider invading a house. Because nobody ever believes them. And because they speak Nonsensese at the most inopportune moments. Well, I did say the writing was pitiful. Why are the three of them allowed to remain in the house after the owner is found killed by something that might indicate a biological threat? No explanation there either.

I felt it was very drawn out, we get it the mother has a addiction, and has flashbacks - they overly repeated this and really it had nothing to do with the plot, the mother seemed to really neglect these kids, I felt the spider was the least of their worries. anyways I was hoping there would of been a special way to defeat the spider (like get help from the tribe or the artifact), but blah it focused more on the drama and trauma rather then the spider which was well done but only a short part of the movie. it should have been called 'just a itsy bitsy addiction 4/10

This is probably the most insufferable movie that i saw this year. I didn't had any expectations before watching it and i didn't even heard about the movie from anyone and after seeing it: it's not surprising that no one mentions it at all. The story is very average and there are some moments that are very dumb and predictable; horribly written characters that it's hard to relate to; weak cinematography that doesn't have any appealing, great or memorable camera work; dialogue that was OK at best; the music was average and forgettable; the practical effects look OK, but they are not amazing or fantastic, so that it can make the movie watchable or worth watching; the sound is alright, but it does have some stock sound effects, which were distracting in some moments; very weak acting from the adult actors, but unfortunately it also includes horrible child acting, especially the little girl, who is impossible to take very seriously when she is on screen and gives the worst performance in the entire movie. I was trying to find something positive that i can say or give to the movie, but it was impossible. It's a movie that i'll probably never going to watch ever again. So do yourself a favor and just skip it.
