Big surprise for me, but movie is good. Not perfect, you can find a lot of cliches, but if you want to do it...if not, relax and watch. It's better to watch the film immediately after the first episode, so that you get one big story. The graphics are not amazing, but you need to understand, this is not Hollywood, and the funds here are completely different. And also, the film advertises the modern Russian army well. It is a definitely a step forward for the Russian film industry.

A Russian remake of American Independence day, where the aliens are acting differently, but with the same outcome. A must watch for sci-fi movie lovers.

Right on path with the CGI, Cool idea about the water technology, the ships and the huge scale cyber attack, but they have exaggerated on the later. What they really need here is to find someone that has some sense of ridiculousness. The characters motives, actions and dialogue itself is bad. There is a lot of facepalm moments here. I could not care less for anyone, the characters are all so dislikable, especially Yulya.

I love watching them because they are out of perception. So you either love it or hate it as you can not place what you are seeing in a context of your experience. Its not a comic book but how things work in a different way. The audio is dubbed nto english which is okay but many things might be missing but they did an ok job on it. Sub titles might have been better as the flow is just a regular scifi of alien guy falling for earther and came back from the dead to get her back.. The scenery is as strange as prometheus but with a twist. Watch it just so get your mind out of a knot. If you cant grasp anything then it means you are too focused on the scifi movies of the past which have more context to real life. There are no humans dressed up as bears in this. Although not as strange as some others and not as much action either, it is a different way to show another love story.

The main problem of this film is that there is no sane narration, sane plot. The complete lack of acting tries to be compensated for by the loudness of the sound and visual effects. But to no avail. The complete victory of form over content. I do not recommend to watch.

This movie joins a long and honorable list of sequels that should not have been made but were made anyway because of the success of the originals (think Pacific Rim Uprising or Independence Day 2 ). The sequel dropped the deeper philosophical elements of the original entirely and filled the remaining space with even more action scenes. And if you throw enough action scenes in a movie, some of them will end up being good. Unfortunately this yields a poorly paced, loud, and ultimately derivative movie, though Michael Bay would probably approve it.
