I have always been a fan of ferrigno and this movie did not disappoint, it was action packed the fight scenes seemed to be very well thought out and the acting was good inboughIit and have watched several times.

This is another vigilante film. Death Wish VI would be too obvious. John Bradley (Lou Ferrigno) is now a civilian with PTSD and a colonel handler like Rambo. John witnesses a killing by drug dealer Razor (Jerry Anderson) who "leaves no witnesses." John's family becomes victims and John goes "Death Wish" all over the drug gang on a take no prisoners, show no mercy mission.
Lou can't act. He is like a Neanderthal Seagall, except he can still move. His lisp and inability to communicate adds a camp element to the film, i.e. "so bad it is good." The western music at the end made me chuckle. If you like a mindless "Death Wish" type of film, this is it. No twists.

All the money went to Lou and Razor but that's not to say it's to the detriment of your overall enjoyment. While the rest of the actors range from poor moderate or simply OK, and just a few are occasionally good
Lou and Razor do a fine job, Razor's heartless bastard performance actually convinces. The movie itself moves at a reasonable pace, first 5 minutes aside. It reminds you of the 51st state with slightly lower production values.
Personal take
This is the sort of film of which reviewers who should not leave a review because they do not embrace the genre will say things about like, "just wasted a half hour of my life".
In my case, I feel fans of Indie Brit flicks with that American twist will enjoy it, or anyone who just wants to see Jerry Anderson doing his best Ray Winstone impersonation. If you want a deeper plot or high production values with a perfect script then this may not be for you. For the former group there are some sadistic scenes and some reasonable action to be had (given Lou's getting on a bit).
High art this is not, but a guilty pleasure for some
maybe!
Overall, I enjoyed it.

Instant Death is like a 70's grindhouse exploitation film on speed. Okay, I have to say, I have been an Arnold Schwarzenegger fan since I saw "Predator" in 1987. Technically, can Arnold "act"? No. But people that is NOT what you watch an action movie for. You want acting? Watch Shakespeare. Lou Ferrigno is a delight to see and watch. Unlike Steven Seagal, Lou hasn't "let himself go" physically. On the contrary, Lou Ferrigno is arguably in the best shape of his life in this film. Thanks to Director / Producer Ara Paiaya for digging up this 80's icon and bringing him back to the mainstream better than he has ever looked, acted and for creating such an action packed melodrama. I was a kid in the late 70's/early 80's, one of my favorite TV shows was the cult classic "The Incredible Hulk". Like it even more now at the age of 50! Aren't I terrible?! Watch "Instant Death" for what it is. A KICK-BUTT action film by a body building LEGEND!

i would like to give only 2 start, old story line with same revenge drama with action scenes without sense. poor screen play poor action sequences poor cast poor story line. in start i was really expecting some good action because of the strong character of villain shown in move but later on table turn around like we are watching a dream and hero start killing big gangsters like nothing without getting single wound from them.

This is the classic recycled story line that was written on a Saturday afternoon. There are no big names because the movie quite simply was awful. The choreography, cinematic sequences , screenplay were all very amateurish. Even if you remove the poor story line, plenty of clichés and terrible acting, the action sequences don't make up for it. The villains are seemingly fighting an immortal being that is not just impervious to harm but cannot be touched. The whole film is so surreal and unrealistic it's laughable.
The main enemy Razor (cliche name) is trying to be Ray Winstone a little too much and seems that Lou is trying to be Jason Stathom. The fact they try to copy the styles so poorly would suggest the director has never directed before and perhaps shouldn't again. I've seen a lot of movies in my life and this is just another one of those movies that will never really go any further than the discount section of Tesco.
I would not recommend people spend money on this movie. It's a straight to DVD release that will probably not ever be aired on TV and will be forgotten in a month.

I love a good action movie cliché. It only takes 23 minutes for us to get to a strip club! Lou does a run-in on the strip club from earlier and bitch slaps a bunch of the guys before beating the utter pulp out of everyone and taking out the boss man. Ferrigno's fighting style is very tree-like. I mean, the man is 65 years old so he can't be expected to move like he's still 25. His bulking size keeps it from looking too ridiculous at any point and I bought in pretty quickly. Cult classic!

How on earth did this absolute rubbish earn a 4.6 rating???
This guy,Lou Ferrigno, is ten times worse that Arnie EVER was and doesn't have a single catch-phrase.
To say that ANY part of this film is dreadful, would be to flatter it.
As for Jerry Anderson trying to be Ray Winstone? What a complete and utter joke! My 94yo mum is a harder man than pathetic Jerry!
Please, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!

Hulk meets The Terminator! At some point during the finale the bad guys just give up trying to shoot Lou. They basically run at him while he clotheslines them and beats them up Kung Fu style. It probably works in their favor because some of them don't get their necks broken and if they had tried to shoot him they would have been dead to rights.I enjoyed the simplicity of the film and the brutality that ensued was just what I was hoping for. Props to director Ara Paiaya for making an entertaining and worthy addition to the 'Old guy gets back into the killing game to get revenge for a friend or family member' sub-genre.
