I thought it was very good with their budget. Gotta watch for the details closely.

If I'd read some of these reviews beforehand I might have been put off (but you quickly see they clearly haven't actually watched the film most of them, or at least not all of it), but I'd read the proper reviews so thought I'd give it a go. (I saw their last film too, so knew it'd be a slow-burn story that requires more attention that most!). I'll just reiterate what some of the others have said in that this is a low-budget movie shot on a phone - so know what you're getting. I LOVED what they'd done (just the two of them!) and I find it massively inspiring to see young filmmakers do something of this quality, with this level of intelligence (which, by the way, you'll need to watch it, they don't dumb things down and hand it all to you on a plate). You've got to put the work in when you're watching, but that's good filmmaking, they don't pander to the few people who aren't going to make the effort in figuring things out. Not everything is explained, and that's partly because this is (according to interviews with the filmmakers) part of a larger project that they've been working on for a while. So this is a taster of the bigger world, which I can't wait to see! But if that doesn't appeal, just don't watch it! Very simple.

A seriously good sci-fi indie film with one of my favorite actors, Ian McKellen. It's a win for me. Script was well written and made during the pandemic so credit to the filmmakers. Good work!

They tried to create a linear story to explain how simultaneous actions can somehow offer a best solution at the end. But ended up with mostly inane actions in a world that suddenly changes for no obvious reason. And interruptions by glimpses of other times it seems. With yes, ear splitting sound and a bit of a bait and switch with the poster. With my final nail in the coffin being no big conclusion, just one more thread in the web. Some may be fine with that, but...

Really enjoyed this. Not sure I totally got it and it definitely deserves a second viewing to untangle some of the first part of the story. But this is totally intentional by the director, to have you feeling exactly what the character is feeling and I get why it might be a little intense for some people, especially at the moment as we're all still feeling very much as the main character is. But I think this will be a film that, in the years to come, people will look back to see the kind of art that the pandemic inspired. It's a glimpse of the frustration, the feeling of helplessness that we're all living. It's beautifully shot, beautifully acted and put together and I think will be around for a long while. It's a no budget job, and that seems to offend people on this site these days, but if you can see past that you're going to enjoy it. I read that this is a companion film to other pieces in the world, and it's absolutely an intriguing beginning that leaves it massively open to a next chapter - very little is answered in this film, in fact you'll come away with more questions than anything. But I love that and can't wait to see what happens next in the story. Oh, and Ian McKellen and Conleth Hill are just cameos in this - it seems that some people think they should have been bigger parts (how in a pandemic when they weren't allowed to film anything?!) - but they've worked with the filmmakers a dozen times so this was clearly a favour to two exciting movie makers.

This is a real mixture of reviews! Looks like people either love it or hate it! But the critics are liking it and I can see why. For two people to have done this is extraordinary and you can't take that away from them. I kinda looks like the 1 star brigade have, as usual, not watched the whole film. It's twisting little film, shot in lockdown with no crew, no equipment or budget, but is better than a lot of the movies that are shoved down our throats these days. You've got to concentrate and I think that some of the angry shouting (all men) lot just don't have that in them. Definitely a film to watch more than once to fully get the nuances I think.
