I'm lowkey expecting this to be as good as Zhang Yimou's shadow. Of course, I was dissapointed. Can we get a razzies for this?

First off, I wasn't aware that this was a sequel. I couldn't tell. I would not have known that it was a sequel if I hadn't read other reviews. Oftentimes you can tell if a movie is a sequel (other than by title) because you will usually get the sense that you missed certain things. This movie was so confusing that I couldn't tell it was a sequel. I couldn't tell what it was about really. Donnie Yen's character is a general, some kind of elite warrior who protects the Ming Dynasty's Emperor What's His Name (it doesn't matter). He has 3 childhood friends who are warriors too. Two of them are the bad guys because reasons and the other one is on Donnie's character's side but doesn't really do much and doesn't seem to be too significant. Donnie's character (Ho Ying) is in a love triangle that is incredibly uninteresting and not really a love triangle because he digs one chick (she's from the future... I think... her smartphone seems to work in ancient China.) and doesn't really pay attention to the other (sort of). There's a lot of goofy space-time philosophical mumbo-jumbo and time traveling onto crowded trains. Ancient warriors seem to live having sword fights on trains. People get killed, some monk gives Ho advice, Ho walks down two paths in a road and stuff happens because reasons. And then the Japanese bad guy gets his head cut off in the future. Donnie Yen narrates some goofball crap. Credits. It's a big ball of I don't get it. The action sequences are ridiculous and dull, somehow at the same time. The dialogue is a bunch of jibberish that makes you soon realize that plot doesn't matter. I really wish I could get into clearer detail but I am still really confused about what I just witnessed. I think the good guys won and everyone was saved... but the story was so muddled and twisted that there really wasn't an ending at all. Or a beginning. Or something. My brain hurts. If you hate reality, sanity and logic, by all means watch Iceman: The Time Traveler. Otherwise go watch something less confusing like a rendition of Gone With The Wind acted out by sock puppets speaking in Pig-Klingon. I give this movie Huh?/10.

Ok, I never review movies but I need you all to save 2 hours of your life because this is the worst movie I've ever seen in my life! Iceman 1 was bad but it was watchable and somewhat funny. This sequel is simply retarded. The plot was likely written by a bunch kindergarteners who wonders how time travel would be like. And the acting is equally bad, Donnie Yen's face when he sees his mother dead is laughable...if it wasn't for his martial arts he probably is the worst chinese actor there is. He's never been a good actor in my book, this movie just proves it. Somehow in the end, I believe this movie is just the product of corrupted and powerful Chinese filmmakers who lacks the imagination needed to make a decent movie.

I appreciated the other reviews and watched to see how bad it was. It was enjoyable. The photography was exceptional; the settings elegant; the set design excellent and the costumes exquiste. The characters were intriguing but the plot was mystifying. I got that they moved around in time but not how that worked and what they were trying to accomplish - maybe it would have helped to have seen the prequel. I was okay with the device for transporting to different times, the cell phone working in the 1600s and everyone speaking the same language (that's what the subtitles indicated ;) but didn't care for the violence and there is no way they could have driven past the Forbidden City that fast. Have you been on that street? Traffic moves slower than pedestrians. I liked this astwell as the Ipman films and it was better than the Chinese police movies. Reviewers saying this was the worst movie they ever saw but they probably have not seen "Santa Claus vs the Martians" nor Adam Sandler's "The Waterboy".

My review title said it all. This is literally the worst movie i've ever seen in my entire life. During the movie i kept on thinking how could someone make such a horrible and bad movie like this, and even worst, how could a great actor like Donnie Yen willing to act on such a hideous plot. Seriously guys, save your money and run away as far as possible from this movie. I can't find another words beside horrible, but this is just the most horrible movie.

What a disappointment ... Why is the storyline so confusing and not directed. Like there is no certainty of the story to the end

Super funny and did not feel i wasted time watching this movie at all, i cant believe all the low reviews. People must have horrible lives to have rated it so low. Glad I watched it, worth every minute of my time. Great action movie, funny, and had a blast watching this!!

I genuinely enjoyed the 2014 "Iceman" movie with Donnie Yen, so I was rather surprised to find this 2018 sequel, especially since I hadn't even heard about it prior to getting a chance to sit down and watch it. So of course I needed no persuasion to sit down and watch "Iceman: The Time Traveler" (aka "Bing feng: Yong Heng Zhi Men"). But this movie was nothing like the first movie. Not even remotely. Sure, it was the same characters and set in the same universe. But storywise this was a heap of rubbish. There was little coherency to the storyline and it just felt like a random collection of ideas that the director put together as they went along. The action sequences and martial arts were good, that much should be said for the movie, but it was not enough to make up for a total lack of proper storyline and script. Throughout the entire movie, I felt my interest slipping and drifting, but I stuck with the movie to the end, just in the hopes of it becoming better. However, it did not, and this movie ended up a less than mediocre sequel to an otherwise entertaining movie. This is definitely not an outstanding movie in the Donnie Yen collection of action movies. Worth a single view if you are a fan of his, but don't expect to be blown away.

I was waiting for this move since long time, but I didn't understand why Donnie wasting his time for this trash move. I hope Donnie not act any movie like this otherwise he will lose his fans.
